Social Experiment Consent

Ethical violations in the Stanford Prison Experiment?

One violation is that the consent form lacked a full description of the events that could take place, and this shows that Zimbardo didn’t take the full time to review all the events that could occur, or that he thought might occur and didn’t carefully plan to avoid them. Another violation was that the prisoner’s agreed to a consent form that confirmed they wouldn’t be physically harmed, but later in the experiment the guards started to hit the prisoners, and physically abuse them. This supports how the prisoner’s were lied to and how their consent form was broken, and that should have ended the experiment. Similarly, the guards were untrained and abused the power given to them, and weren’t stopped for breaking one of the only rules given to them (no hitting the prisoners). This supports how the debriefing was horribly presented and executed, and how the guards were unprepared for their “prison duties.”

Is it illegal for non-consenting adolescence to "experiment" with sex with kids their age?

Is it illegal for non-consenting adolescence to "experiment" with sex with kids their age? Do you mean for adolescents to force other adolescents to experiment? That is rape and / or assault.Do you mean for adolescents who cannot legally consent to sex who none the less agree to experiment sexually with other adolescents ? That varies from place to place.

Is it legal for someone to conduct a social experiment on people and publish results without them knowing anything about it?

Yes. Facebook does this quite a lot. It would not, however, get past any university ethics board - and its research has caused controversy.

What made the Milgram Experiment unethical?

Psychological experiments are supposed to do no harm and this experiment, by today's standards, was psychologically scarring for the subjects. There were also issues of informed consent, in that the subjects did not know they were going to be "administering" shocks. They thought they were participating in an experiment of learning and memory.
I'm also not sure if he did a debriefing, which is standard in modern psychology experiments utilizing deception.

Is it legal to use someone else’s W-9 with their consent?

Your question is unclear. Form W-9 is used to provide your name, address and tax ID to your client. “Someone else's W-9” would be meaingless in this context. If you are asking if you could provide someone else's information on a W-9 that you are submitting to your client, that would be tax fraud and would obviously be illegal. If they were stupid enough to “allow” you to provide their information, they would also be committing tax fraud and conspiracy to commit tax fraud.

I'm using another person's internet without his consent in India, is it illegal? If it is, what charges would I be facing?

Yes, it is illegal. You are stealing his  data connection. For which he is legitimately paying and has the exclusive right to use.You are committing theft.

What proof of sexual consent could someone use that cannot be easily faked or forced?

Probably video. If you could video-tape an encounter there would be independent evidence about what happened. Even if someone later changed their mind it would not matter because what is relevant is what did the participant reasonably believe. So imagine that two college age kids hook up. They’ve both had a bit to drink. The next morning their memories are fuzzy and the woman thinks, “I would never have had sex with that guy. He must have raped me.” A video can demonstrate whether her words and conduct at the time would show that she consented or appeared to consent to what was occurring.Of course, someone could argue that the guy gave her a date-rape drug, but the documented use of such drugs is rather rare and conduct after ingestion is markedly different than if someone just drinks a bit too much. So even video could potentially be attacked. Nonetheless, a video recording would be good evidence for what happened and how each participant reacted to what happened as it happened.

Is it ethical to experiment on people? broad question!?

As long as the participants are aware of it and have all the information needed. Also the participants' should remain anonymous in the study and their privacy should be a high priority. Under those circumstances I'd say the experiment would be ethical.

In Pennsylvania, is it illegal to film someone without their consent, but they're attacking you?

Obviously you can film people without consent. Or else security cameras would be illegal.Making photos or video is protected by the First Amendment. The only restrictions are filming people where they have a “legal expectation of privacy”, like a dressing room and making child pornography. Additionally, trespassing laws allow property owners set rules of conduct, one of which might be “no photography”. Break that rule and they can kick you out.So yes, you can film someone attacking you.
