What song gets you in the mood to draw?

Interesting question....
Obviously you are an artist - so maybe (just maybe) a better way to word your question would have been: "What music gets your creative juices flowing?" or "What music inspires you to create?"

The ONLY reason I said this, is being an artist myself, the last few years I have been having problems with my hands which makes it difficult to draw as much as I used to, so I have to use other mediums to express my artistic side. Not only do I love to draw, but I also do photography, calligraphy (including Tengwar and Angerthas - Tolkien invented writing systems), write stories, poems and lyrics (can't write music).

Having said that, it's going to be hard to narrow this down because music is very important to me - "Music is ev-ry-thing to me - it's all I can say." Different songs inspire different moods. But, the songs that most frequently inspire me to create are:

30 SECONDS TO MARS- almost any song by them - but to narrow it down: Hurricane, R- Evolve, Search And Destroy, The Fantasy ABL, etc.
THE ANIX - Sleepwalker, Warning Signs, In The Dark
BLACK LAB - Anything, Gates Of The Country, The Pain Is Gone, The Moon
THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM- We Did It When We Were Young
LINKIN PARK - Iridescent, Shadow Of The Day, The Catalyst
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - Sing
RINGSIDE- Dayglo, Tried of Being Sorry, Criminal
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH - Far From Home
RED - Let It Burn, Not Alone
ASHES REMAIN - Without You
DAMIEN RICE -9 Crimes
SENT BY RAVENS - Never Be Enough
COLD- Wicked World, Bleed
10 YEARS - Forever Fields, Tightrope
FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - No Light - No Light, Drumming Song, Shake It Out
CREED - Higher
IMAGINE DRAGONS - It's Time, Demons
OTHERWISE- Soldiers
FUN. - Some Nights
THE VEILS - Site Down By The Fire
MICHAEL CUSSON (from the show ' Cavalia') - Reflexio
SPOON - Got Nuffin
MARTIN PAGE - The DoorDoor
THE VEER UNION - Bitter End
COLLECTIVE SOUL - She Said, Reunion
U2 - Running To Stand Still, Exit
THE LUMINEERS - Stubborn Love
TREVOR HALL - Brand New Day, The Mountain, House
SNOW PATROL - Just Say Yes, New York, In The End

What are good songs to illustrate in a drawing?

I need suggestions for songs!
For my art class we have to illustrate a song. I am having a hard time thinking of a song. Most of the ones I want I only picked because they had a good beat, but I want one with good lyrics. Like a hidden message or a cute story in the lyrics would be nice. I can't draw people to well so...
What I came up with so far (to help you see what I want and don't want)
-Seventeen Forever - Metrostation [repeats the same words a lot, good beat]
-Black and Gold - Sam Sparro [easy to draw the lyrics and colors]
-It's Only Life - Kate Voegele [don't know what to draw, good message]

If its not too much trouble more rececent songs would be nice.
Thank you!
:)

What's difference between a song and a poem?

Here you go…Poems are written or spoken for communicating beautiful, imaginative or elevated thoughts. Songs are written for communicating beautiful melody.Poems can be recited in any manner. Songs have a proper style of reciting.Words are focussed on in a poem. Melody is focussed on in a song.Poems require 70% Brain and 30% Heart to be created. Songs require 90% Heart and 10% Brain to be created.A poem is a spawn of a Poet. A song is a spawn of a lyricist and a musician.Poems have stanzas. Songs have verses.Poems need a rhyming scheme. Songs don't necessarily need a rhyme however.( I said not necessarily)Poems have literary (poetic) devices. Songs have musical devices.Poems need a poetic license to violate english. Songs can violate english anyway. XD. And at last…Poems are understood. Songs are felt. Both Poems and Songs are beautiful creations of mankind and are best ways of conveying something to someone.I am sorry if you disagree with some of my points….Thanks for giving your time…_R°N_

Scientific method poem or song?

I would choose the song and just have the words rhyme. Really, poems and songs are the same things. You can use an online rhyming dictionary to help you if you get stuck.
I have always used this site and it works for me: http://www.poetry4kids.com/rhymes

Here's the scientific method in case you didn't know it:
Ask a Question
Do Background Research
Construct a Hypothesis
Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
Communicate Your Results

Here's an example of what you could do:

Ask away a question
Display some research
If you do the scientific method, then you surely will come a long way

I'll stop there before it becomes any cheesier. Hope I gave you some ideas. Have fun with it.

What is the meaning of walt whitman's poem as they draw to a close?

As They Draw to a Close
As they draw to a close,
Of what underlies the precedent songs—of my aims in them,
Of the seed I have sought to plant in them,
Of joy, sweet joy, through many a year, in them,
(For them, for them have I lived, in them my work is done,)
Of many an aspiration fond, of many a dream and plan;
Through Space and Time fused in a chant, and the flowing eternal identity,
To Nature encompassing these, encompassing God—to the joyous,
electric all,
To the sense of Death, and accepting exulting in Death in its turn
the same as life,
The entrance of man to sing;
To compact you, ye parted, diverse lives,
To put rapport the mountains and rocks and streams,
And the winds of the north, and the forests of oak and pine,
With you O soul.

What are some good poems about sisters?

There are many to read through [including the one below],
at the links I have provided.
A an idea for you to consider, is to have three or four intertwined
hearts, with the initial of each sister in the middle...

Three Sister's - © Francis I. Gillespie

We are three sisters
Three sisters are we
I love each of you,
And I know you love me

We’re not always together,
Life sometimes keeps us apart.
But we're never separated
We’re in each other's heart.

Now I know we've had our troubles,
But we always get thru.
The real message is you love me,
And I also love you.

We have had lots of good times
That we'll never forget
Sometimes we worry
And sometimes we fret

But if God ever gave me
Something special you see,
It might have been the blessing of,
Three sisters are we.

The Lord above has gave me lots
Of happiness and glee
But the most special thing he did was
Make us sisters, all three.

How are songs actually composed? Is the music composed and written on the paper first and then played on instruments?

I compose music for my own personal enjoyment as a hobby. I find that it’s good stress relief to “play my emotions” to help process them. I suppose other people write poetry or draw to accomplish the same means.Generally I fool around on my piano, playing whatever I feel. The music seems to play itself. That being said, I have many decades of musical experience, so I can make sounds as easily as I can speak. My fingers know exactly where to go to make the sounds I hear in my head. Every once in a while I play a phrase that I really like, so I load Cubase, a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that I know well and commit it to my computer via my MIDI keyboard. It’s helpful to look over the shoulder of someone using a DAW to understand the concept. My computer has a recording of thousands of instruments playing one note at a time, so all I have to do is put them together via MIDI to make a complete song. Here’s an example of me adding a part to a piece I’m working on:
