Sometimes I Feel Like Imnot Breathing

Sometimes I feel like i'm not breathing in enough air?

I tend to be sitting down in a chair when I suddenly feel like im not breathing in enough air. I dont feel like im choking or anything like that, I just have a sudden lingering feeling that I need more air.
I don't have any trouble with coughing or wheezing, so I dont think it's asthma (but I could be wrong).

Why do I sometimes suddenly have a hard time breathing deeply (feel like I'm out of air)?

Shortness of breathing can be triggered by various reasons. As it is said that "prevention is better than cure" so it is better to consult a medical professional, if this sensation happens in regularity. I am chalking out some common reason which could stimulate such condition -1) Pollution2) Smoking3) Anxiety4) Chronic cardiopulmonary conditions like asthma, heart disease etc5) Obesity6) Low blood pressure7) Sudden blood lose8) AnemiaGet the help of a healthcare expert, if you feel you are encountered by this problem often in your life, as it could lead to severe health condition if not treated on time.

Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe enough?

I think you are having what is called a "panic attack." I've been diagnosed with Panic Disorder by more than one psychiatrist. There's nothing you can do except keep trying to change the way you think. I learned that your brain can kill you! Your subconscious mind is full of beliefs that you feel before, during and after a panic attack. For example, when masturbating, I would sometimes have a panic attack because I was feeling that I was sinning against God. I was feeling that God was watching me and was angry at me and He was thinking that I don’t deserve to live anymore so He was going to end my life right then and there! . . . So, I would feel chest pains, palpitations, elevated blood pressure, red skin, excessive sweating, numbness in my left arm (a sign of a heart attack), tightness in my chest and shortness of breath, and a sudden increase in body temperature! These symptoms would all hit me within a matter of minutes! Then I would sometimes be so afraid that I would call for an AMBULANCE! The paramedics would measure my BP and it would be 180 over 120! (Normally it is 125 over 85.) Your brain can kill you! My psychotherapist agrees with me. He taught me to say something to myself when the signs of a panic attack first start. I now say to myself: "Sex is a biological function. It is normal. Everybody does it. Sex is a biological function. It is normal. Everybody does it…” I repeat it 4 or 5 times for a minute, maybe two. Then… my brain doesn't start to run away with thoughts like "I am sinning against God! God is watching me and is ANGRY at me and He feels that I DON’T DESERVE TO LIVE anymore so He is going to END my life right now by a heart attack or a sudden stroke in my brain from elevated blood pressure."

I hope I have helped you. Panic attacks are very scary and other people don't understand what we go through. Good luck.

Why do I feel like I'm breathing through my ear?

Your ears and throat are connected through structures called Eustation tubes. They allow for the equalization of pressure, that’s why yawning on a plane will help fix your ears if they’ve popped. Yawning puts your jaw in such a position that it opens those tubes and thus equalizes the air pressure inside and outside of your ear, providing relief from the discomfort of popped ears. Sometimes if you’re sick with a head cold, you can actually feel where they are in your throat, near your tonsils on both sides.

Trouble breathing, feels like I'm not getting enough oxygen?

Every since I was little, I've complained about having trouble breathing. It happens off and on, so it's not like a minute to minute, day to day thing. Sometimes my difficulty breathing will last for a week straight, then not come back for another few weeks. Or sometimes, it'll happen just every few days.

It sort of feels like I'm not getting enough oxygen to my lungs and I'll feel a light pressure on my chest, and I'll start getting lightheaded and dizzy, so I'll have to sit there and take many deep breaths just to get some relief. I went to the doctor about 6 years ago when I was thirteen, and all they did was have me inhale and exhale for them, and they blew it off and said I was fine. Does anybody have any idea what this could be? I don't have any chest pain or coughing and I'm not allergic to anything.
