So Many Cons Are Extremely Dense

What is the resolution of the human eye in megapixels?

The average human retina has five million cone receptors on it. Since the cones are responsible for color vision, you might suppose that this equates to a five-megapixel equivalent for the human eye.But there are also a hundred million rods that detect monochrome contrast, which plays an important role in the sharpness of the image you see. And even this 105MP is an underestimate because the eye is not a still camera. You have two eyes (no kidding!) and they continually flick around to cover a much larger area than your field of view and the composite image is assembled in the brain – not unlike stitching together a panoramic photo. In good light, you can distinguish two fine lines if they are separated by at least 0.6 arc-minutes (0.01.Degrees).This gives an equivalent pixel size of 0.3 arc-minutes. If you take a conservative 120 degrees as your horizontal field of view and 60 degrees in the vertical plane, this translates to …576 megapixels of available image data.Curiously – as a counterpoint to this – most people cannot distinguish the difference in quality between a 300dpi and a 150dpi photo when printed at 6×4″ when viewed at normal viewing distances. So: although the human eye and brain when combined can resolve massive amounts of data, for imaging purposes, a 150dpi output is more than enough to provide adequate data for us to accept the result as photographic quality. But don’t forget that women have more cones and men have more rods – I kid you not. Therefore the ladies see colors brighter than gents but can’t see as well when it gets dark. The new iPhone camera is 8-megapixels. Meanwhile, Canon is reportedly testing a new DSLR with 75-megapixels. But how many megapixels is the human eye? That is, how many megapixels would an image the size of your field of vision need to be to look normal?Well, as Vsauce explains in its latest video, the better question is actually: What is the resolution of the human eye? It’s a complicated question, one that must take into account the peculiar anatomy of the eye which is different than the less peculiar engineering of a digital camera. As such, it’s worth watching all ten minutes of the video, explaining not only how we see but also how well. Spoiler: the human eye is 576 megapixels—but really only about 7 megapixels matter.http://art-sheep.com/the-resolut...

Does New Jersey feel extremely overpopulated and crowded due to it having the highest density per capita in the U.S.?

New Jersey overall? Not at all.Newark, Trenton, Camden, Atlantic City, Jersey City, and Hoboken can feel confining, but they are cities. Places like New Brunswick and Elizabeth are also densely packed areas, but they really are extensions of the Newark-New York metro sprawl.Outside these specific places, New Jersey is quite wide open, and boasts thousands of park systems, small lakes for boating and swimming, the Pine Barrens, a long coastline of sandy beaches, and a mountain range that cuts through the northeastern part of the state providing skiing opportunities. The great thing about NJ's small size is that most of these beautiful places, barring traffic, are under three hours away from any given point in the state. Even if you live in the more densely parts of the state, you could escape quickly to a local campsite, a bike trail, or a canoe trip.More importantly, many towns take open spaces seriously, and put money and land aside to maintain excellent park systems, so that many residents are only minutes away from a chance to enjoy the outdoors.

Tungsten wedding bands for men ..pros and cons...?

Tungsten wedding bands are an excellent choice. There are several great things about tungsten rings.

Pros:
1. Tungsten rings will never bend. You can hammer it like crazy and it will always retain it's shape:

2. They never scratch. You can file away at it, and it will stay polished forever:

3. It's heavier than most most metals because of its density

4. You can't beat it's shine and polish

5. It's hypoallergenic so if you have any allergies, it won't happen with tungsten.

Cons:
1. Tungsten cannot be re-sized. So you need to find a reputable jeweler who will carry a lifetime warranty on their ring. If your ring size changes, you're stuck with the size you bought unless the jeweler will exchange the ring for you.

2. There's a lot of cheap tungsten jewelry out there. Cheap tungsten is made with cobalt which is used in light bulb filaments. You want to find tungsten with a nickel alloy. Slightly more expensive but it won't corrode and turn your finger brown. Stick with a brand name, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Why is harem so popular ???????????????

Like answers before mine, people are perverts. I personally can't stand the ecchi harem genre.

There are only a few harems I like simply because of the characters and plot and those are Kanon (2006), Clannad and Bakemonogatari.

Other than those three, most harems I've seen are the exact stereotypical same! They usually have flat, stereotyped, cliche, annoying and overused characters and most of the time there is little to no plot. Ecchi is the only thing that I can think of that makes it so popular.

Edit: Forgot to add that people like to "connect" with the harem protagonist. >.>

Pros and cons of Japan?

So much depends on when and where you go, and what your expectations are.
But in a nutshell:

Some Pros:
-----------------
Safe, law and order society
Great food
TOP NOTCH customer service
Superb public transportation
Deep history/culture
Comprehensive national health care
Generally friendly people
Beautiful mountains/countryside
High speed internet infrastructure

Some Cons:
------------------
High to insanely high prices
Extremely muggy summers & heavy rainy season
Lack of variety
Small, cramped housing & poor insulation
Densely overcrowded major cities
Extremely bureaucratic
Some lingering small townish attitudes
Flatline economy for over 20 years
Dearth of media

So depending on what you are looking for, you could have a good or not-so-good experience in Japan. Most people should do pretty well over all though.

What are the Pros and Cons of living in Japan as a foreigner?

Hi Anonymous

CONS
The cities are very crowded
Many streets are narrow and congested
The trains are overcrowded
It's difficult to keep Japanese houses warm in the winter
Speaking the language and also the written Japanese -especially kanji

PROS
The English language is not spoken fluently so it gives many of us useless bums a chance to be English teachers
Where I live (Hadano) it's great for bicycle riding as it's not crowded like Tokyo
It's a pretty safe country - I've been all over this joint and have never really experienced any trouble. Safer than the UK
Trains are on time.
Even though the summer is very humid, here in Hadano we do not use the air conditioner. We have the windows open day and night and let the air blow through. Three things keep me going in the summer (1) Electric fans (2) Cool showers (3) Ice-cubes made from fresh fruit
There's also an outdoor swimming pool just 5 mins by bicycle from us. It opened yesterday, so I went for a dip. Big pool and only 2 people using it. Costs only 200 yen.
Being a foreigner has some advantages - we can sometimes get away with things or do things that Japanese people cannot. The ignorant foreigner syndrome.
Your kids (if you have some) can often speak 2 languages (mine speak English & Japanese) which gives them more job opportunities.
I can 'teach' English using the telephone from my home so I have more time and I don't have to ride crowded trains (standing only)
