Some One Answer - Mission Visa -uae

What do you do if you haven't heard the Schengen visa decision 15 days into its submission? My travel is scheduled for Monday and it's Friday already. Does the embassy consider departure dates while processing it?

My experience so far,..Applied thru VFS Bangalore to Netherlands embassy. They don't have express processingPrior to application I checked the duration with them and was assured that I must have a decision my 15 days Max unless there is a request for additional documentationI made sure all the papework was full, included the invite from City Hall too. I had prior experience applying for visit visa for Ireland and UK. So you can say I had a fair idea of what to furnish. Its been 15 days calendar days and now workdays too with not a peep from embassy. Any calls to VFS was utterly useless to say the least. I might as well be speaking to a robot. The least empathetic people.Tried calling the embassy directly. If you chose the option of visa processing, you are connected to their business centre. They are Dutch helpline. They listen to you patiently and tell you that everything is now outsourced to VFS. So you go that circle many times.I finally spoke to the operator/ receptionist at Delhi embassy who gave another email to contact the consulate. After 3 days, I received an email that it's peak time and our visas are still under process. This was 1 day before our scheduled travelRescheduled out tickets. I should have simply cancelled themToday we got this message when wrote an email to embassy.PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND YOUR CONTROL, THE PROCESSING TIME OF VISA APPLICATIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 21 DAYS. YOU ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO PLAN YOUR TRAVEL WELL AHEAD.What was supposed to be a fun visit has become a nightmare. My leaves are going down the drain and lost a bundle in it.No idea on when we will get our visas now

Can I enter Macau with a Hong Kong visa?

If you are already in Hong Kong with a valid visa (either obtained in advance, or obtained on arrival), you can apply for a Macau Visa at the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Commissioner’s Office in Hong Kong.Citizens of most countries and territories in the world are usually eligible for on-arrival visit/tourism visa for Macau. In case you are not from one of these countries or territories, you can apply for the visa at any Mission Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The Mission Office in Hong Kong is NOT an embassy because Hong Kong is part of China. It is instead called the ‘Office of the Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry of the PRC’. However, it offers all services usually available at Chinese embassies and consulates overseas. This is the address of the office: Contact UsI suggest you call them during office hours to check whether they can actually help. Please note that even though you are applying at the Chinese Mission, you can’t use the PRC visa form. You need to use an application form specifically applicable for Macau visas because Macau is a different immigration territory from the Mainland of China. You can obtain the application form as well as the list of necessary supporting documents here: http://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/eng/Af...While the checklist doesn’t mention it, do attach your HK visa to show that you are allowed to return to HK after visiting Macau, in addition to an onward air ticket from HK which you will use after returning from Macau.Best of luck!

K-1 visa sponsorship with low income?

The main concern by the consular officers when reviewing your financial situation is what your income will be going forward. Current income is essential, historical income not important.

They will ask to see your 2010 Federal Tax Return, 3 to 6 recent pay stubs, and a letter from your employer confirming you are a permanent employee and stating what your pay is.

Assuming your employer confirms your salary, and your year to date income, as shown on the pay stubs, demonstrates you are "on course" to earning over $18,300 per year, you will meet the financial eligibility requirement.

They look at past tax returns merely to check for "trends" and consistency. (And to assist IRS by forcing visa petitioners to actually file their taxes). Your explanation that last year you were on mission and thus had little or no taxable income is perfectly plausible and acceptable.

The main issue is for you to keep your current employment so that at the time of her interview you have solid proof you are financially eligible.

Best of luck

My approved nonimmigrant worker petition was returned to USCIS for further review. What do you mean by this?

When I applied for a new H1B visa (for a new employer), I was told by the US consul that my approved H1B application will be returned to USCIS for further review because I worked when I was still a visitor. I told the consul that I worked as a volunteer in a Mission School but I stopped when said school withdrew its 1-129 application because it can't afford to pay me as prescribed by the Department of Labor. Another school petitioned me and the petition was approved. I got my first H1B visa (3 years) which expired in June 30, 2005. A new employer (another school) petitioned me and said petition was approved for another three years (2005-2008). This was the one sent back to USCIS for further review. The returned approved petition was received by USCIS on December 21, 2005. When do you think will I get my reapproval? Thank you very much for your time.

Can someone in the US with a K-1 visa do volunteer work?

I know people with a fiance (K1) visa aren't allowed to work until they get married & get their permission for employment. But can they do volunteer work??

My fiance doesn't want to sit around and be a lazy bum when he comes here & has to wait for the status adjustment.

There is a nature conservancy group in our area that is always eager for volunteers to help clean up the river. My fiance's degree is related to water quality, so he thought it would be a way for him to keep busy as well as get some experience in the field.

It's totally volunteer.... so no one is getting paid. Is it something he would be allowed to do??

Can I attend visa interview in Japan for H1B?

No problem. Simply notify USCIS that you want your paperwork sent to the nearest US Mission - you may apply at the US Embassy in Tokyo or the US Consulates General in Osaka, Sapporo, or Nahain, Japan.
