Sore Throat And Bumps On Neck

Lump in throat under jaw?

I was setting at the computer the other night and I turned my head side ways and I felt pain in my neck, so I felt where the pain was and there was a lump. It's about the size of a quater and it's pretty painful. I'd been feeling like I was getting a cold for about a week before I noticed it. It hurts when I swallow and when touched it feels like I'm touching a nerve or something. I don't know it's complicating and scary...will it go away or should I go to the doctor?

Stiff neck, back and sore throat ?

It started with a stiff back, then neck, then shoulders now I have a sore throat it really doesn't hurt bad but it feels like there's a lump in my throat somewhat of a chocking feeling but no swollen tonsils or white bumps. I have bad tension headaches and I have noticed all of the sudden I know find myself clenching my jag shut through my sleep, and now my ears hurt which I think isa because of me clenching my jaw shut because of the part where jaw connects at the top of your head... I haven't been coughing sneezing runny nose congested and I get greatest relief with my throat when I eat.

Sore throat swollen and white bumps on tonsils?

You have streptococcus virus, you are probably going to die. I give it a day or two before you start seeing adverse side affects, and well then comes a downward spiral of black plague symptoms. I would start doing the things you never had the chance to do in life.

Diagnosis for sore point on front of neck/throat?

For the last month or so I have had a sore point on the front side of my neck. As best I can describe it, it is about two inches below the jaw line slightly above the larynx and slightly to the left of center. It is very location specific - I can put my finger directly on it. I do not feel a lump or bump, and it is outside of my throat. It feels like it is specifically related to a point on the outer wall of my throat. I do not feel any inner throat symptoms; no internal throat pain, pain from swallowing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing. I am in generally good shape, do not smoke or drink heavily, etc. The pain ebbs and flows, some days it is almost non-existent while other days it feels like a dull general pressure centered at one specific point. Any ideas?

What are the symptoms of strep throat?

Sore throat, hard to swallow.

Why do I have a lump in my neck?

There are many things that could manifest as a lump in your body. It could be a harmless lipoma to a malignant lymphoma. There are some features that may suggest that a lump is malignant or not. If it has fast onset and rapid growth; If it has hard consistency; If it is adhered to deep tissues (rather than mobile), the chances of it being malignant are greater. But that's not enough for you to sleep peacefully at night.Anyway it is highly recommended that you seek a doctor to assess fully the lump, perhaps with imaging and biopsy. It would be irresponsible to rely solely on information you got from strangers on the internet.

Why is there a lump in throat after the dentist gave me novocaine?

Have you had novocaine before yesterday? If not, it could be you're slightly allergic, but if you have had novocaine successfully in the past, I would keep an eye on it all day and see if it gets any worse. It could be that a little bacteria managed to get in where he put the shot and now there's a small infection. This doesn't mean he's a "dirty" dentist or anything, bacteria is everywhere and it can easily happen. If it's not any better today I'd give them a call and let them know. Since it's a follow up type appointment, they should look at it for free and let you know what they think. If you can't get any answers from them, try your regular doctor as he may be able to look in there, or do some x-rays, etc., and make sure there isn't an infection. I know when I've had novocaine in the past, especially when they inject it far back, my throat stays irritated for a few days until the injection site heals. And this irritation would become more obvious upon swallowing. I wish you the best of luck!

I smoked weed and now I have a red spot in the back of my throat and my throat is sore. Do I need to go to the doctor?

I think you probably burned the back of your throat a little bit, pulling hard on that burning joint! It should heal in a few days. Meanwhile, lay off the smoking. Inhaling steam from a hot beverage (tea is nice) can keep the sore throat moist and soothed. However, if the spot gets more painful or swollen or you have trouble breathing or swallowing, do see a medical professional: you might have an infection—not likely related to smoking weed, however.
