Some Girls Series 2 Ep 6

Why are some episodes missing from TV series on Hulu? For example, The Brady Bunch Season 1 skips from episode 4 to 7. What happened to episodes 5 & 6?

Without *knowing* the answer with respect to these two specific episodes, I can think of two obvious reasons for missing episodes. They are . . .Unbearably Dated Approaches to Subject Matter — Many of the “very special episodes” of comedy shows that attempt to deal with serious matters are absolutely unwatchable now. Funny Or Die just went to town on an episode of Diff’rent Strokes that featured Arnold’s encounter with a child predator. It’s here if you want to laugh uncomfortably and/or be creeped out . . . yeah, probably both). But this is early in the run of Brady Bunch episodes for that to happen, and the series also predates the “very special episode” phenomenon except for trips to Hawaii, so let’s consider . . .Unaffordable Music Rights — These have proven to be a nightmare. Many shows licensed music rights for an initial run, and maybe syndication, but not for anything unanticipated, like streaming services or DVD release. These issues have resulted in terrible half-assed edits to shows with significant musical content, like WKRP in Cincinnati and The Wonder Years. All of this is speculative on my part, and nothing in the readily available online episode guides suggests either of these, so it’s a Hulu Mystery, and a look forward to further answers.

True Detective (TV series): How should Marty's interaction with the two men who had sex with his daughter at the beginning of episode 6 inform our view of him?

In a show about two horribly corrupt detectives investigating a serial rapist and murderer, this scene bothered me more than anything else in this show.Marty says: "A man's game charges a man's price. You take that away from us you have nothing else."Then he beats the crap out of the kids who had consensual sex with his daughter. So what was he beating them up for? Was he beating them up because it was helping his daughter? No. There's only one way to help his daughter, and that would involve her, not them. Is he teaching them a lesson? Maybe he thinks so.What's really happening here is that he's making himself feel better. His language hints that he feels something has been taken from him, and he's there to take it back. In Marty's mind, his daughter's sexual identity is his to control, and he's upset that it was taken without his permission. But what's unsaid is that Marty is familiar with this game and used to be a player himself. Marty hints at this throughout the show. As Rust says, he has "swagger". So Marty is incensed at them for treating his daughter exactly like he's treated every woman he's ever been with. He's beating them up because he hates himself. And then he goes into the parking lot and throws up.This is pretty horrible. If Marty cared anything about his daughter, he could have approached these men individually and found out more about how their liaison came to be. He could have gleaned some insight about how to help her get back to where she feels comfortable in her own skin. But Marty doesn't really care. That's not what he's there for. He's just there to collect payment.

In season 7 episode 6, why did Sansa send Brienne away?

Expanding on Rohit Verma’s correct answer: Sansa is playing Littlefinger.Let’s review how Sansa acted towards Littlefinger. Panicked she asked who gave Arya the scroll. Careful, she listened to Littlefinger who argued Brienne is bound by honour to intervene if one of the Stark girls is going to harm the other. She agreed with him.Now let’s review how Sansa acted when Brienne argued Littlefinger may have whispered in Sansa’s guards ears. She got annoyed and send Brienne on her way. Because she’s already damn sure Littlefinger is conspiring behind her back. She got it covered. Here’s what Sansa has done this season:She argued with both Littlefinger and Jon that she knew more about what they were talking about than they didShe argued with Bran Littlefinger wouldn’t give the dagger without a reason. She argued she knew exactly what Littlefinger wantedShe has Arya on her back about betraying her family and possibly Jon.She saw Arya and Brienne fight and Arya winSansa Stark is, like Verma says, not the “stupid little girl” she always thought she was. She has learned from Littlefinger and is now, finally, playing his game. Instead of using Brienne to intervene if Arya wants to harm her, she is doing the EXACT opposite. She’s sending Brienne far away so she can’t intervene.Sansa proclaims to Littlefinger she “doesn’t know” Arya “anymore”. The opposite is true. She knows Arya better than anyone. She knows her anger and she also knows deep down, Arya is right about her suspicions of Sansa’s loyalty. Sansa doesn’t want to be disloyal to Jon and thus she knows Arya is not a threat. But even more: even if Arya would try to harm her, Brienne couldn’t stop Arya. She already won from her in the training!Sansa knows Arya. Sansa knows Littlefinger gave Arya the scroll. Sansa is playing them both. By sending Brienne she de-escalated the situation with Arya AND she threw away Littlefingers plan to create a division between the Stark girls.Arya argued fear makes people do unfortunate things just as much as anger. Arya is still angry at Sansa. But Sansa Stark, for the first time in the series, is not afraid.
