Solve This Physics Numerical

Numerical solving in Physics..?

I read and studied Kinematics ; in both one , two and three dimension ; properly and understood all that was written and explained in two standard and international college books. ... and then solved around 100+ basic problems ...from free-fall to relative velocity to Projectile and all that...............and even saw many online lectures and paid complete attention during class , I now knew all that was included in Kinematics .... but then someone recommended me a certain book full of physics problems ( no theory ) ..and I started to solve and couldn't ....they were EXTREMELY tough ...couldn't even solve the first one...saw the solution : no new concept was applied there but the way the author had come upon the conclusion was totally ingenious.....and this was the same for all other numericals....i re- read all the subject matter to try to solve the tough questions , but all in vain..the methods are so strange ...... i solved more of the not-so-tough questions (around 200 ) but didn't help with the tough numericals ....i want to become able to solve these type of questions....and quickly : I do not want to wait for a year or so.....so , how can I improve my problem solving skills ???? i need them immediately

Thankyou

Can't solve this Physics numerical?

A particle is moving eastwards with a velocity 5m/s. In 10 sec the velocity changes to 5m/s northwards. Find the average acceleration during this time?

A force that is perpendicular to the direction that a object is moving will cause the object to move around a curve.

For the direction of the velocity to change, a component of the applied force must be perpendicular to the original direction of the velocity. If the magnitude of the velocity is constant as it moves around the curve, the curve is an arc of a circle.

Therefore, the force is centripetal force, and the acceleration is centripetal acceleration. Centripetal acceleration = v^2/r.

Determine the radius of the circle and you can determine the acceleration!

Since the direction changed from eastward to northward, the change of direction = 90˚, which ¼ of a circle.
So, the particle moved ¼ of the circumference of the circle at 5 m/s for 10 seconds.
The distance that the particle moved = 5 m/s * 10 s = 50m
50 m = ¼ of the circumference of the circle

Circumference = 200 m
2 * π * r = 200
r = 100/π ≈ 31.83 meter
Centripetal acceleration = 5^2 ÷ (100/π)

Magnitude of average acceleration = 0.785 m/s^2
The direction of the average acceleration is toward the center of the arc, because the centripetal force is causing the acceleration.

I hope this helps!

What should I do when I can't solve physics numerical when I am practicing it at home?

Numericals in physics can be done only when your basics and your ability to use your basics as and when required has been achieved.The problem with many of the students is that they read the chapter and go to the excercise numericals. When they do so, they have yet not got the way to solve numericals. They have just got the theory and not how that should be applied in the numericals.Keep one thing in mind. If you are not able to solve numericals your theory is not clear yet. Go to theory once again. Get your basics clear. And then have a look at the examples. Solve it from there with pen and paper. You might think that would be a wastage of time by doing the same thing having seen the solution. But even if you have seen the solution, keep your book aside, noting the data in your notebook and do the same thing. 8/10 times you'll not be able to do so ( initially). When that becomes like 10/10, you can go to your excercise numericals.This trick helped me and my students as well.Hope it helps you too.Keep studying. Keep buildingAll the best :)

Help me in a Physics numerical.?

Take east as +ve x axis and north as +ve y axis.
Let i, j be unit vectors along +ve x and +ve y axes respectively.

AB = 800 km i---------------------------------(1)
BC is at 40 deg east of north. This means it makes 40 deg with north and 90 deg - 40 deg = 50 deg with east. In other words 50 deg with +ve x and 40 deg with +ve y.
Therefore
BC = 500km(cos 50 deg i + cos 40 deg j)
Or BC = 500 km(0.643 i + 0.766 j)
Or BC = 321.5 km i + 383 km j--------------(2)
Adding (1) and (2),
AB + BC = 800 km i + 321.5 km i + 383 km j
Or AC = 1121.5 km i + 383 km j
Magnitude of AC = sqrt(1121.5^2 + 383^2) = 1185 km
x component of AC = 1121.5 km, which is +ve.
y component = 383 km, which is also positive.
Therefore direction of AC is
atan(383/1121.5) = 19 deg from +ve x to +ve y
or 19 deg from east to north
or 19 deg north of east.

Ans: 1185 km at 19 deg north of east.
You can also write 71 deg east of north because 71+19 = 90.

Physics numerical problems to solved.?

The topic for the discussion is “You are standing on the shore of Lake Manchar which is the largest freshwater lake in Pakistan and one of Asia's largest. It is located west of the Indus River, in Dadu District. You spot a tasty fish swimming some distance below the lake surface.

(a) If you want to spear the fish, should you aim the spear (I) above (II) Below or (III) Directly at the apparent position of the fish?
(b) If instead you use a high-power LASER to simultaneously kill and cook the fish, should you aim the LASER (I) Above (II) Below, or (III) Directly at the apparent position of the fish?”
Elaborate your answer by giving a solid reason.

How can I solve physics numericals easily?

SOLVE NUMERICAL PROBLEMS EASILY !!I am sure you was looking for an answer to give you a straight to point method to enhance your problem solving ability . In Physics every person has a different methodology to solve a specific problem if you are a true beginner then I will suggest you to alongwith your school physics text books which you might be using for solving problems use books which are designed for competitive exams which are directly related to Numerical problems.NOTHING CAN GAIN WITHOUT PRACTISE So just practise cause that's the only way you will find any work easier than before :)Concepts of Physics by HC VermaThis Book is actually designed for beginner students in Physics with each successive problem with higher IQ and lateral thinking needed to solve physics problems.however problems given in this book are quite straight to topics and if you revise this book 2–3 times you will find your problem solving time is changed and it will start looking easier to youProblems in Physics by IE IrodovThis book is actually a little bit harder and problems given in this book are time consuming if you are able to solve the whole book 2 or 3 times I am sure you will solve another high school level physics problem in a lesser time and will find it very easier to solve problemsSurely You're Joking Mr.Feynman by Richard FeynmanIf You are bored of solving problems and doing maths then this book will act like a light bulb in the darkness.this book is the adventurous journey of a famous physicist who solves daily life problems in such a easy way. No matter how Difficult the problem looks the author will try to solve it in a easy and meaningful mannerI Think This will surely help you in your problems in solving physics.BEST OF LUCK FOR FUTURE ;)

Please Help me solve this Physics numerical i am fed up of this numerical?

How do I solve numericals in chemistry and physics?

FOR PHYSICS: clearly go through the topics not for the sake of completing but for better understanding as theory backs you up in solving numericals. TIP:dont go for tougher numericals from hc verma,etc.first solve basic books like SL ARORA AND DINESH . try to solve examples by yourself and in case you lack somewhere revisit theory part or else see the solution and try to analyse where one lacks.FOR CHEMISTRY: AGAIN go through theory thoroughly and try to understand well instead of rote learning. and if you face any trouble kindly ask your teacher without hesitation.DO UPVOTE IF YOU FOUND TO BE USEFULTHANKYOU
