Sometime I Can Not Received Email From My Friends. It Always Said Failure. What Should I Do

Not receiving email sent from friends?

If you receive "replys" from them (as you say)------but not emails that they have (first) sent------then the problem isn't with your account. It's with them. They are obviously making some mistake when they enter your address.

The reason you get their "replies" is because your correctly formed address is always automatically added by your mail server (therefore---no mistakes).

The reason their emails are returned to them (probably with a failure notice)---is because they aren't entering the "exact" or correct address.

I can't receive any email, and my YM is not working well?

Yahoo put a block on that IP address. Usually due to Temporary Suspended Account lasting from 2 to 48 hours.
No Send no receive no moving of messages during that time.
Here`s some information on how it works.
The most common reason for receiving Yahoo Error 999 is due to some sort of
bandwidth limiting system that Yahoo has put in place on their servers. Once you have
exceeded your allotted bandwidth for a specific period of time Yahoo gives you this
Error 999 message and doesn't allow you to access the service. People have primarily
reported receiving this error when they try to access Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Groups, but
other Yahoo services may also be affected.

It appears that Yahoo uses your IP address to track the amount of traffic you're generating
on Yahoo, and once you reach the limit you get blocked by the Unable to process request
at this time -- error 999 message. Once triggered you will find that your IP address has
been blocked for a period of time, somewhere between 2 and 48 hours usually.

I can not get my friends email?

Hi,
Server Farm incompatibility is usually the problem.
Thousands are having many different problems with their e-mail.
This applies to almost all areas of mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos, etc.), original and beta mail, messenger and search problems. I have been sent mail that is dated as far back as 8 days. But I do get it!!! The same thing applies to their recieving my mail, for the last few weeks.
Yahoo! is wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta (beta testing lasts for at least 6 months!!!) and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
1. You will have less problems with original mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger.
2. Or if you don't have Yahoo Messenger:
Beta wouldn't let me in so I went to beta help and it said to click on my toolbar mail icon. So I did and it worked!
3. Or if you don't have beta mail:
http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/ can be used to sign into Yahoo!, then put yahoo back into the address bar and hit go. It will take you back to Yahoo! and you can open mail normally. Otherwise, you can open mail in wap, but it is blind. I had to go through wap each time I logged in.
4. BETA means TESTING!!!
So, it seems we have to stop using these two programs (if you installed them) or try to work around them until they finish wrapping things up. Your IE6 is still installed, so you just have to go to: Start, settings/control panel, add/remove programs and delete IE7. For Beta mail you only have to use the switch back option located in your mail inbox. Also, where you sign in by clicking on: Are you having trouble?. You can keep trying them periodically!

KEEP GETTING MAIL FAILURE NOTICES?

Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Robyn.
Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.' If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can.
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately.
Then, you will have to inform your contacts that it was not you sending that mail, but they need to check their computers in case they were also infected.

Not able to receive emails in yahoo inbox?

A lot of us are having problems with Yahoo email.

I can send, but cannot receive. Plus I discovered a lot of my main contacts were in the "blocked address" folder.

Who knows how long they've been there?

I went to the Help link and found that they're charging like $30 for three days of assistance. So what if this happens again next week?

I tried calling, but could not get through. I did leave a message saying that this is a free service, and I'm not paying for help--especially since it could happen later without warning.

I will just go elsewhere. There are plenty of sites that offer free email accounts.

I also said they may get a few folks who'll pay--but there will be a huge backlash if they try to hold our "free" accounts hostage.

Y'all do what you want. But I wouldn't encourage anyone to pay for the support. What's to stop them from purposely pulling this every week?

When I was 16, my mom left her laptop open. I often used her laptop for my projects (this was in 2010, so not really the time for smartphones and ease of technology back in the day specially for us since we had financial strains).I was on the browser working but then I clicked on her gmail account out of curiosity ( I did that a couple of times, been told off too because of it and I know I should not have ) , saw an email by someone called Rebecca D. (name changed). Rebecca was her lawyer during the divorce with my dad over 5 years ago, and I was wondering why she sent an email. What I saw next, well it shocked me- my mom was on trial for wire fraud. Rebecca had emailed my mom saying she expects a prison term of 2 years. I was sitting there in disbelief, my mom had gone to court that very day (told me she was going to work) and when she returned, she seemed perfectly ok. But when I told her I saw Rebecca’s email she broke down and told me that she did something wrong and she had been sentenced that day for 20 months in prison. She was to surrender on Monday morning (this was on Friday). She had already arranged with my aunt to take care of me and my aunt was/is like my second mother.A really funny thing was that on the Thursday evening, we went to go watch “The Next Three days” about a woman going to prison and my mom “joked” what would I do if she went to prison . I did not think much of it, not knowing that by next Thursday she would actually be in prison. My mom served 17 months in prison and then she was released on good behavior. She has been very open with me since and does not hide any more secrets.

I have someone hacked into my yahoo account and sending things to my contacts,I receive failure in my email.?

Your account got compromised. First change your password. Account help.http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/acct/in… for just about anything to do with your account. Then run anti Virus and Anti Spyware. Should be fine then.
