Something Wrong Or Just Bruised

I get random bruises on my legs...is there something wrong with me?

Well that happened to me, believe it or not.
My strep throat was never completely "cured" and I ended up getting some disease called HSP. (I dont know what it stands for). But it was really bad, remember in like 2nd grade. I had to get so many blood tests =0. and all it was were these bruises over my legs.

You are a pretty weird child so that might be why =) but I'd definetly tell yuor mom. When i had them, they thought it was lukiemia (SP) =\ but fortunetly it wasnt =)

Is there anything wrong with eating the bruised part of a banana?

ever since i was little, i always took the bruised bit off my bananas, but this has caused me wonder if it could actually make you sick or anything to eat it? i assume not, but figured i would ask anyways..

My body wont bruise what is wrong with me!?

Nothing is wrong with you... you are blessed with some good jeans. I too have never broke anything, though I do bruise but not easily. If you're unsure, talk to your family doctor.

My foot is bruised on the inside from hitting first base wrong. What's wrong with it?

I'm a hard core softball player. My 'weapon' is my speed. I'm used to taking long stretches on that last step to make it to first base to beat out my bunt, but I've recently been having trouble with the inside of my right foot, the foot that always hits first base. It started a week or so ago when i stepped on the base weird and my foot kind of gave out, but i continued to play on it for the rest of the day. I honestly don't know exactly what i did when i stepped on the base to injure my foot, perhaps i just stepped on the base with the inside of my foot, who knows.... The next day it was really bruised right under that ankle bone on the inside of your foot. I started wearing an ankle brace, but it slowed me down, so i quit wearing it. The bruise had almost gone away and was starting to hurt less and less, but then tonight it began to hurt again, and all i did was my big stretch to make it to first. Like i said, it's right underneath that ankle bone on the inside of your foot. It's bruised and pretty swollen. Any idea what's wrong with it? i would go to a doctor to get professional help, but i have to play. i'm not going to sit out, so i will just take care of it myself. that may sound stupid, but hey, i love the game too much to sit out. So please help if you know what could be wrong with my foot, and what i could do to heal it! Thank you in advance.

Is it possible to bruise a bone? Or what could be wrong with my elbow?

about two months ago a hit my elbow really hard on a sharp surface and it definitely brought more tears to my eyes then when I normally hit my funny bone. Up until two weeks ago I would have to quickly draw back my elbow whenever I accidentally put it to rest on a surface because I was in so much pain. I still have significant pain but I'm able to rest it on a table without extreme pain.
It only bruised up a little at the beginning (which is pretty good because I normally bruise pretty easily) but there has been no visible signs of anything wrong over the past 1.5 months. My range of motion is fine, and the pain mostly occurs when I just put pressure on it.
Could this be something more serious like a small fracture or chip? Or is it probably just something painful that is starting to clear up?

American Toad has a bruise on its belly. What's wrong with her & how can I help her heal?

She's sitting leaning on one side, avoiding the bruise. The bruise is 1" long & dark on her left side of her white underbelly. I don't know how she got it but she's avoiding that side which concerns me. But she doesn't mind sitting on my sleeve for warmth. I've searched in vain on the internet about this. She's about 2 or 3 years old.

Tattoo Bruising after a month?

I've had several tattoos done..but I got one on my upper back..on my shoulder blade and it bruised a bunch. It was the first one to do that. Most of the bruising went away within a week.

My tattoo is healed now, but it still has some light greyish/black bruising around the outlines..and I don't know how to get rid of it. It's not painful or sore or anything.

I don't think my tattoo artist did anything wrong or 'went too deep' because my other tattoos that he did turned out fine. I don't think its a blowout either.

But..I'm just concerned because it's been about 4 weeks and it won't go away.

Do I have a bruised heel or a splinter?

Hello,

First of all I am sorry that you have this pain which prevents you from walking normally.

However, from your description it is very hard to determine exactly what is wrong with your heel. It does sound like a bruise though.

In order to understand your condition better and to give you a proper diagnosis please answer these questions:

1) Is it sensitive to the touch/press on it?
2) Do you have high or low arches in your feet?
3) What kind of shoes do you usually wear?
4) How long do you have this pain?
5) Is there any redness or swelling visible?

Here are a few things you can do right now:

1) In general you should be completely resting your injured foot - Minimize walking / standing and see if there is some improvement.

2) Ice your heel at least 4 times a day, either by applying ice directly or by rolling a frozen bottle under your heel and arch when you sit down.

3) Massage the area to speed up healing.

4) Wear good supportive shoes around the house as well.

Again, if you can answer my questions I would be happy to assist you further!

You can write to me directly if you prefer, my email is in my Yahoo profile or itaiw@yahoo.com

Feel Better!
