I'm looking for new bands to listen to?
Okay so it sounds like you listen to some pretty good music! I personally love Jimmy Eat World, Guns N Roses, and I like MCR, Metallica, and The Pretty Reckless. I'll start off with Guns N Roses - Slash loved Areosmith, I believe they are his favorite band. Their self titled debut LP is pretty awesome. GNR also draws a lot of influence from Led Zeppelin. I'd recommend their albums "Led Zeppelin I" and "Led Zeppelin IV", but honestly all their albums are good. Also sounds like you like some emo music. AFI is a really good emo band, especially their albums "The Art of Drowning" and "Sing the Sorrow". Interesting fact, both AFI and MCR draw heavy influence from David Bowie, one of the greatest rockers of all time. His albums "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust" and "Hunky Dory" are essential to any musical experience. I'm also gonna say you should try some Radiohead. Their albums "The Bends" and "OK Computer" are pretty accessible, although I'd have to say their masterpiece is "Kid A". Not the easiest album to listen to at first, but without a doubt one of the greatest albums produced within the last 20 years. You should also give the White Stripes a listen, "Elephant" is a masterpiece. Finally some heavy metal. Black Sabbath are often considered the founders of heavy metal, and are a fantastic band. "Paranoid", "After Forever" and their debut self-titled LP are all fantastic. Also give Ozzy Osbourne a listen. "Blizzard of Oz" is a must. Hope this helps!
