Stomach Flu What Can I Eat

What else can I eat with the stomach flu?

I've been sick with the stomach flu for about three days now. All I have been able to keep down is 7UP, applesauce, jell-o, and bananas. I get sick everytime I eat chicken noodle soup, and when I thought I was all better I tried easy-mac, but ended up throwing all of that up later. I did partially hold down a small piece of sub sandwich, though? Is it possible that I'm just not ready for pastas yet, because I heard they're heavy on your stomach? If so, what other foods are safe to try?

sorry if this is a stupid question.. I'm just really tired of throwing up. Every muscle in my stomach and neck hurt.

What Fruit can I eat while I have the stomach flu?

What I'd try is anything that's not too painful if you guess wrong, so nothing too acid-y or grainy. If the other food is staying down, the fruit should be OK too. It's got fiber, so it'll make you poop some extra, regardless, but that's not evil. Bannanas are classic because they have a soothing texture. I like peaches (canned are pretty harmless) and grapes (and obviously don't swallow the seeds if they are seeded grapes, and find ones with tender skin, or skin you can slip off as you eat them). I'd avoid citrus and kiwi and lots of watermelon, and also avoid anything that normally makes you burp or makes you bloat. Regular melon is OK in moderation. Sweet potato isn't a fruit, but it's got a lot of good vitamins (and also fiber). Chew the fruit, instead of just kinda letting it slip down. And if you're not sure, you can stew the fruit so it is easier to digest.

Can u eat candy while u have the stomach flu?

I am not a doctor, but I personally don't think having a stomach flu should keep you from eating what you want. A stomach flu is a virus that you just have to let the process work itself out. If you feel good enough to eat candy then by all means, you should eat candy.

Getting over the stomach flu, what should I eat?

So from 12am-4:30am the night before last night I couldn't stop puking up my guts and yesterday I wasn't able to drink more than two cans of ginger ale and eat a pack of four soup crackers. Today I'm much better, and I am actually able to type and ask you guys for some tips. I ate three small pancakes with some milk and just a dab of maple syrup on each. That made me feel so so. What are some suggestions of things I should be eating? Because I don't want to be puking my guts out again.

Can I get stomach flu twice?

Gastroenteritis is not the same as influenza and may have many different causes. Vomiting or diarrhea is often caused by contaminated food or a viral illness. It is unlikely you would get the exact same viral illness in close succession, but if your digestive integrity is compromised, it is more susceptible to pathogenic microbes in general making your immune system compromised.Over 80% of our immune system can be attributed to our gut/digestive health so I would focus on addressing diet changes and replenishing beneficial bacteria (probiotics) so you can decrease the chances of future illness.

Is it okay to eat pho when you have the stomach flu?

If you can keep it down? Sure. “Hot broth and noodles and foods that are gentle on the stomach” is perfectly fine. I wouldn’t go for spicy pho when you’re nauseous, though; that’s going to be a bit rough on your system.

When can I eat pizza after the stomach flu?

I've been getting over the stomach flu. I haven't vomited in about 57 hours. My symptoms have gone away (I thought I still had some, but it's just because "that time of the month" just started).

My mom brought home pizza. Is it going to be okay to eat it? I think the worst part of the bug is over, like vomiting and stuff, so is it alright?

Is it OK to eat ramen when you have the stomach flu?

Whenever you have gastroenteritis for any reason, your digestive lining is irritated and needs a rest to heal and deal with the infection if there is one. Best bet is to start with clear liquids and see how that goes. Next step if clear liquids work ok is to slowly introduce Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast (BRAT).BRAT isn’t gospel, though— these are just foods most people find easy to digest, but maybe you don’t find that, and there’s another food item you find works well and is comforting. If ramen is on that list for you, then by all means try a bit and see how it goes.Generally it’s better to stay away from foods high in fat or protein, as most people find these the most challenging to digest. Avoid eating too much, and don’t feel you need to eat when you don’t feel like it— you won’t starve in the short term, as most people’s bodies have a significant reservoir of stored food energy to tide them over for a few days.
