No, in a basic sense, games will not harm your PC. A game containing a virus is highly unlikely if you get your games from a trustworthy source such as Steam and generally viruses/malware won’t physically harm your computer anyway - just your data.In a more complicated sense, games will often put more load on a PC than general usage resulting in components getting hotter than normal. Over time, excessive heat will damage parts although this is easily avoided by upgrading your cooling. Gaming may also put more load on your hard drive, potentially slightly lowering it’s lifespan too.

I was on ListentoYoutube trying to get a MP3, and as some people have reported it sometimes downloads a ".mp3.exe". I cancelled this as soon as it started to download. It is a trojan horse. ESET somehow detected it even though it was never actually put on my computer, and it said it removed it, cleaned it and the such. However, how can I be for SURE it was removed? I really hope this doesn't get a virus, as this is a school-owned computer. Please help!

I got steam and different games like Gmod etc. I ran my virus protector and it said steam was giving me a trojan virus. I also had a friend and they said it gave them the same thing as me. There was a form about this website on Reddit ,one of which said that this website contains a Bitcoin virus which is very hard to detect,it basically becomes actives when you are not using your device(like 5 am in the morning).This virus basically collects bitcoins which makes your PC/laptop’s performance slow.And their help installation video tells us to turn off antivirus during download as it could corrupt some files which sounded pretty fishy to me.When people tried to discuss about this with te website developer,there was no response from him.Source:Reddit and YouTube
