Is the alienware steam machine worth it?
steam machine is a bad idea, also, yes, you can connect to a monitor, TV, or any screen with HDMI input capabilities. IF it doesnt have hdmi, you can probably get some kind of adapter for it though.
Alienware Alpha/ Alienware Steam Machine?
I have a couple of questions: 1) Do any of these consoles have to be connected to your computer? 2) If you have a Steam game that won't run on your computer will it run on the console? 3) Are both of these consoles connected to Steam and allow you to play your PC games on it? 4) What is the difference between both consoles and which would serve better as a gaming console?
What advantages did steam-powered machinery have over water-powered machinery?
It is very difficult to produce a continuous smooth motion with water power because rivers and streams are affected by rises and falls in level and surges in power. Steam engines require water to run (to produce the steam) but they do not need continuous running water so they can be positioned almost anywhere. Steam engines, especially when using a condenser, are far more powerful than water, able to lift more over greater distances in less time.
