Something Low In Calories And Fat

What do calories from fat mean? Do they make you fat?

If I want to get stronger and keep fat from getting to high, do I quit eating foods like peanut butter? Do they make you fat, because it says like 180 calories and 130 from fat. Does that mean it will turn into fat when it gets in your body, and even if it does, to get strong do you need to eat it? Thanks a lot

Low calorie/low fat coffee?

Either drink black coffee or do the other things in moderation. Whatever you do, don't start on all these ghastly low-fat or sugar substitute non-foods. They're just chemicals. There is also good evidence that low-fat food has the opposite effect from that intended - it's so unsatisfying that people have more, whereas a bit of cheese, butter, cream etc is full of vitamins and is actually nourishing, and so long as you don't binge on such foods, they are actually useful to your body. Try not to use refined sugar in any way, or at least to keep consumption low. Replacing with sugar substitutes does you no good and may do harm (as aspartame was proved to do).

Something low fat/ low in calories on the Cheddar's menu?

The Ultimate Lunch Combo doesn't sound so bad
Have the Bowl of Soup and the House Salad (Avoid Creamy soups)
Or have the House Salad and the Loaded Baked Potato
Really any salad is a good choice, just limit toppings and get a lite/ fat free dressing (Or none) :)
Just enjoy yourself, even if you choose a higher calorie meal, one day shouldn't make hardly any difference :D

Low Fat diet or low Calorie diet?

Eat fat = get fat.
Low carb diets work faster than low calorie ones, but they eventually even out with the same results after 1 year.
1 gram fat: 9 Calories
1 gram protein: 4 Calories
1 gram carbohydrates: 4 Calories
1 gram alcohol: 7 Calories

So, obviously, if you drink then you totally have to rule that out, in whichever diet you wish to follow. Generally though, I recommend one which best suits your lifestyle and beliefs (e.g. vegetarian). Diets high in protein and low in carbs show rapid results of fat loss and muscle gain. However, the brain needs carbs to function properly.
I think you should just healthy and exercise regularly (at least 30-60 minutes of cardio everyday, whether you're on a diet or not, it's for the benefit of your heart's health).

Conclusion: both low-cal and low-fat.
So for example, you could have a serving of Greensea's 98% fat free tuna in brine for only 77 Calories, hardly any fat at all, *AND* no carbohydrates :)
Have 1,200 Calories at least though, otherwise you'd be starving yourself and that's no good.
However, I do recommend you do a water fast (for weight loss and plus very beneficial health reasons) 2 or 3 days a week.
In a 24h water fast you can expect to lose 2lbs and in a 1-week water fast the average loss is 9lbs.

Good Luck!

What are some low in fat/calories, long-lasting candies?

The best thing to do if you are trying to lose weight/stay healthy is to try and avoid those urges and cravings for candy.. when you go to a movie, it is usually very hard to limit yourself to eating (at least, in my experiences.) It is a better idea to bring snacks with sugar in them before you go, so you can limit your quantity, and have better quality foods.

I learned today that the cravings for chocolate have to do with the brain just wanting sugar... people crave the chocolate because chocolate is so bad for you that it delivers the sugar and fat to your body immediately. Try packing some sugar-free fruity gum, or actual fruit... the sugar taste in gum will actually help make the cravings leave if you concentrate on the flavor, as well as lasting a long time... sugar-free gum is also an all-low 7 calories per stick. Actual fruit is packed with nutrients, great for you, and will slowly [so don't down the whole fruit at once] deliver the sugar and help you stop craving these candies in the longer run.

Buy a water bottle at the movies, and eat whatever snack you decide for, and every time you have either three bites or five candies [if you insist on getting the candy] drink a sip of your water. It will send signals to your brain that will tell you that you're getting full, and you'll subconciously stop eating your candy, resulting in less fat gained.

I would suggest, if you MUST get candy:
mints [not EXACTLY candy, but last long, strong flavor]
weight watchers lollipops
raisinettes
hard life savers
good luck :]

What foods are tasty and filling and low in calories?

Very important question actually.“FILLING”What is the definition of filling?Let’s assume you mean satiation, or absence of hunger basically.Well, calories, or energy density is one of the properties of satiating food - so low calorie AND filling is kind of contradictory. Meaning you can fill your stomach with broccoli and Brussels sprouts (love both by the way) all day long, and it can be filling, for like an hour, and then you are hungry again, mostly because you missed essential fatty acids and protein, that contribute to satiety a BIG deal, but at the same time, those higher fat and protein foods are not low in calories, assuming here we are talking about whole foods. But to answer your question a bit, if you concerned about calories, then eating protein rich foods, like a piece of tuna, or chicken breast, will be much better spending of your calories, when concerned about feeling full, since protein is THE MOST SATIATING nutrient. But you can not survive on protein alone, of course, and some fats are also essential for life, so are essential minerals and vitamins. So according to our new rule: protein rich + less calories - here is a list of some foods I recommend to include for more satiety and less calories, if weight loss is an issue - go with seafood:tunapollockhalibuttilapiashrimplean beeflean porkturkey breastchicken breastegg-whitesGreek yogurtcottage cheese

Do powdered drinks have low calories? Will they make you fat?

Yes and no. Let's qualify first your beverage in question. Instant powdered drinks have different sugar and sugar:sweetener combinations that will eventually vary your caloric intake. This you need to check as the sugar content is almost always the source of the drink's carbohydrate content.  The sweetener used (may it be sucralose, aspartame, ace-K, saccharin, neotame, etc) has very minimal effect on the caloric count, if at all. For reference purposes, let's say that the regular Nestea uses all sugar for sweetening its powder beverage in its formulation, and directions to reconstitute says 2 T (tablespoons) per glass of cold water, around 250ml  (that's a small glass) which makes for about 1:10 dilution. Considering Nestea is mostly sugar, you're getting  around 24g of sugar per serving, or 84.8 calories.  And somehow sometimes we're lost in translation with the serving size and the dosage used depending on our sweet taste preference.Note 1g sugar = 4 calories. Here's a Nestea iced tea lemon information ex-Canada, which reads that the powder is 94% sugar. At 18g/serving it makes around 200ml and 72 calories.Zero sugar drinks as stated, should have zero calories. You can drink all you want of these stuff. 200ml serve = 0 calorie.  'Lite' or less sugar drinks combine a ratio in-between, from half the required sugar, and the remaining half with the equivalent sweetener. So if we go 50% less sugarquivalent to 36 calories. Add up all your serving portions of these drinks, the equivalent calorie counts and compare compare it against your specific RDA, then you would know if it WILL make you fat or not. Also, we don't really drink just 200ml of the stuff right? So adjust your calculations if you have bottomless drinks on your tap.

I only ate 900 calories today...?

eating low calorie once won't make you go into starvation mode, S mode take upto 3 months before it starts. If it's one day it shouldn't matter as long as you body got it's nutrients especially since it's night you'd end up storing it in your sleep. There are days where i eat 1200,100,1500,900,1300,etc,etc.
I still feel and look perfectly healthy :)
working out is up to u
