Splat Hair Dye Help Purple Desire

How to make Splat Purple Desire hair dye lighter?

So a few months ago I bought two boxes of Splat purple hair dye. My hair is naturally blonde, so I didn't bother bleaching it and used one box, wanting to save the other. Unfortunately, my hair's pretty thick, so there are a few strands [about 1/5 of my hair] that are still golden.

Otherwise, my hair has acheived a nice dark color. I have the second box, and I want it to be lighter, since most people dont even realize it's purple. I read online that mixing it with white conditioner should make it lighter.

How should I do this?

And please don't comment about how I'll never get a job, or that I'll kill my hair.

How do I remove Splat Purple Desire dye?

The underneath portion of my hair is purple, but I'm sick of it. I tried removing it with color oops but that did not work. Should I bleach it out? I need it gone asap. Please help!

How to get Splat hair dye out of my hair?

So over the past 2 years I've dyed my hair 4 times using splat. First time was with Lusty Lavender, I had bleached my natural black and it faded to pink, and I dyed over that with Purple Desire. The next dyes were just touchups where I plopped the dye right over the purple that was already there. So I've got 3-4 layers of purple on my hair. The last time I touched up my roots and dyed it was 7 months ago, and I want to try Manic Panic Enchanted Forest now, and stick with Manic Panic. A lot of the purple is still in my hair after all this time, and it's faded in different colors all around, some pink and some deep purple. How do I get the color out of my hair for a fresh start?? I've heard of vitamin c pills but I'm not sure it would work. I really want to avoid doing a bleach bath but if it comes down to it, I think I've rejuvenated my hair enough over the past 7 months to survive a little more damage.

How do you get rid of purple hair dye after the color has faded in your hair?

Ah! I've been there myself! Lol. As these beautiful fashion colors are a direct dye, they are heavily loaded with pigment. If you applied it to bleached hair (which is what creates those beautiful vibrant colors!) time is the best way. You could try a few shampoos with Dawn,as that is alkaline and MAY lift it a bit. Vinegar is actually acidic, and CLOSES the cuticle. These colors are not permanent, and will completely fade with time! I,however, faded from purple,to lavender, then my blonde looked slightly silver, then it was gone! So unless you want to go back to purple, just be patient,my friend!

How do you remove splat hair dye dye from your forehead?

I know this post is a little old, but I just dyed my hair with Splat today. The top of my head and the ends of my hair colored. The length part did not. I know I had plenty of coverage. My hair is very long so I use 2 bottles. I still have some left in a bottle, thinking about trying to dye the parts that didn't color again. But as for this question, shaving cream! I was covered in purple. The stuff is a mess. I had baby wipes, but could touch them with the dye covered gloves, mess all over. Had dye remover wipes, second I touched it it was covered in dye. Shampoo on a rag, same problem. So I said screw it and finished my hair. Dye all over me. Now it is still on the back of my neck, my poor ears have so much purple on them they look black, as in rotting flesh. When I finished dying my hair, I wanted to clean my skin. I said eh what the heck, and grabbed my shaving cream. Rubbed it on my forehead and the dye came right off. It wasnt really working on my arms other the back of my neck but my face and front of neck is clean. I used it to clean the little mess I made off the floor and wall too. And it smells good ;)

I am planning to dye my hair purple after bleaching it. Should I use a toner?

*sigh*This trend of using bleach and toner for any and every color of hair dye is sad.No, you don’t need toner. Toner is not a magic fix or cure all for a poor bleach job.Add in that most toners have a purple base to counteract the yellow in hair after bleaching, and you are simply using products you don’t need if you are also dyeing it purple. Or if you use a toning bleach that has a violet base, yes, such exists. And depending on the shade of purple and brand, you may not even need to bleach a lot(or at all).If you are planning this, make sure you get the right products. The right developer, the right bleach, the right dye. The quality and type of product matter.

Can my hair turn purple with splat if I don't bleach it?

Well, it all depends on how dark or light your hair is. If your hair is black or dark brown, there's a good chance the color might not show too brightly, possibly a reddish tint. If your hair is light brown to blond, it may take on a light purple/pinkish tint. It should last at least 2 weeks and then gradually start to fade to a duller shade. I'm glad you've decided not to bleach, for its immensely damaging and I hope the hair color works out for you just fine :)

Splat then manic panic hair dye?

I m going to be dying my hair, but I wanted to know of this would be an okay idea. I have my hair bleached already, but I wanted to dye my hair with Splat s purple desire and then put Manic Panic s Ultra Violet over it once the Splat is in and done. I wanted to do this so when it starts to fade it won t be all as bad. Can anyone help?

Splat Hair Color developer?

I bought a Splat hair dye kit which comes with the powdered bleach, developer, and color. I've used their kits before to dye my hair, but I hate the developer they give you to mix with the bleach. It's very watery and I don't think it lifts my color enough. Would I be able to mix the powdered bleach with 30 Vol cream developer from Ion instead, or would it not be as effective? I have a mixing bowl with measurements on the side, so I would obviously measure the amount of developer they give you, pour it back into the bottle, then use the same amount of cream developer. I was also curious about other's experience with Crimson Obsession by Splat. How long it stays in for, if it fades to a god awful color, etc. Thank you for any help you can provide c:
