I have an ATI graphics card I can't identify

Haha yeah the red PCB doesnt give us much. If you had known nothing I would have said "It is an ATI card of some sorts" (Most Nvidia makers prefer Blue, Black, or Green PCB to avoid it matching the ATI logo.)

Anyway I believe that number corresponds to an ATI Radeon X300 card. I can't be sure but I have a utility to help you out.

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/Sys...

go to this website and download the GPU-Z utility. Run it and it should give you all you ever wanted to know and then some about your graphics card. It can find clock speed, memory speed, amount of memory, pipelines, etc. Its really an awesome little tool. Good luck!!

My laptop came without an Nvidia Graphics card sticker on it,what should I do now?

If by using software like gpu-z, you confirm that the laptop has a non nvidia video card then there may be issues such as false or misleading advertising if you were led to believe otherwise. If however, there was no problem with the advertising then you just got a laptop without an nvidia video card. Unless its a more powerful variant of an AMD video card its going to be slightly less optimal for graphically intensive games. Only amd and nvidia make good powerful graphics cards. If it doesnt have nvidia or amd then it most likely has an intel cpu with an intel built in graphics card inside the cpu itself. These are usually inferior to nvidia or amd graphics cards of the same time period.

Can I upgrade my acer Aspire 5515 graphics card?

I tried calling acer customer support, but honestly they should put a sticker on their computers that says "Don't call us without money" because thats the only way I'd be able to get ahold of them to ask. Thanks in advance :)

How do I find out if my graphics card has been integrated and is dedicated?

Well, if you running your device on Windows OS, it could be easily done. You have to download system information app for your laptop or PC.At the top of and open source, you can downloadCPU-ZIt'll give you all information about your system once you've installed it.OrIf your system has installed directx,You can simply run a command in windows using SUPER KEY + Rthen it'll prompt a box with command input field.Type in dxdiag in command input field. After that, it'll prompt big box with multiple tabs where on each tab you can see system information. In between one of those tabs, there's tab named graphics. There you can see all your graphics card related information.

Is Macbook the only laptop without core and graphic card stickers beside their trackpad?

I’ve never seen or known Apple to do that. They don’t seem to care to tell users what’s really in their products. Their fan-boys [girls] will buy their product regardless; there’s no competition in their segment, Macs that is. Much more in the, so called, PC side [really they are all PCs] which is why the manufacturers of those products add those stickers, so you know what’s exactly in their equipment. Does it bother you that they [Apple] don’t? or why do you care?

How do I check if my laptop is using a graphics card?

There are multiple ways. Simplest would be to look at the model and submodel sticker (usually underneath the laptop) and search the manufacturer website for specifications. In Windows you can run the command 'dxdiag', which can give you useful hardware and software info.https://support.microsoft.com/en...There are other methods, but these should be your go-to; if the sticker is missing DXDiag SHOULD have the answer.

Why does it show that I have an Intel HD graphic card in device manager, but on the sticker on my laptop it shows that I have a Geforce 840m? Could I have both?

Hi, You could have both…The Intel HD graphics is built into the motherboard, and provides a basic graphics processor, the GeForce 840m would be an add on graphics card that would give improved performance. If you do have the GeForce card installed but not showing in device manager, it may be because it has not had the software and drivers installed.Try looking up the specs on your computer from the factory web site and see what it says it should have. You should be able to download the software and drivers for the card there as well.If not try the Nvidia web site.I'm pretty sure that if you try and install the software and the card isn't there you will get a message something like, “Device Not Found” so if all else fails you can try that. You should be using the GeForce card if you have one.GeForce 840M Dedicated Graphics for Laptops

Is graphics card really required for a college student?

As diplomatic as it may sound, it still depends on what kind of course or curriculum the student is into.I was doing my B.tech in computer science when I bought my Lenovo Z50-70 which had a modest 4 GB Nvidia 840m.I used to do some light gaming on it at 720p high to medium settings. The GPU was enough for some Counter Strike competitive sessions too.As I progressed further in my course I came to know about various animation and 3D modelling tools. Among all of them my personal favourite was Blender which can benefit heavily from a GPU. Believe me, the GPU is a must have when you are rendering 4k frames in Blender, it saves a lot of time over CPU rendering.I also used Unity 3D extensively on my system and the GPU makes viewport navigation a breeze. I learnt a lot by using these amazing tools and software. Now just imagine if my laptop didn't have a GPU. I might have never even cared about learning let alone using these technologies in the first place. You may go for a laptop without a GPU and that's perfectly fine since it will be enough for your daily tasks. But having a GPU will certainly help if want to learn something entirely different from your curriculum.PS: You can even train complex deep learning models using Nvidia GPUs.I hope this answers your question and for more info on computers do check out Dexvil - Latest Trends In Computers, Smartphones, Graphic Cards, Movies, TV Shows & MoreThank You.
