Was George Washington an Esquire?

It was, and is, a suffix to  an individual's title, Mr. Jed Herman, esq., usually used by lawyers due to the status it conveys. It means that the person whose signature is under discussion is a landowner. And this was certainly true of GW, especially after he married Martha Custiss and became one of the largest landowners in the commonwealth of Virginia. Oops! Edit:  Esquire George Washington I believe still would have been appropriately referred to as an esquire despite the fact that he wasn't a barrister or solicitor. He was English colonial landed gentry. It's much more complex a word than I imagined and the meaning changes according to historical date and location of use.

How should America deal with Iran and their LGBT laws (as in their death penalties)?

America should mind their own business and look in the mirror instead.America’s biggest disservice to human rights is that it has co-opted it as a political pressure tool. It applies human rights standards inconsistently based on whether the offender is America’s friend or not. There is zero ethical substance to it.I suppose you had something like sanctions in mind? Who will sign it? Ted Cruz? champion of gay rights? Does america sanction Saudi Arabia (or Qatar) for actually punishing gays (because Iran, despite its laws, doesn't*)? Does America sanction Israel for blatant settlement expansion? Does America give a damn about the thousands that Saudi bombed and killed in Yemen in the past two years? Does it sanction itself for having the maximum proportion of its population in prison? Does it prosecute war criminals responsible to millions of innocent deaths and many torture cases? Didn't think so.Of all the things that America can champion, human rights isn't one of them. It has simply lost credibility by turning it into political currency, and of course, being very sloppy in respecting it at home.*I'm not claiming that the situation in Iran is good. It’s terrible by western standards. But gays are not executed, period. Very few cases, if any, exist where someone went to jail for being gay. There is a fairly active and open gay community in Tehran, nobody cares.

Can a judge be defined as a lawyer or barrister and what is the difference between a lawyer and barrister?

Let’s start with the lawyers first. The term “lawyer” is the generic term (and description) of anyone who is licensed by the authorities to practise law. Some countries have a ‘split’ legal profession and some a ‘fused’ one.In a ‘split’ legal professionIn countries that have a ‘split’ legal profession (and the UK is the prime example), the lawyers are divided into two types — solicitors are non-trial lawyers who carry out legal advice and legal representation for clients, and barristers are trial (courtroom) lawyers who advocate the client’s case in court proceedings. Most usually, the solicitor is the first lawyer seen by the client. The barrister is retained by the solicitor (not by the client) if the matter goes to litigation or if it requires specialist legal opinion (often ahead of going to litigation). This is a matter of specialisation and division of labour — there are many historical and operational reasons for this, and too complex to get into here.In a ‘fused’ legal professionIn countries that have a ‘fused’ legal profession (and most countries are like that), the lawyers are NOT divided into different types — all lawyers operate in both trial and non-trial roles. Depending on the country, the lawyer may simply be called a ‘lawyer’ — or an ‘advocate’ or an ‘attorney.’ In other words, the client sees this attorney or advocate, and if the matter goes to court, very often the same attorney or advocate gets to argue the client’s case in court. The judgeThe judge anywhere in the world is a lawyer by background. Depending on the country, he or she is most usually a barrister (if in a country with a split legal profession) — and just an attorney (if in one with a fused legal profession). Most usually too, the judge will have had some kind of specialist judicial training for the job. Judges in some countries are elected positions, but most are appointed positions in most countries.

What is the difference between a firm, company, an establishment, and an organization in India? I want to open a travel planning startup, but I don’t know what to register it as.

With reference to Indian Prospective, the difference lies in the fact that though a company and firm are generally considered the same thing, but a firm is generally referred to a business entity which is registered under The Partnership Act, 1932 or Limited Liability Partnership Act,1932 as a partnership or limited liability partnership firm. So firms is basically used for partnerships.A company is any form of business whether it is small or large.Generally the term "company" indicates a particular kind of business dealing in a specific product. An organisation is the larger form and generally comprises of anumber of companies. Simply, a company is an organization, but an organization is not just a company. So basically, an organisation is inclusive of a company but a company is not inclusive of an organisation. An establishment is an economic unit that produces goods or services, usually at a single physical location, and engaged in one or predominantly one activity. So, basically it talks about the physical locale or location of a particular firm, company or organisation.Hence, often we use the words "firm" or "company" to refer to a business and its activities. However, the meaning of "establishment," as defined for tax and statistical purposes, highlights the importance of the physical location of an organization. For any Legal and Accounting support, Happy to help you, let us talkPS: Wazzeer Loves entrepreneurs #GoGetItIn case, you are thinking of getting some free advise from an experienced Lawyer (and Accountant), checkout Counselapplication of Wazzeer.#WazzeerKACounsel**For any Legal and Accounting support, Happy to help you, let us talkPS: Wazzeer Loves entrepreneurs #GoGetIt

Would you like to go on a date with someone you meet on the Internet?

In this ever digitized world we live in, it is bound to happen that people find each other online. It has its pluses like keeping in touch with friends and family over seas and/or who live on the other side of the world. As for “dating” well.. I am out of the dating scene and I do not date. It is not like I am alone. I have heaps of friends ( true friends ) Do what I want and buy what i want.So Andreas is your house a lonely place? Not at all. I have 3 now nearly grown groenendael dogs running around ( this is a picture from the litter. My three dogs are the three in the middle). How can you say no to these cute faces ;) Although one of them is a master door opener and midnight ninja food muncher. hahaPlus I have a cat that belonged to my late GF who was my soulmate. The cat is very laid back and is often so lazy she jumps on the dogs back so she doesn’t have to walk. The dogs don’t mind her at all.The only thing when I get a rise out of the cat is when women come over that have not so nice intentions. I was dating a girl ( a couple years after my soulmate and our unborn child passed away) the cat took one look at her and attacked her in the face. I drove her to the ER and that was that. Later I heard she was looking for rich guys/guys with excellent jobs so she could get pregnant and put the guys in baby jail asking for heaps of money, which she did to some older sap who who was a CEO at a Mercedes and BMW car dealership. Of course that money doesn’t go to the kid; it goes to the woman who duped the dude ( that, my dear friends, is why you should triple bag your man junk when having intercourse. The likelyhood that one condom breaks is highly likely but three..)Of course not all women are like this. Still I am very content being single. I can do what I want, buy what I want and if, down the road i am getting lonely ( lol like that ever is going to happen) I can open up a B&B in the south of France and run that for the rest of my life. Kind of what my parents did with a dilapidated castle i bought years ago ( I like to repair and rebuild old buildings so that was quite a challenge) for around 250 000 Euros ( over 200 Acres).Anyway that is how I see it. I am not against it but i rather be “unplugged” as much as possible.
