Starting A Small Business/ Business Plan/

Small business start up loan?

The business of lending is a dense one and should be researched properly. To get started, I suggest contacting the Small Business Administration (SBA). Entrepreneur also offers a great site dedicated to money & finance – see below for both.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the process. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* How to Get a Small Business Loan: A Banker Shows You Exactly What to Do to Get a Loan (Small Business Series, No 1) by Bryan E. Milling
* The SBA Loan Book: Get A Small Business Loan--even With Poor Credit, Weak Collateral, And No Experience by Charles H. Green
* The Insider's Guide to Small Business Loans by Dan M. Koehler

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I'm planning to start a small business and I'm on a tight budget. Can 100$ get me a decent website?

For $100 you should go with something like wix or squarespace, and build your site yourself using their tools. Those services typically cost between $10 and $60 per month, it will get you by for awhile but as your business grows you may have needs your site won't be able to fullfill and you'll need to switch away to another platform. For $100 you cannot afford to hire a web developer that is worthwhile to build you anything worthwhile. The most a developer might do for you is install wordpress on a server they own and put a free stock theme on it and tell you that you get what you get. Then ask you to host with them as its the only way they will actually profit from building your site.To put it into perspective, most web developers billable rates are around $100 an hour. It takes more than 1 hour to produce a website that is going to really drive your business.A good budget for a website would really be $1,000+1,000 will get you a basic brochure site and you may have to do some of the work yourself like copywriting and editing pages. The more money you can throw at it the better your site can be.Really though once you've saved or raised money for the website it's a good idea to sit down and talk with a web developer. Tell them about your business, tell them what you think you need and why. Good webdevelopers will then tell you what you actually need and what will make the most sense for your company. We're not here to rip you off, we're not going to sell you on something that doesnt make sense for you. See we make money through hosting and maintenance contracts a lot of the time. We want to work with you long term. The actual build out of the site we dont typically make a ton off of. If your business goes under after we make your site, we lose out because you will cancel your hosting and maintenance contracts. You won't want redesigns or upgrades.Website hosting typically costs between $9 and $45 per month. The cost is based on the resources that are dedicated to your website, and any services the host may provide with your hosting.Domain names are typically about $12 per year but some TLDs cost more than others.

I would like to start a small business in Maldives and i would like an investor or an business partner.?

I would like to start an business in Maldives and My main focus right now is getting an investor or an business partner. I'm thinking about stating a Fro-yo company much like that of Pink Berry and Red Mango and how I can offer everything the same as the big companies, but at minimal build out expenses. There isn't any froyo shops here in Maldives. And i know that people from here will love it. This shop will be located in the capital of Maldives, in Male' where the most tourists visit from all around the world too.
