Someone Make Up A Title For My Short Poem I Wrote

What is the shortest poem in the world when it comes to the total number of words and syllables?

I don't believe that Aram Saroyan's one-line poem 'Lighght' is the shortest since it is insane to even consider it a poem. If that would be a poem, then I can easily make up my own and misspel any word and, then, advertise it as a poem. Another of Aram Saroyan's work is simply "MM" which is not a poem. If that would be labeled as a poem, then every celebrity on Earth can make up their own words and tag them as poems. By the way, Aram Saroyan is a poet. But to say that such mentioned works of his are the shortest poems in the world, then poetry is not art anymore but a foolish human endeavor.

Another poem was claimed to be as the shortest one: "On The Antiquity Of Microbes". It has these lines:

Fleas?
Adam
Had 'em.

That's a short one, but the title is too long. Any more contender against that one?

The boxer Muhammad Ali once said:
Me
We

Me we? That's not a poem since it merely expressed a senseless sentence. It's senseless because it didn't have a title and was just saying something out of a usual meeting. Anyone can express 'Me We' at any point in time.

What’s the shortest poem?

The shortest poem in recorded history is one by none other than Aram Sharoyan, the poem featuring nothing more than a four-legged ‘M’.“Saroyan’s four-legged “m” has been cited in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s shortest poem. The meaning of it has been subject to discussion. Some have called it: “a closeup of an alphabet being born” – Bob Grumman. Its sells still in the process of dividing, ‘m’ and the ‘n’, not quit separated. It is also a pun on “I am”, implying the formation of consciousness itself.”( Worlds shortest poem - PeopleOfAr )

How do you format the title of a poem in an essay?

Put quotation marks around the poem's title unless it is a novel-length epic poem, such as "Paradise Lost" or "The Divine Comedy." In that case, italicize or underline the title. Cite the poem with a parenthetical citation if you are using MLA or APA format.

Poem help! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Title: Dockland so please help!?

-In the man is the boy, Who thundered on short legs, Snorting and sniffing, Down to Dockland.
-To banging, rattling land's edge. Peopled by men with muscles like great chains. Binding their arms, and voices like hammers; To splinters and sawdust and rotten fruit.
-Oozing brown; to brutal cobbles and broken crates. And slated, gaping windows, and brawls and shouting In the shipyards, howling saws and curling wood, And the black, stinking puddles of sea water Which rotted the iron anchors
-Among tall ships and screaming birds the seed was sown: As he sits, pinstriped, at his desk, eyes on the clock, His longing unfolds inside him like a huge sail. Mentally he runs up a wooden gangplank Onto a departing ship.

-What is the theme of the poem?

How do I write a poem for my best friend?

This is a poem I wrote for my friend who was there for me when I was emotionally broken. I just wrote what I felt like then.Didn't think much.  "JUST WHEN"Just when you decided to trust nobody,Somebody risked their trust blindly on you..Just when you felt you'll forever feel low,Somebody already had ways to see you laugh..Just when you lost faith in friendships,Somebody held your hands and walked in your shoes..Just when you thought, not to open up ever,Somebody gave you their deepest secrets, with all their heart..Just when you wanted to be selfish in your life,Somebody was moved by your tiniest acts of kindness..Just when you made barriers to your broken heart,Somebody cared to enter,to caress the wounds..Just when you wanted the world to be only a stranger,Somebody touched you  without even a real effort..Just when you had almost given up on Hope,Somebody lifted you up and is still.....Just when you fall short of words to express,Somebody has always something passionate to tell!... .. 'Thank you' may merely be two little words.....But still, Thank you."So, buddy , all you got to do is, pour your heart out. Make you friend realise what he/she means to you. If I am not late, wish your friend a happy birthday from my side too!

Can anyone explain the literary meaning of the poem "Invictus" by William Henley?

Invictus" was written by the English poet William Ernest Henley. The poem is a short Victorian, written in 1875 and published in 1888. The poem was originally untitled, but in 1900 Arthur Quiller-Couch included the poem along with the title "Invictus" in his book The Oxford Book of English Verse. In order to completely understand the meaning of this poem, it is important to know the life of William Ernest Henley. As a young boy, Henley developed tuberculosis of the bone. At the age of 25, the tuberculosis spread to his foot. Physicians decided that in order to safe Henley's life, they must amputate his leg below the knee. While in the hospital bed, Henley wrote the poem "Invictus."The poem "Invictus" is made up of sixteen lines and is divided into four stanzas. The rhyme scheme is abab-cdcd-efefef-ghgh. The writing is short and contains just eight syllables to each line. By linking the poem to the author's life, it can be easily analyzed."Out of the night that covers me," describes the troubles of his early life. He is covered "pole to pole" with something terrible. Luckily, his soul is unhindered."In the fell clutch of circumstance" continues the story. He has high spirits, regardless of what has happened. His body may have blood stains, but he is not ashamed. The third stanza states that even though he may not know what is to come, he is unafraid and ready for life. The last stanza states that even though his future may be established due to the disease, he will continue on and control his own fate and soul with whatever time he has.
