Sol English 8th Failed

What happens if you fail 8th grade sol test?

Ok so I've been wondering if you fail the sol in 8th grade do you get held back or something because my grades right now are
Science- B-
Algebra 1- F
English- B
Civics - A-
And I'm in all honors class and I'm just worrying that I mite fail in the sol test because I suck at science and algebra

What happens if you fail an SOL in Virginia?

Sols are basically just to see what your teacher has taught you and wether or not they're a good teacher. For instance, at my high school, everyone in the math department probably got their degrees from eBay or drew them theirselves, because a lot of students failed the sol. Only 4 out of 27 in my class passed. But you can fail the sol and pass the class or pass the sol and fail the class. So they cannot make you retake the course, no matter how much they try and say you need to. If it's a 400 to pass, if you get like a 370 or something close (I don't know the exact number) you go to remediation and take it that year, but if it's lower you go to summer school (if they have it) or do remediations the following year and take it then. But I've heard from a few people and my cousin (who is also a teacher) you legally do not have to retake it as long as you haven't failed 7 or 8 yet. I'm not positive on that, but if you don't want to take it, don't. They can't physically make you, legally they might, but that might involve lawyers.

I passed in the additional subject but failed in one of the main subjects. I had six subjects so I am declared passed. Can I still appear for the compartment exam to improve my marks in the main subject?

Depends on you.If you are pass in 5 subjects and failed in one of your main subject, then you are declared successful. No doubt there. If you want, then you can give compartment exam during the same year. Contact your principal and apply for reappearing in respective exam as soon as possible. Also, if you don’t want to clear and if you are satisfied with your result, then don’t appear for re-exam.Now, the question comes whether you should or you shouldn’t. It totally depends on what future you are planning for yourself. If that subject is required their, they do give re-exam. And if your plans don’t require that subject, then leave it.Hope it helps. All the best!!!!PS: Mostly, main subjects are required for getting admission in graduate degree courses (in most of the cases).

I'm 1/8 Spanish, why don't I look very Spanish?

There's no such thing as "looking Spanish," especially since Spain has been a long historic crossroads for many different ethnic groups AND you have other genes floating in your pool. Genetic appearance is a crap shoot.

More to the point, someone needs to review the Y!A Community Guidelines, specifically trolling and posting the same question repeatedly.
