What are the best bike stores in Toronto?
A quick Google search should be enough to get an idea of what shops are near you (or your friend). Avoid big-box stores like Canadian Tire, Walmart, SportChek. They sell objects that look like bikes, but the staff are rarely experienced enough to guide you in which of their offerings will fit your style of riding (likely none of them), and the bike-shaped objects rarely stand up to the test of daily riding.Look for a locally-owned shop, staffed by cyclists and mechanics. Go out to the stores in person, talk to the staff about what you'll be using the bike for, how often you'll be riding, etc. Ask for their suggestions on what you should be riding.
Where can you use your Sport chek employee discount?
just got hired on but I don't really want to seem to forward in asking anymore questions about my discount as to not give off the wrong idea about my intentions. So my question to any Sport chek employee/ ex employee, can you use your employee discount online and at other Sport chek locations or are you strictly limited to using it at your home store?

The best bet is to have friends ask employees(include managers) while you observe their response. Experience is what you need on your resume. Please do not forget to practice for interviews as Wal Mart gives 3 depending on how many have applied. Also a cover letter will help a lot than those who just turn in a resume. GOOD LUCK
What kind of shoes should I consider buying as an international undergrad student in Alberta, Canada?
Under no circumstances buy shoes from India. Come to Alberta , deal with what you need to for your feet then buy shoes. If you have a low budget go to Walmart , high budget go to the sports store. You are about to get a surprise! It can be a little rough here sometimes but worth it. Get here , suffer , ask questions then buy….observe other people ….but besides the wool comment read my comment below and all will be explained. Don’t waste your money on anything.
