I’m guessing you’re referring to American sports and the answer is simple: $$ dollah bills yo!Nhl, Nba, Nfl, they’re all more popular than the MLS and thus they get big contracts from Tv deals, sponsors, merchandise, etc. Meanwhile the MLS doesn’t get as big contracts and this they have to induce sponsors to pay more by showing their logos on their shirts.In Europe everyone has sponsors. Soccer clubs but also basketball (Armani Milano, for example) , baseball (Telemarket Rimini), etc.In the US its normal for the sponsors to name the stadiums (Staples Center in LA or the Quicken Loans arena in Cleveland) while in Europe it’s just starting to pick up.All it boils down to is income really.
