Sticky saliva in throat after eating?
Its been happening for probably 2 or 3 years now. Everytime after I eat I always to clear my throat because there'd be some sticky saliva in it. Its very bothersome and im pretty sure that it's not normal. It can't be allergies either because allergies come and go but this problem has been here for a long time now. It doesn't really even matter what I eat, i get that sticky saliva regardless and it takes a good minute or two before I can finally clear it out because the first or two attempted swallows never actually swallows it down. Is there some wrong with my throat? I feel like there is, but i can almost guess that the doctor will look at it as just allergies and give me that same old "ahh there's nothing wrong with you, you're just like any other young healthy kid". Sigh* if only it were so
Mucus in my throat after eating stuff?
For some reason I keep on getting a sticky thing in my throat that looks like mucus after I eat or drink something. After I finish drinking a caprisun, I would get mucus on my throat and I would have to spit it out. Any ideas why this happening? I went to the doctors and they said I don't have any throat infections.
I have throat pain while swallowing saliva. Why is it happening? What are the remedies?
So I have had swollen/sore tonsils and soft palate for 4 days now. I went to the doctor yesterday who advised rest and fluid, which is what I have been doing for the past few days. It does not seem to be getting any better, in fact on Day 1 it was a mild sore throat, and by Day 2 throat pain had gone away but the tonsils become very sore, so much so that it hurts to swallow saliva. On Thursday, I was shouting a lot and I inhaled some really bad firework smoke, it burned a little at the time. When I went to the doctor yesterday, they said my strep test was negative. My question is what should I do? Nothing seems to be working and I'm in such pain that I am missing work. I do not seem to have any other symptoms other than being tired. I have been sleeping and napping, but everytime I wake up it seems to be worse. Any advice?
I feel adhesive and sticky phlegm in my throat?
I am 28 years old and it's 2 year i have god this problem while i came to Dubai. This problem appears especially during the night while i go to be and the time i am free of work. Some thing like adhesive sticky phlegm comes to my throat i try to sallow it by Mouth water it comes again and again. I have visited many doctor even i have washed my nose in a hospital, but it was not useful i always gargle my throat by salt what to do please direct me it really disturb me
Why is my saliva sometimes very sticky?
You're probably a little dehydrated and perhaps have eaten too many sugars, try drinking more water and less fizzy drinks/cordial/fruit juice. Your skin will love you for it!
Mouth - saliva glands - food stuck in?
You had a blocked saliva gland that's all. It is very common and it has nothing to do with being clean or anything else. This is where your saliva comes out of and food gets into it. Normally the pain you get comes from the area of the hole itself because the saliva blocks up behind the plug of food and makes it very hard and pea sized. If it hadn't swollen up yet there would be no reason for your doctor to notice because he was looking for a sore throat not a blocked saliva gland. You could have it happen again or never have it happen again. Just be glad you got it all out before it did get really blocked and sore.
