Socioeconomic Status Of Jews Post Wwi/pre Wwii

Did the Jewish people declare war on Germany before WWII?

I guess you are referring to JUDEA DECLARES WAR ON GERMANY, the headline of Daily Express, March 24, 1933.To understand what happened just read Anti-Nazi boycott of 1933 - WikipediaJewish organisation in the US demanded a boycott of German goods. They accused the Nazi party to harass and bully Germans Jews (Hitler took power just 2 month ago).So WAR in this case meant economical war/boycott.

Describe Germany's economic and social position after their defeat in WW1?

Economic:
Due to the Treaty of Versailles (which they were forced to sign) they had to pay up to 6.6 million reparation money... they don't have this money. They had spent it all on the war. There was high inflation, meaning their money was worthless.

Social:
People began to turn more "Radical". They blamed the old government for signing the Treaty of Versailles, and supported more extreme leaders in order to gain back some Nationalistic pride and etc.

interesting little story:
A german guy took a wheelbarrow full of coins to go buy food. He left the barrow outside.
When he went back out, someone had stolen the wheelbarrow and left the money... thats how little money was worth!

Economic Conditions after WWI that countries faced?

Economic conditions that countries faced after WW1 were the loss of jobs. due to the loss of jobs people were not getting money to buy things so then retailers were loosing business meaning people weren't paying as many taxes, so the government wasn't getting as much money meaning the government couldn't give much money back to the public to help buy food, clothing ect. so basically money stopped flowing around the economy putting the economy at a stop and until people saved up what little money they could to spend. then only after money started flowing again did the economy pick up again and start to leave the depression.

Socioeconomic Status of Jews Post WWI/Pre WWII?

Hello,

I'm writing a paper and I've heard that the Jews in Germany post WWI were very financially stable, as most of the doctors and whatnot were Jewish. Is this true and are there any scholarly articles that confirm this?

Thanks.

5.What were the direct and long-term consequences for Germany of loosing World War I? Consider the political?

ah be careful here. serious historians do NOT support the pretext that the treaty of versailles and the reperations applied to germany thereby led to hitlers rise nd teh start of teh second world war.
some issues to consider tho are the general economic state of the world at the time, and the possible reprecussions the financial elements had on germanys economy. germany suffered probably more then any natio9n in the world during the early 20s
also consider the political state fo germany and its crushing defeat, and thehumilation of and loss of faith in the kaiser, who had assured victory, and considering germanys infrastructure was vastly confounding to the people
also consider teh rise of communism, particularly in russia and the october revolution therein, also note that generally slavs-russians, and saxons-germanys, had bene bitter enemies for centuries.
the early 20th cnetury and the late 19th had been periods of staunch nationalism, and all of its inherent percularities applied in thsi instance. racism and intolearnce had been festering in many regions of the world for some time, read Lebons Crowd Psychology to get an understanding of the european psyche towards 'aliens"
and in enters Hitler, the mesmerizer, who promised a better tomorrow, to those who wer destitute, those who no longer believed after the kaisers lies, those who wer starving and those who longed for a germany like that of bismarck

Why was Hitler so popular with the German people before WWII?

Why did people follow him? What factors contributed to his rise as a world leader? Why were the Germans so willing to follow him? How can we prevent a psychopath like him from ever gaining power again?
