Stomach Bloating Issues

Stomach bloating/issues when i sleep with air conditioner on?

Hello ----- I am having a peculiar issue of late-whenever i sleep with the airconditioner on, throughout the night. My stomach is bloated when i wake up in the morning, and my bowel movement is not good. Infact, when i sleep throughout the night with airconditioner on, my bowel movement is almost absent. After that, during the day my stomach is bloated, and i feel very uneasy.

Kindly suggest me a remedy.

I have to travel 2 hours to reach my home, and its very hot in my place. The airconditioner is necessary, otherwise i have disturbed sleep.

Bloating, Stomach Pains, Gas?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (gastroenterologist), for consultation. Bloating, burping and passing gas are natural and are usually caused by swallowed air or the breakdown of food through digestion. You may experience gas and gas pains only occasionally or repeatedly in a single day. When gas and gas pains interfere with your daily activities, it may be an indication of something serious. When gas doesn't pass through belching or flatulence, it can build up in the stomach and intestines and lead to bloating. Bloating is often accompanied by abdominal pain--either mild and dull or sharp and intense. Passing gas or having a bowel movement may relieve the pain.

Acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can have the same effect. If stomach acid backs up into your esophagus, you may swallow repeatedly to clear the material. This can lead to swallowing more air and further belching.

Some people swallow air as a nervous habit--even when they're not eating or drinking. In other cases, chronic belching is related to inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), peptic ulcer disease or delayed stomach emptying (gastroparesis).

Swallowed air can also produce a small amount of gas. It may help to eat more slowly, chew with your mouth closed, and avoid gulping food. Over-the-counter remedies such as simethicone (Gas-X, Mylanta Gas Relief) and charcoal tablets are not usually very helpful.

See a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

I hope this helps you. And good luck.

Sounds like an intolerance or allergy.SEE A DOCTOR

Try a simethicone product like Mylicon. Stay away from soda. Eat slowly and don’t talk while you are eating. Smoking also causes air swallowing. Tums doesn’t work specifically on gas.If you are having excess gas in the intestines you may want to have yourself checked for Celiac disease, eat small amounts of cruciferous veggies and stay away from beer. Ask your family about lactose sensitivities, Arabs, Jews, Blacks, and Asians are particularly prone to lactase deficiency. My husband gets potatoes and popcorn farts, and beans. Beware of hummus and beany food too!

Hey guys,I’ve been experiencing chronic bloating for nearly a year a now but guess what? I found this life saving video by a great nutritionist that helped me: How To Get Rid of Bloating: Scientific EvidenceBefore this I tried taking lots of different probiotics, special diets, visited a few naturopaths and many doctors and basically did everything under the sun. Unfortunately, none of those really helped. Great thing I found her video and it's indeed life changing. Hope it helps you too!!! :)

I’ve written a whole article about whey protein which you may find interesting:Whey Protein: Do you need it?In regards to the bloating - a number of issues can be associated with a high protein diet in general, not just necessarily whey protein. Major ones include…Gastrointestinal distress: bloating, increased bowel movements, crampsNauseaIncreased thirstFatigueHeadaches (maybe due to ‘hidden’ MSG in some cheaper whey supplementsKetosis if coupled with little to no carbohydrates in the dietIncreased risk of kidney stonesThese ‘side effects’ are cited and referenced in the original article. They are also considered fairly rare. You may always want to check out your lactose tolerance - Some whey proteins contain lots of lactose, which numerous people are sensitive to and can cause gastric distress. Other whey proteins (hydrosylates) are designed to have very minimal lactose. Most people who report bloating or stomach problems with whey protein find that the symptoms resolve after only a few days so you may want to stick with it. If it continues I would discountine use and/or have a chat with a doctor. All the best

These two symptoms are mutually exclusive, and could mean a variety of things from minor viruses to something else.If you are ever concerned with your health, your best bet is to see you GP.Hope this helps!

Ginger helps aid in digestion so ginger tea is good for stomach problems. Also another good thing for your tummy is peppermint. You can use either peppermint candy, peppermint leaves, peppermint tea etc etc. I just recently had some stomach problems of my own and once I drank one glass of peppermint tea my stomach cleared up. Sometimes people have upset stomaches because of bacteria in the digestive system. You can try to take acidophilus and that will help balance the bacteria in your stomach. You can get it over the counter at most pharmacies. If all of that fails then you can try to take Axid AR. It's helped me tremendously when I have a stomach ulcer that flairs up. I would recommend that you try to natural stuff first because Axid cuts off the acid supply to your stomach and can make digestion take longer. Best of luck.

Could be a million things; all I can do is tell you what happened to work for me, which is an important thing to tell, because doctors haven't really got it yet that a lot of people can't really digest wheat. I was one of those people who takes Prevacid or Prilosec every day and carries around Tums and is still in pain every day, sometimes incapacitating pain. My cousin has always had the same thing; we inherited it from our grandfather. I've spent thousands and thousands on prescriptions, doctor's appointments, scopies of one kind or another, tests... no doctor ever told me to try to stop eating wheat gluten, but someone did tell my cousin that. They put her on an elimination diet, and when they eliminated wheat gluten, her symptoms disappeared. I knew it would work for me, and now it has been about five months, I've been symptom free. Wheat gluten is actually an adaptation "designed" to be undigestible so the plant can reproduce. Most people don't have serious problems with it, but it isn't the easiest thing for human guts to deal with. But for some people, it is a serious problem. So try elimination diets. Try going gluten-free. Try dairy-free. But as I said, could be a lot of things.

I had IBS issues, leaky gut and inflammation and wasn’t eating apples cuz they were not allowed on the FODMAPs list. Whole apples made me feel bloated but the stewed apples she talks about in this video were way easier to digest and barely gave me any symptoms. They also made my stomach feel nice after - not sure how to describe it, but it was good. I’ve used them for a few weeks in my daily routine with a combination of my supplements and definitely notice a difference from this recipe in my bloating and energy. My symptoms are a lot better now and it’s super healthy too! I recommend to try it at home if you have gut issues. Nothing to lose :)Feel free to check out the video here: Improve Gut Health and Reduce Inflammation: All-Natural Recipe
