Standard Macbook Pro 13.3

Macbook Pro Vs. Macbook Air?

I'm planning on getting a new computer for my 16th birthday. The quality of the computer I own plays a huge role in my everyday life. I'm taking 9 classes this school year, I'm always going to big and small social events on the weekends AND I already have a job teaching a dance class. I'm extremely sick and tired of my Crappy HP laptop with stupid a$$ windows vista. I swear to God, there's always something wrong with it. All I want to do is be able to type my papers and be able to facebook and do my damn research on the internet without out getting a motherf*cking virus. It's always overheating, shutting down, updating and crashing. I've lost all of my pictures and documents before and I don't want it to happen again. So I've made the decision to switch to Mac.
1st question.. Are Macbooks really worth the price?? And will a macbook last longer than 2 years without it sh!tting all over me?
Secondly, The new macbook air literally just came out today, and it's cheaper than the macbook pro (13 inch) . Considering my lifestyle, do you think I should purchase a macbook pro or a macbook air?

Much thanks for reading all of this :-) Feedback is much appreciated.

Macbook Pro 13 inch or Macbook Air 13 inch?

Bottom line, the MacBook Pro is just the better computer. There's a reason it's called pro! The pro isn't all that much heavier than the air, so don't get the air... It's not as good as the pro and it's not significantly lighter. Pro can also handle more than the air. If a pro is too expensive for you, the air would still be a fine computer. Pro is just better. All laptops heat up to some extent, especially if it's laying against your legs instead of a table. I would assume it would still be better than a pc, though.

Macbook pro or macbook pro retina display?

so i decided to save my money for a apple laptop...
i'm wondering if i should get the normal pro or the one with retina...
there is a pretty big price difference..
it's either the------>normal 13-inch macbook pro with the better specs for 1500
or the------>15-inch macbook pro with retina display for 2200(the cheaper one)

it would take me some time longer to save for the retina display...
do i really need it? right now i only have a couple hundred saved soooo...yeah

please compare...

What should I know before buying an Apple MacBook Pro MD101 13.3" Notebook (non-retina)?

So......Being an Avid MBP user kindly find the below answers. Its all about the WOW factor. If you are impressed with the Retina (Hi-Res Display) go for the retina models. However there is a downside with all the latest MBP Retina & MBP AirNothing is upgradeable. Nothing is Serviceable. If you have a problem you have to take it to apple store where depending upon your warranty it will be repaired, fixed, replaced (the problematic area) (Free of cost within warranty and provided is a Manufacturer's issue and not your issue or fault). Advisable to buy Apple Care with allĀ  latest laptops.Apple MD101 - Honestly - Dont judge it by its cover.Processor - 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5Ram - Standard 4GB - Upgradeable to 16GB (Yes 16GB MAX, Mid 2012). (I upgraded mine to 10GB)Graphics - Intel HD 4000 - Fair to Good - for Gaming & amateur graphics applications.Storage - 500GB, 5400 RPM Drive - You can upgrade this with an SSD 6GBPS SATACDROM - For nostalgic purposes (kidding). For people who still use CD/DVD. Using a DATA Doubler you can swap out the drive and plug in another SSD 6GBPS SATAGood Serviceability. Running OSX Yosemite. Has all the bells & whistles (lan, USB, Thunderbolt, Mini-Display, SDXC Card slot). No Issues in running EL-CAPITAN. But EL-CAPITAN has bugs itself.I paid $1000 for the new laptop. I spent additional $400 (RAM, Data Doubler) on the upgrades. Purring like a kitten. I am happy. Handles heavy workload.Uploaded Pics of my laptop. Is a really good buy. I would definitely recommend it.Kingston is running on my CDROM drive slot using a Data Doubler.OWC is my primary drive swapped it out for the 500GB.

What size wallpaper is a 13 inch macbook pro?

That depends on your screen resolution. Your default resolution is 1280x800 pixels; therefor you should find an image for your wallpaper that is the same size.
