Sorority When Filling Out My Sheet To Pick My Big Can I Pick A Girl Who Already Has A Little

Sorority: When filling out my sheet to pick my big, can I pick a girl who already has a little?

Ask your new member educator to be sure but if she says you can pick whoever you want there are some things to consider.

Lets assume you are in a big chapter (80+ members)
1) not all lifetime members want a little or another little, ask around
2) not all lifetimes are allowed littles, some chapters use it as a reward for good grades/participation
3) Juniors and seniors will leave sooner than another soph or frosh so you'll only have them one maybe two years.
4) someone who already has a little may not be as excited as someone getting their first.
5) if you are one of many littles you have to share your big, that means when it is her b-day or 21er you will have to coordinate with all the other littles.
6) ask the new member ed what the rules are, sometimes your choice gets priority and other times the lifetime gets her first choice. You may want to ask a few lifetimes if they want to be your big and see if they are interested.
7) Having a little can be expensive so choose someone without money problems
8) Choose someone who loves your sorority. It sucks when you get a big who doesn't care, has attitude problems, quits or gets suspended.

The person doing the matching usually considers the fact that a lifetime is a senior or has other littles when deciding who gets who. Lets say you pick three possible bigs:
1. senior who is older than you but already has a little (you are #2 on her list)
2. junior who is a little younger than you but doesn't have a little (you are #1 on her list)
3. a sophomore who is older than you. (you are #4 on here list)
If I were doing the matching, knowing what I do about you and the lifetimes, I would choose #2 since you were her first choice, she doesn't have a little, and you will have at least one full year with her in the chapter. Age is a consideration but not as important as making everyone happy.

Remember you can always be adopted by someone if your big sucks later on. So don't stress too much sometimes it works out and other times it is just a silly tradition that only lasts a term before you and your big grow apart.

I am seeking revenge for girls who swipe their fingers across personal dry erase boards in dormatory.?

Go buy a can of strong capsacin pepper spray, like the closer to ten percent the better, take that sucker out and spray it down good, then (with gloves on!) put it back up and steer clear of it.

Your suspect(now a victim) will eventually rub some sensitive skin and proceed to burn and turn red wherever she/he touches.
The oils in pepper spray stay with the skin for sometime, even after a good wash!

I reserve the right to inform you this may not be a legal means of recourse, but what the hell?!

When girls take pictures, why do they have only half of their face showing usually in the corner? Is this a trend?

As a boy, I can't say for sure. But asking my teenage friends who are girls, they said that it makes them seem more mysterious or beautiful in a way.Based off of this, I believe that only seeing a part of a face gives an illusion of symmetry, as the second half of the face is unseen, and thus kept hidden. It may be a tool or technique for aesthetics or maintaining a sense of mystery and allure, but no one can say for sure.

What are some little things that annoy you like crazy?

I've got a whole list of them on the back of a poster in my room haha. Most all of them have to do with school because I hate just about everyone and everything at my school. Anyways here's a few:

1) All the clocks at school are 4 minutes late. If my cellphone says it's 3:30, the school clocks say 3:26. And they strictly dismiss us freshmen at 3:30.
2) Everyone at my school is obsessed with sororities and fraternities. They're all like "OMFG OMEGA PREPS FTW". I don't get it :/
3) There's this guy who literally won't stop talking to me and asking if I have boyfriend/if I'm a virgin, etc... He has an identical twin...who is equally annoying. And plus they do the whole twin thing so wrong I just want to slap both of them.
4) I don't know who Snooki is but people are always talking about her and she was on the cover of a magazine I got in the mail this morning. Some fat lady.
5) I'm writing some ideas down for a novel (I usually do this during class) and I already feel stupid about hoping it gets published...what's worse is people keep looking over my shoulder and asking what I'm doing and why I keep covering it up. Er....

So there you go. You don't have to read any of that because it's just BS but feel free to rant, I'll be up all night :) Thanks for answering!

What to do on a delta sigma theta interview?

A Delta Sigma Theta Interview, is just like a regular job interview. So my advice is to prepare just like you would if you were applying for a job. Point out your strengths, make sure you know and can answer why you want to become a member of this illustrious organization, and be professional. I feel it's wonderful that you are so involved in community service, keep up the good work!

As far as your g.p.a, I wouldn't worry about that. You meet the minimal requirements to apply so I say go for it. What I found when I was in school and we were going through choosing women for intake, I noticed that there were some women that were stronger in some areas than areas. (for example, having a 3.9 g.p.a, but minimal community service, or 2.9 g.p.a but president of Student government, Black Student Union, and tons of community service, etc...)

If my sorors see that your g.p.a. is a 2.7, but they also see how involved you are on campus (Student Government, community service, etc..) and outside of school, then I am sure they will consider you a candidate for membership. Continue to get involved, submit your application and let the chips fall...

Good luck on your quest to sisterhood, and I hope this helps! Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
