South Carolina Is Deny My Unemployment Because Of My Condition Whats The Solution

Can I get food stamps if I am on unemployment?

Yes, as a matter of fact, it should be easier for you to receive food stamps because it will be easier for them to verify your income. Our food stamp office verifies unemployment benefits via the same state system they use to determine food stamp eligibility. They are able to view work quarters and the date unemployment payouts begin. Income, or the lack of income, has to be verified as part of the food stamp application process. In our area, emergency food stamps can also be requested. Do a search to find out if there are any food banks (pantries) in your area. Once you are approved to receive food stamps, you automatically qualify for food bank distributions.

What happens when I leave a state during my felony probation?

In Wisconsin where I worked, if you left the state without permission of your Probation and Parole Agent, it was a violation of your supervision rules. THIS IS CONSIDERED A SERIOUS VIOLATION! Your probation can be revoked for this, and you can go to prison for it.Travel passes were fairly easy to get if you are doing the things you are supposed to be doing. Meaning, you were attending classes/treament programming and paying your court ordered financial obligations and supervision fees. If you give your agent enough time to get the paperwork done, your travel permit can be prepared in advance and left at the front desk for you to sign for, all you have to do is pick it up. If you are not up on paying your financial obligations, start catching up on them before you ask for a travel permit, you are not going to get off supervision owing restitution ordered by the judge, you just are not.A person who leaves the state without authorization is still engaging in criminal thinking. Why risk going to prison? A travel permit is not that hard to get. I can tell you I saw some of my offenders in Minnesota without permission, their outcomes were not good.

I am considering leaving my job due to a medical condition?

I guess LCR000 has not read the ADA statute regarding Allergies, etc

Does the ADA Apply to People with Asthma and Allergies?
Yes. In both the ADA and Section 504, a person with a disability is described as someone who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, or is regarded as having such impairments. Breathing, eating, working and going to school are "major life activities." Asthma and allergies are still considered disabilities under the ADA, even if symptoms are controlled by medication.

The ADA can help people with asthma and allergies obtain safer, healthier environments where they work, shop, eat and go to school. The ADA also affects employment policies. For example, a private preschool can not refuse to enroll children because giving medication to or adapting snacks for students with allergies requires special staff training or because insurance rates might go up. A firm can not refuse to hire an otherwise quali

Can you get fired and collect unemployment?

if you are fired for attendance you will most likely NOT be eligible for unemployment but even if you were eligible you would NOT remain eligible if you are unable to accept a job if/when offered...
to remain eligible for unemployment you must be actively seeking full-time employment, you must be ready and able to immediately accept a job if offered, which with what you have posted here you are NOT able to do....

MOST states do NOT have short-term disability so that is NOT an option unless you happened to carry your own insurance policy....
SSDI, social security disability is only for long term disability and can take 2 to 5 years to be approved....

did you request FMLA to cover your absences?
have you requested an accommodation under ADA?
i am NOT saying you qualify for either of these, in fact i don't think you do but you should have tried....

so, you can file for unemployment, and see what happens but don't get your hopes up....

Compensation pay for missed days due to drug testing?

Hi. I am writing on behalf of one of my husband's coworkers. I don't know the whole story, but just what my husband told me. However, from what he said it does not seem fair to me. I would like to help this coworker, if I can. The situation is the following: coworker B told the supervisor that coworker A was doing drugs, which he denied. The supervisor sent coworker A home without pay. He had to take a drug test and was out of work for four days, I assume until the test results came back. The results came back negative, which coworker A knew they would. He asked the supervisor if he would be compensated for the days he missed and the supervisor said no. How is this fair, when coworker B had no proof whatsoever in the first place that coworker A was even doing drugs? I don't think there was any proof, but if there was my husband didn't know of any. He thinks it's just because of them spreading rumors and being trouble makers to certain people or as a joke. I think they should be punished for that myself! Because of this, coworker B is behind on his house payments and could possibly lose his home! Thanks for your time!

**Serious replies only, please.**
