Star Wars Luke And Leia Before First Trilogy

Does the new trilogy ruin the story behind the first 6 Star Wars movies? Does it debunk the whole prophecy thing?

What do we know of the prophecy? That the Chosen One would be created by the midichlorians. He would bring balance to the Force. The Chosen One would destroy the Sith.Anakin Skywalker fulfilled every qualifier of the prophecy.Luke even says in the TLJ that, “There was indeed balance for a time” and it was broken when Ben turned to darkness. So no, there was no permanency to the balance, nor was that ever stated in the prophecy.Take a look at the Mortis Trilogy. The Father had maintained the balance for eons, but he was about to die. He tells Anakin that he needs to be replaced because the Force must be kept in balance. Too much light or dark would destroy life as it was known. But the Force could not permenantly be kept in balance if the choices of people took it out of balance. So no, the ST does not destroy the prophecy, similar with how midichlorins did not ruin the mystic nature of the Force.

Star wars question... about luke and leia?

Yes they do. The series that Markwillstar is thinking of is The Black Fleet Crisis trilogy but that turns out to be a lie to get Luke to help a character find her missing family.

The book series that they find out in is the Dark Nest trilogy. The book titles are: "The Joiner King", "The Unseen Queen", and "The Swarm War" ... they are set 29 years after the events of ep VI, Return Of The Jedi. If you remember in ep III, R2D2 was on Mustafar and he recorded a lot of what happened there. He was also there for their births and recorded that also. Also, if you remember, near the end of ep III Bail Organa has C3PO's memory wiped but not R2D2's. If fact R2 has never had a memory wipe. Not only do Luke and Leia learn who their mother was but they get to watch their own births, settling the "who was born first" question. They also get to see Anakin Force choke Padme and the beginning of the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan. The ironic part about it is that R2 actually fights them so as to not show them those recordings almost to the point of destroying himself to keep the secret. In the end Luke talks him into it and they get to see those things. In a lot of ways R2 is more "human" than many of the other characters in the books and movies.

May The Force Be With You ...

EDIT:

To "Gee" ... You've touched on one of the most hotly debated issues from ep III that seemed to be a contradiction to that scene in ROTJ when Leia says she remember a little about her mother. I will be the first to admit that I was one of the legions of fans who said WTF are you doing George. In the end Lucas has answered this question and while the explanation is a little on the "weak" side it does work. Leia's memories of her mother are Force generated. You got to remember that as the offspring of the Chosen One both Luke and Leia have the ability to become almost as powerful as their father had been. Destiny plays a role in this also, at least according to Lucas. When asked why Luke didn't have any Force generated memories Lucas said that the reason for that is that Luke was destine to be the "warrior" and Leia the "talker" ... don't quite know how that fits but I guess it makes sense in the "World of George"

.

Wouldn't you say that the prequel trilogy of Star Wars was a LOT better than the original movies?

I'm tired of all these Star Wars fans from the PAST talking about the original films. They weren't that good. The special effects looked like puppet shows. in fact when I made puppet shows as a kid, I made ones that looked better than Star Wars. So if a kid could outdo star wars than what makes you think prequels with wayyy better special effects can'ts?

My logic is undeniable on this. You cannot go against it. The prequels were better.

Star Wars or Star Trek?

Star Trek by far!!!

Ewoks??? Blue Elephants playing keyboards in Jabba's lair? psshhhhh

What was Luke Skywalkers name in the original script of Star Wars?

origonaly it was luke starkiller but that like many other names were changed. For example episode 6 was origonaly revenge of the jedi not return of the jedi it was changed because jedi do not take revenge, I believe it was a similar situation with lukes name

In Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back why does Yoda say 'there is another'?

Its when Luke is leaving the training of Yoda because he feels Han and Leia are in danger. Then the spirit of Obi-Wan says 'He is our last hope.' Then Yoda says something like 'No there is another.'
Who the heck is he talking about?!
