Spinning Wheels Music Video

What is the song with sign spinning?

hey you by 311 is the song you are looking for.

What do the lyrics of this song mean? Spinning Wheel, by Blood Sweat & Tears.?

I'm not going to sit here and think of that complicated an answer.

Suffice it to say the song is talking about life. It's saying basically what goes around, comes around, what goes up, must come down. Life is like one big spinning wheel, where everything is chance, where she stops nobody knows.

The song describes things coming full circle, and repeating again. That's the way I look at it, I hope you care for my take on it.

Slot machines are now video games, with winning determined by electronic random number generators. In the old days,?

Let L = left reel, M = Middle reel and R = Right wheel

The probability of getting a bell on either of left or right reels = 1/20
Therefore the probability of NOT getting a bell on these reels = 1 - 1/20 = 19/20
The probability of getting a bell on the middle reel = 7/20
Therefore the probability of not getting a bell on the middle reel = 13/20

There are 3 ways to get any 2 bells
L + M ( + not R)
M + R (+ not L)
L + R (+ not M)
We now work out these probabilities individually and then add the probabilities together

LM(not R)= 1/20 * 7/20 * 19/20 (note you must multiply by 19/20 for reel R, as if you also get a bell there, then you will have all three bells rather than just two)
LM = 133/8000

RM(not L) also = 1/20 * 7/20 * 19/20 = 133/8000

LR(not M) = 1/20 * 1/20 * 13/20 (nb there are 13 non-bells in the middle reel)
LR = 13/8000

Therefore P(exactly two bells) = 133/8000 + 133/8000 + 13/8000 = 279/8000
= 0.034875
+ 0.0349 to 4 decimal places

Why do very fast-moving wheels seem to move in reverse?

Other answers have already alluded to the fact that this is due to something called the stroboscopic effect.In essence, it’s a sampling error — either in a recording device, or directly due to your eyes (although if it is due to your eyes, you need to be indoors under an artificial lamp)That’s because under these conditions “continuous motion” is, in essence an illusion.Every time you think you are seeing something in motion, what you are actually seeing is a series of still images played close enough together that your brain stitches them into a continuous scene.The stroboscopic effect occurs when an object’s motion coincides with the sampling rate.Consider, for a moment, that your recording device has a sampling rate of 20 frames per second. If you look at a fan blade that is rotating at 20 rotations a second — what do you see?Every single ‘image’ that your device record occurs exactly one rotation apart.Therefore, when you watch the video, your eye records the fan as being in the same place every time — which your brain stitches together into a still image. You cannot see the fan blade moving.If the fan blade were rotating at 19 rotations per second, each sample would record 19/20ths of a full rotation.Image 1 would be of the fan at 0 rotationImage 2 would be of the fan at 19/20th of a rotationImage 3 would be of the fan at 18/20th of a rotationAnd so on, and so forth — although the fan is rotating clockwise, you would see it rotating counterclockwise, because of the sampling error of your device!The error doesn’t have to be in your device, it can also be directly from your eyes.If you are indoors, under artificial light which is being driven by a single-phase AC current, there is an associated “flicker”. This acts to reproduce the same effect describe in your eyes.This can be a serious danger in industrial environments. If you have equipment rotating at frequencies comparable to the strobe frequency of your light source, a worker may not be able to observe the machinery in motion due to this effect.Any time you have repetitive motion and a sampling speed which comes close to integer multiples of each other, you will get this “sync error” appearing.I love this effect, for one very good reason, and it’s basically why I answered this question.I wanted to share this video:LOOK AT THAT HELICOPTER!

What's normal toddler behavior associated with spinning?

My 17 month old son is very affectionate, smiley, great eye contact, understands language- almost everything I say-and signs some words (he is not talking at all yet-just babbles and starts to sound out some words). I am worried about his small motor skills and his ability to play with some toys. He doesnt eat with a spoon yet without being helped with it. He also doesnt use his index finger to point, only his entire hand to gesture towards what he wants. He also spins his pacifier and our phone occasionally. He also sometimes spins the wheels on some of his toys. He never spins for more than a few seconds before he's onto something else. He also has just started to spin his body a little. My heart tells me its not autism b/c his affection, relationship with his loved ones and communication is so strong. His daily routine changes very frequently which also never bothers him. Does any of this sound normal. Can a child like spinning like this and not be autistic? Ive read a ton about this and I cant figure out if there is anything wrong with my son.

How can I film a rolling wheel and have the camera turn with the wheel at the same time?

Michel Gondry, a French film director, did this a number of years ago. I was able to find some of his footage on YouTube.The film is running backwards. Spin art is done by spinning a blank canvas or piece of paper at around 200 rpm, and dropping paint on the spinning canvas. I’ve seen spin art machines at State Fairs. What Gondry did is rig up a very complicated machine that spun the canvas below, and the camera above, to make the canvas appear motionless. The center of the lens must be a dead match to the center of the spinning wheel for the effect to work. You need to do a similar thing. Build it well, and the spinning wheel will appear motionless, and the background will be spinning. Good luck. This will be a difficult machine to build. I wish you success.I saw some footage of his spinning camera/canvas machine in a documentary about Gondry’s wonderful creative filmmaking techniques. I can heartily recommend every Michel Gondry film, especially his English language films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind starring Jim Carrey, the Science of Sleep, where this spin art footage was clipped from, and Be Kind Rewind. His music videos are stunning also. Gondry is a monumental film director.
