Sophia Took A Test And Scored In The 90th Percentile. What Percentage Of The Scores Were At Or Her

What's the percentage required in the 10th Standard for an admission in St. Xavier's College, Mumbai?

St . Xavier's College,Mumbai has a Junior College which offers admissions in two fields Arts and Science. It is a very well known college specailly known and a reputed college in the Arts field. The percentage required for the admissions is also high in this regard. For admissions in Arts Section the percentage shoots up to over 90% and the minimum is somewhere around 85%. Now for the Science section the percentage required is again over 90% and minimum 80%. The percentages required each year vary depending on the performances done by the students for that respective academic year.       Note:-Note:- Being a Catholic minority college 50% of the seats are reserved so the competition increases in the open category to get the admissions done..!!!! So score as high as u can caz nothing can be considered as a safe limit..

Will my graduation percentage matter in my UPSC interview?

I'm quoting this from Manocha Sir’s(Vajiram faculty Geography) classIf you have studied in IIT/IIM or Some other prestigious institution or Rank holder or If you hold many degrees and post-graduation etc, the interview panel's expectation from your side will be much higher than compared to an average candidate(Because before you enter, the panel might have read your DAF).So the standard of questions they throw towards you will be high, and if you are not able to manage it, you'll end up in getting a below average mark. And If you're studied from an average college and having 1st or second class only in degree, the panel's expectation from your side will be less and if you're able to perform well beyond their expectation you will be rewarded with more than average marks. So less marks in degree, less degree you hold means chances of getting better marks in interview.Note:Anyway if it isn't true, now you can't do anything to change your graduation marks. So leave all those thoughts and study well.Again some real life examples. My friend who was a district topper in 10th,state topper in 12th and IIT Delhi gold medalist in Mtech who got only 155 marks in 2015 interview(Alka sirohi board). The panel asked him :The railway track is made up of which material? He was not able to answer that.Even who remembers all these stuffs. My roomate who had around 16 arrears after graduation and took 1.5 year to clear that and went upto interview in 1st attempt. He also got 155 marks.Again Alphons kannamthanam IAS known as Demolishment man of Delhi who got 6th rank in IAS scored only 40% in his matriculationVijayan IPS(kerala Cadre) failed in his 10th.So there are so many examples like this.So leave the thoughts about interview, and prepare well for prelims and mains, If you score well in Mains, nobody can restrain you from getting into IAS.Focus on your WorkForget the resultsIt will Happen

Is a 5 on an AP test considered 90% and higher?

I’m not entirely sure what you are asking. If you are talking about percentiles, that depends entirely on the subject. If you look at the following AP exam score distribution chart, you will see what I’m talking about:Score DistributionsYou will see that AP Chinese Language, for example, had almost 63% of test takers get a 5. Therefore the percentile of students getting 5s will be roughly 37th, give or take. On the opposite side of the spectrum, only 4.6% of students scored a 5. Therefore, getting a 5 will give you a 95th percentile more or less. However, I may be misunderstanding your question. If what you’re looking for is the grade equivalent of an AP 5, I’m not sure there is a conversion. It is the highest score you can get on an AP test, so that would definitely be higher than 90%.If you are asking what percentage correct answers you need to score a 5, that also depends entirely on the test. Each subject has its own composite score that is assigned to each scaled score of 1 - 5. So if that’s your question, it’s a much harder one to answer and you would have to research the composite required for each AP course test.

Which university can I get into with a 1300 SAT score?

Which university can I get into with a 1300 SAT score?Assuming that all of the other key criteria in your application are consistent with an SAT of 1300, and given that there are over 4,000 institutions of higher education in the US, then all except those ranked in the top 100 in the US News for national liberal arts colleges and national universities would be reasonable to select as your target and safety schools. And you also want to choose 2 or 3 from those top 100s as reach schools.

Is it possible to pass the SAT without studying?

Absolutely. The test was never intended to be something you studied for. It's supposed to measure your ability. Abilities which is a combination of your IQ and the basic math and verbal skills you *should* have picked up in your previous 16-18 years of life and 10-14 years of schooling. All this hysterical studying for the SAT is mostly people preying on parent's fears about the future and getting into the "right" college. Which is predicated on the ideas that 1) college is the only way to be successful 2) that there are "right" colleges and 3) that getting an amazing SAT and getting into a prestigious college will somehow guarantee you a) pass, and get your degree and b) this will ensure that you get a good job and you'll be set for life.Truthfully, it really isn't that hard to get into college. As long as your college is accredited, it's really not *that* important which college you go to. As college cost somehow keeps rising you should really think hard about whether you need a degree. It will not guarantee you a job and graduating with the equivalent of a mortgage in debt is not a good idea. Think hard about the type of life you want for yourself and really make sure that the profession you are thinking of is compatible with this life-style. Talk to some adults and people out in industry. Make sure you pick a degree that will actually equip you for the career you want. Don't be afraid to stop and re-evaluate your plan often. If money is an issue, do not overlook community colleges.
