So The Miami Heat Lose One Game Against The 76ers And Now

Has an 8-seed team ever won the NBA?

Assuming you mean won the NBA championship, the answer would have to be No, no 8th seed has ever won the NBA championship. But it would definitely be a darn good playoffs to watch if it ever happens. 8th seed upsets, though rare, are quite interesting to watch with the most recent one coming to mind being the 2011–12 season when Derrick Rose went out with a torn ACL. The Bulls were up 2–0, and being the number 1 seed, many expected they would still beat the 76ers. The next four games then went to the 76ers as they closed out the Bulls in 6 games. Anyways, I hope I answered your question.Cheers

Will I be considered a bandwagon to choose the Sixers as my favorite East basketball team?

Any leisure activity, let alone something like choosing a sports team to cheer for, should be 100% based on how it will make you feel and not what other people think about it.To share my experience, I was born in Michigan and grew up from a very young age in Pittsburgh. Many of my friends and neighbors have pointed out the obvious allegiance to the Steelers that would normally be expected of me; however, as the son of two New Englanders, I was raised with a definite soft spot for the Boston sports tradition. Further complicating matters, I (being a bit of a stereotypical homeschooled nerd) had essentially no interest in sports until entering high school. The first year I regularly watched football games with my dad was 2007, which coincidentally was the year the Patriots enjoyed their record-setting 16–0 regular season. The following year, as my interest in sports grew despite the Super Bowl heartbreak, I became more interested in watching basketball; as fate would have it, the Celtics suddenly became relevant almost overnight with the trades for Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett, going from arguably the worst team to the NBA to NBA champions in my first season as a committed fan.As far as bandwagoning goes, I’ll be the first to admit that my own circumstances look suspicious. I would maintain that this was part of the natural development of a social late bloomer, with the teams’ concurrent success largely nothing more than a happy coincidence. Regardless, how I started is no longer important; a decade later I’ve seen the Celtics return to the bottom of the league (and begin another hopeful rise to the top); I’ve been fortunate to be a fan during a time when the Patriots have remained consistently great, but I’ve also endured my share of disappointments at the hands of the Giants, Broncos, Roger Goodell, and Bernard Pollard. You can read my Quora answers and decide whether my love of the sport and my passion for my chosen teams is genuine. And if you do so and still want to call me a bandwagon fan, I literally could not care less. All that to say - you should be a Sixers fan if that’s what you want. And if someone wants to judge you for being a “bandwagoner” - well, there’s one more arrogant snob who is fishing for reasons to be condescending. You don’t need to waste your time caring about such people’s opinions.

Will the knicks ever lose again?

Well they sure aren't going undefeated the rest of the season, they will lose games, but they are going to be one of the top teams, especially if they get Melo, which they most likely will.

Who will make/miss the 2018 NBA playoffs out of the 76ers, the Heat and the Pistons?

Make: 76ers & HeatMiss: PistonsPhilly have a really good all-around team and they know that if they make the Playoffs, they have the potential to cause an upset. Embiid is one of the best big men in the NBA while Ben Simmons will win ROY. Furthermore, they are surrounded by perfect role players in Redick, Covington, Saric, Holmes, Johnson, Bayless and Belinelli. Let’s not forget that next season they should have a fully recovered Markelle Fultz. Therefore, “Trust the Process”.The Miami Heat play hard and have a balanced team that knows how to play defense. Furthermore, they play with a “next man up” chip on their shoulders every time they step on the court. With D-Wade back in the South Beach and young talents Bam Adebayo, Josh Richardson & Tyler Johnson emerging, Waiters’ absence won’t be felt as much. Therefore, I believe the Miami Heat will squeeze into the Playoffs.Although the Pistons have an intimidating combo of Drummond and Griffin, I just think their role players aren’t supportive enough to provide SVG’s team with enough wins to grab a Playoff place this season. Plus, Miami are now 3 games ahead of Detroit making it even more unlikely for the Pistons to get to the postseason.

2013 heat vs 2001 lakers playoffs?

Even though I'm a HEAT Fan, whoever says HEAT is a total dumb***.
The Big 3 today wouldn't be no match for the 2001 Lakers.
Shaq had size while Kobe had speed.

What was the longest game winning shot in NBA history?

Probably Devin Harris's game-winner from almost 60 feet.

Jeremy Lin or Derrick Rose?

Hey guys, I literally know nothing about basketball. But I've watched a little. So my Asian friend and I were talking and he said Jeremy Lin is better than Derrick Rose, but I think a lot of that is just sucking up to his own race. I think D-Rose is way better, but I don't really have the basketball knowledge make that statement. Who do you guys think is better?

What does "trap game" mean in the NBA?

A trap games is like, let's say the Suns. They are 20 of their last 25 games. They then go to Minnesota, to play the T-Wolves. They then lose to them. Hopefully, that does not happened tomorrow. So a trap game is when a good team that is underestimating a very crappy team and lose to them.
