Sony Mp3 Walkman Screen Is Worn With No Contact

Does anyone still use “The Sony Walkman?

if you're referring to the Sony mp3 walkman yes. I tested one back in 2016. Let's start with the good things:the sound was audiophile quality. No extra apps were needed in order to make it sound better than my iPod touch. You have more capacity for more songs through an SD card. More than any IOS Apple device. The album cover is displayed on the small screen, as long as it is embebbed with each track. The interface was pretty acceptable. Visually some people enjoy using the walkman because of its dark screen plus does not slow down while scroling. However, if you own a Mac computer and try to use a Sony walkman to download your songs: not a good idea. Both systems are not compatible. It’s much better if you use a PC.The walkman has its own propietary charging and syncing cable. If you lost it or damage it, the player won’t be able to use any other one.The walkman was a bit too small for my taste. Screen wise the visuals were good. But it has nothing to do with the modern cell phone screens or the one the iPod touch has.Sony has forgotten that using a music player has to be an stunning visual experience also, not only a sonic one. The company has released since then, better looking products, but face stiff competition by the likes of Fiio, Astell & Kern or Hiby.I would suggest to do some research if you’re looking for a portable mp3 player. Because nowdays there are many options besides only Apple or Sony. Especially the Android based players have been packed with many options and they giving you a lot for your buck. It starts and depends on what you are looking for.

Why do songs stop playing if I lock my phone screen?

It’s possible that you would find certain apps getting killed in the background on your device. This largely happens largely due to two reasons:These devices automatically kill apps running in the background to free up more space in RAM.Customised battery profiles on these devices optimise battery usage by killing some apps in the background. In most cases, it’s possible for you to make certain changes in the phone settings and prevent your favourite app from being killed in the background. Some generic Settings changes you might want to try:Turn off Data Saver modeGo to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage > Data SaverTurn Data Saver off to allow your favourite apps to access data and run uninterruptedGive your favourite app unrestricted data accessGo to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage > Data Saver > Unrestricted data accessTurn “Unrestricted data access” on to allow your favourite apps to run uninterrupted, overriding your Data Saver settingsTurn Battery saver offGo to Settings > Battery > Battery saverTurn Battery Saver offTurn Battery Optimization off for your favourite appsGo to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization > Select appSelect “Don’t optimize”Some settings changes are specific to certain device. You can find details of how to do this on a Xiaomi and Honor device below. I take the example of Wynk Music on these two phones - I work at Wynk Music and am thus well versed with this issue, although the same might apply to other apps on your device. What can you do on your Xiaomi device?Lock apps in Memory - steps below:Open the app you want to save from getting killed in the backgroundOpen the Recent Apps menuSwipe the app screen/app icon downTap on the lock icon on the top left cornerThis locks the app into the memory & it won’t get force killed in the background.Kill other heavy apps that might be consuming more RAM or memoryChange your battery settings - steps below:Open SecurityClick on Battery saverTurn off the Battery saverWhat can you do on your Honor device?Allow apps to operate on Screen Lock - steps below:Open “Settings”Tap on “Battery”“Close apps after screen lock”Scroll down to “Wynk Music” - switch to “Don’t close”In most cases, making these Settings changes will prevent apps from getting killed in the background. In case this doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to reach out to us at contact@wynk.in and we will try to resolve the problem another way.

Olympus WS-600S digital voice recorder won't start?? Is this a common Olympus issue?

I tried a new battery in my Olympus WS-600S digital voice recorder..nothing. Tried putting button on hold ten seconds, then trying to start it, nothing, blank screen. Plugged it into two different computers, nothing... and finally, tried my car radio MP3 input..nothing. This recorder was NOT exposed to rain, extreme hot, but last year, extreme cold. I had it in my pocket when it was pretty frigid out. But regardless, months later it worked great and now this morning, I go to start it and just...nothing.

Anyone experience this with this recorder and other Olympus and if so, how do I bypass the power switch and get back the hundreds of files onto my computer so I can atleast have this unit serviced??

How to transfer pictures to Sony mp3 walkman using windows explorer?

First [the basic] plug it in. After that, you will see a box on your screen saying 'Open device to view files using Window Explorer', click on it.
Click on 'Storage Media'. Click on any of the folders [picture/pictures].
Then open the folder containing the pictures you want to transfer. Then choose the files by holding down the 'CTRL' button and clicking on the files. After you're done selecting files, without releasing 'CTRL' button, or mouse, just drag them all to the task bar window to open Walkman
window. [note- you just have to stop at the window and it will open]. then drop it into the Walkman Folder. It is better not to leave the mouse or 'CTRL' button till transfered. Then unplug the device and see if it worked. If it did not, contact me, i will be glad to help.
