Spider Bite Piercing Tips And Advice

How do I take care of my snake bite lip piercing?

Snake bite piercing is alot like the Tongue. You need to use mouth wash for inside the lip (expecially if you smoke) and peroxide or salt water on the outside. I'm hoping your jewelry is long enough and you have room for swelling. This can lead to problems if you don't. You can sucks on a popsicle or Mr. Freeze for any swelling but stay away from dairy. The dairy can cause bacteria to grow if your not rinsing enough. I hope this helps, good luck.

How long will the swelling last for spider bite piercing?

If the person can't put in a long enough barbell initially, why return to him/her? Go to a better piercer and have them help you out with getting properly fitting jewelry in. Take ibuprofen through the day for the swelling. Make sure you're keeping it clean by doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak and rinsing your mouth with alcohol-free mouthwash after meals.

If the piercing is embedding, ignore Samantha's advice of waiting it out for a week. The longer you wait, the worse it can get. A piercing embedding is not something that should be ignored. And no reputable piercer uses numbing cream due to what it does to the body.

What is your experience with spider bite piercings? Is there anything I should know before I get it done?

Okay, I don’t have spider bites but I did have snake bites. The only difference is that snake bites are more spread out than spider.I have one tip for you: Get the piercings at separate times. The first piercing hurt a bit. Like, a pinch then a dull, pulsing pain. That was okay. The second one hurt like a bitch. On top of the pain from the first piercing, this one was just horrible.I advise you to wait until the first piercings healed to get the second one, especially since they’re so close together.

Spiderbite piercing Scars ?

Hello, first I want to apolagize for my english,is not my native language.
I already had spiderbites and snakebites.
I had the snakebites for 5 months before they rejected,I was left without the scars,it was as if I had never pierced them.
I have the spiderbites for 4 years now and only take them out when I go to work, they're barely noticeable, people never notice the holes.
This is not me but my holes are exactly this size:

I know they look kinda big but in person they are barely noticeable, plus people will not always look at your lip fixedly. :)

If you wear makeup over the scars it'll be like you never pierced them.

But everyone is different.

Any advice on how to flip my septum piercing back out?

So, yes, I have a septum piercing and I've had it for a little over a week. I got it flipped up though after I pierced it because I have to work & we aren't allowed to show piercings. It's Saturday tomorrow (non-work day), and I would like to flip it back down. I'm not sure if I should move it around because it's such a fresh piercing, but it doesn't hurt much anymore. It's still a little sore. My problem is: I can't get it back down! My nose is small and my ring is a tad long. I don't know what to do! Any advice on getting my ring out?
P.S. Don't reply if you're just going to tell me to not touch it or play with it. I want advice on how to flip it back down when my ring is obv. longer.

How to get ready for a lip piercing?!?!?

Honestly, it doesn't hurt much more then your ears being pierced. I got the same piercings about a month ago. Just be sure to brush your teeth. When you get there they should have you clean your mouth with some mouth wash. I recommend when you get them pierced, tho use sea salt and water to clean your mouth and piercing instead of mouthwash since it's very common to get sores in your mouth for using mouth wash a lot, which you will be doing the first few day. Me and my brother both got the sores due to mouth wash and they hurt... more then the actual piercing. They went away with the sea salt. Make sure not to fiddle with it. I have braces so they did get caught but it really doesn't hurt to much. It's more of a sting when you get it pierced and that's the worst it will hurt from there forward if you take good care of it.
I found some good info here: http://www.safepiercing.org/piercing/oral-aftercare/

Lip Piercing is dried out...?

I've had my spider-bite lip piercing two months to the day. It is a little infected, but mostly it is just dried out around the piercing. This doesn't look so awesome. Any tips on how to get rid of the dry flaky skin around my piercing? is this normal?

PLEASE: Don't tell me how dumb young people are for getting metal shoved into their body, it's my body and if you don't like piercings don't get one. I want help, not your opinions.

Thanks! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Uneven lip piercings?

I got double labret piercings like 5 days ago and since I got them Ive noticed how crooked they are and I texted my piercer to let him know. Hes normally a great piercer who has won awards for piercing so he tried to tell me its just because theyre swollen, and because we hit a blood vessel... but and he said wait for the swelling to go down and come back in and he will fix them in 4 weeks when they're healed. Well one of them was like pierced at an angle and the flat back is digging into the back part of my lip, which is very painful for me. I want to know if I can take it out now and go get it redone elsewhere or should I just wait. I'd rather not have it digging in for another 3 weeks but I'd also rather not walk around with just one in because it will look really weird. What do you guys suggest. Here are some photos:

P.S. Sorry theyre sideways, also sorry you can sorta see up my nose.

What should I do if my lip piercing is swollen?

Lip piercings are prone to infection. The first thing you should do—but only if you can see both the front and back of whatever piece of jewelry or appliance you have in there—is to remove your jewelry or appliance. If the lip continues to swell, the tissue can actually grow over or envelop the ends—especially the one in your mouth, making it very difficult to remove later. A surgical removal is sometimes all that's possible, if that happens. If any pus or other material drains from the holes, allow it to flow freely. Don't stop it. Use warm compresses to help draw out the infection, and do warm salt water swish and spits. All that said, this is your face! Please see a doctor right away. If your piercing is infected—and it may be, even if you don't see pus, you will need antibiotics. Sometimes a pus pocket forms more deeply, and this would need to be lanced for healing to begin. It could even be an infected tooth that's causing the swelling. The same care and advice apply. This is why it's important that you see a doctor for a full evaluation and proper treatment right away. Diagnosing something like this properly online is not possible.

How much does a lip piercing hurt?

I hate to be that person, but I sure hope you’re talking about going to a professional with your parents signature and getting it done in a safe clean environment. If we’re talking about having a friend stab a kinda sharp object through your lip, stop right there. It’ll hurt more, take longer to heal, and get infected. Now that you’re done rolling your eyes at me, back to the answer. I had a Monroe piercing. It hurt but not as bad as I thought. It’s a little prick, then a sting, then some blood, and done. You have a lip piercing. You’ll first have to wear a swell bar before you can have any cool jewelry. A swell bar is an extra long labret bar. Your lip is going to swell up for a few weeks and normal sized jewelry can get lost and stuck inside a swollen lip. Don’t try eating anything right after your lip is pierced. Pro tip, be extra careful about biting down on your new piercing. It’ll take getting used to. And most importantly, keep it clean. Buy whatever cleaning fluid your piercer recommends and clean it often. Being in your mouth offers much more opportunity for infection. If I remember correctly, I think the pain and swelling totally stopped after a month and it scarred up around 6 months after that.I say my lip piercing hurt more than my nose piercing, my friend says the opposite. It’s really about your pain tolerance. I wouldn’t let the pain stop you. I’m so afraid of needles but I suffered through literally 60 seconds to have it done. Pain is temporary. Just please, I can’t stress enough, go to a tattoo shop and have a professional do it for you.
