Some Help On My Alg2 Hw System Of Inequalites

Help with algebra 2 (solving inequalities)?

For the first one:

2x-7 > 8(x-3) <----distribute

2x - 7 > 8x - 24
-add 24 to both sides-

2x + 17 > 8x
-subtract 2x from both sides-

17 > 6x
-divide both sides by 6-

17/6 > x

--------------The next one :)---------------

x^2 + 9x >or= to -18
-add 18 to both sides to make equation equal zero-

x^2 + 9x + 18 >= 0
-factor-

(x+3)(x+6) >=0
things that solve this is -3 and -6, so

-3 >= x
-6 >=x

I hope it helps :)

(Don't forget - when you divide or multiply by a negative, you need to switch > into < and vice versa.)

Finding Vertices - Solving Systems of Inequalities (Alg2) ?

These three questions are all related to straight line graphs.
Change the inequality sign to equals, and draw that graph.
The decide which side of the line meets the requirement of the inequality, and whether or not the line itself is included.

y = - 4 is a horizontal straight line.
Above the line y > - 4. Below the line y < - 4. On the line y = - 4.
Your required graph is therefore the area above or on the line.

y = 2x + 2 is a straight line of gradient 2 through (0, 2).
y <= 2x + 2 is the area below or on the line.

2x + y <= 6
y <= 6 - 2x
The graph is a the area below or on the straight line through (0, 6) with gradient - 2.

The overlapping part of these inequalities is the triangular area which the three straight lines enclose.

You find the vertices by solving each of the three pairs of two simultaneous equations.

y = - 4 and y = 2x + 2 intersect at (- 3, - 4).
y = - 4 and y = 6 - 2x intersect at (5, - 4).
y = 2x + 2 and y = 6 - 2x intersect at (1, 4).
Those three points are the vertices.

Algebra 2 Solving Inequalities?

1st problem:

1) 5x-9 > 15-3x
+3x +3x
______________

2) 8x-9>15
+9 +9
______________

3) 8x>24 (divide each side by 8)

4) x>3

I forgot how to do 2nd problem but it is going to involve the less than/equal to or more than/equal to sign and going to be something like this maybe: | x+70| <(line under this) 90

I'm not sure if the 1/5 and 4/5 are significant in the problem

Inequality algebra 2 homework, help?

i will try. I did those products 2 years in the past... so submit to with me. Inequalities. resolve like equalities. remember nonetheless, in case you divide by way of a unfavourable selection, the sign flips. 3a - 15 > 6 3a > 21 a > 7 stable job! Slope-intercept type is y = mx + b the place m is the slope and b is the intercept. Your answer isn't finished. Plug interior the x and y coordinates given and the slope and resolve for b. 6 = (-2)(-4) + b 6 = 8 + b -2 = b Now, use the x and y variables and placed the slope for m and placed -2 for b. y = -2x - 2 it rather is your very final answer. Substitution potential to plug in one element for yet another and resolve. 2x - 3y = -19 2(4) - 3y = -19 8 - 3y = -19 -3y = -27 y = 9 removing is somewhat trickier. It potential to style of subtract the entire equations to get all of it the way down to a minimum of one variable. -4x + y = -12 -4x + 2y = 6 Multiply the 2nd equation by way of -a million so as which you will cancel the x's. -4x + y = -12 4x - 2y = -6 ----------------- -y = -18 y = 18 Plug that into between the equations. -4x + 18 = -12 -4x = -30 x = 30/4 or 15/2 Is that the entire polynomial. that's not a monomial because of fact mono potential one. 18x^2 - 4y^2 - 7x^2 - 6y^2 combine like words. 11x^2 - 10y^2 this is it. i do no longer understand a thank you you acquire 25 except component to the question have been given decrease off. you would be able to desire to place areas or yahoo will shorten it.

Help with Alg2 homework solving equations?

I need help with problems and I need someone to fully solve the problem out because my teacher wants the problem done and the answer.. I'm not good at this. I want to learn but I'll learn by looking at this and I'm really frustrated so please just help me. I'm going through alot right now. It's my Senior year.

First problem : 3(x+1)-x=2(x+3)

Second problem : 5(2t-1)-3t=5-7t

Third problem : 2(x-1) + 3(x+1) =x - 3

Fourth Problem : 6(3-z) + 2 (4z-5) =z - (3-z)

Fifth Problem : 4(3x-1) - 5(3x-2) =2(x+3) -5x

Sixth Problem : x(x-2) - 15 = x(x+5) -3(x+5)

Seventh Problem : 6x - [2- (x - 1)] = x - 5(x+1)

Eighth Problem : 5x -2[ x-3(7-x)] =3 -2(x-8)

If you could distribute them all and give me the answer please or e-mail me please i really need help.

Solutions to systems algebra 2 help!?

x + y = -8
x = -8 - y
-------------------------

-3x + 2y = 9 you substitute -8 - y for x
-3(-8 - y) + 2y = 9
distribute and get
24 + 3y + 2y = 9
add 3y and 2y and get
5y + 24 = 9
subtract 24
5y = -15
divide by 5
y = -3
now that you have "y" you can substitute
x = -8 - y
x = -8 - (-3)
x = -8 + 3
x = -5
your final answer isssss.....x = -5, y = -3; pthe coordinate point is (-5, -3)

You basically used equations everyday without even notice. Like when you have to calculate “How many dollars does the sum of your grocery stuffs equal to?”. Or a more complicated situation, if you need to be in the meeting at 9:30am, the travel distance is 10km and you can only leave after 8:30am, your driving speed should equal “x” km/h.”Inequalities are used for comparison. “He is taller than me.” or “The iPhone with larger memory capacity is more expensive.”. A more complicated example is also with calculating your driving speed. “Now if there is expected traffic jam for 2km. You get out of the traffic jam at 9:00am, you have to drive faster than “x” km/h to compensate for your loss time.”Just some simple examples. There are a lots more out there, just look around.

Please Help Me With My Algebra Homework (Substituion, Elimination, Graphing)?

1) No

2) Yes

3) x = 1 and y = 4 [mental computation]

///////////////////

4) 3x + 5(-2x + 1) = -23

3x - 10x + 5 = -23

-7x = -28

x = 4 and so y = 7

//////

5) x = 1 and y = 1 [mental computation]

///////////

6, 7, and 8 are similar to number 4 i did above.

/////////////////////////

9)

a) x = new movies, y = regular movies

b) 3x + 2y = 13
x + y = 5

c) x = 3, y = 2 [mental computation].

Therefore 3 new movies rented for $9 and 2 regular movies rented for $2.

/////////////////////

10) graphing and shading cannot be done on keyboard

Good luck for your test. If I were to sit in such test, i'd be finished in record time. But unfortunately I cannot be there to help you on your test. I myself used to sit in such type of tests during the mid 1980's and my scores were often around the 85% mark. I was 9 or 10 years old that time. I was a B grade student in algebra that time.

In the 90's i evolved more and transformed into a higher level student. In 2000's i evolved even more and became an over achiever. By late 2000's i evolved into a professional. And now i have become long term unemployed

In today’s society, the word “inequality” has become synonymous with the continued march towards socialism. We are all equal in worth; however, we are not equal in ability. This is reality. We all deserve the equal freedom to try, but we will not have equal results. We are all different. We have varied skill sets which are of differing values to society as a whole. That is why a grill cook does not make as much as a surgeon. It is not that both are not needed. Both jobs should be done to the best of ones ability. Both jobs should be respected. But the skill set needed to accomplish the tasks are very different. The question as presented is aimed at accomplishing the goal of the questioner. It does not actual involve the deeper process of critical thinking. It implies an answer to a question born of preconceive bias. It leads you down the path of assuming the questioner is correct rather than have you truly think out an issue.
