Straight Women Are You More Attracted To Men With Feminine Faces And No Facial Hair Or Men With

As a straight guy, why am I sometimes attracted to feminine-looking guys?

Question answered: As a straight guy, why am I sometimes attracted to feminine-looking guys? I am a straight guy who has always dated women exclusively, however I am also sometimes attracted to men who have features that remind me of women. Things such as thin body, smooth and shapely legs, feminine face, long hair etc. What could be the reason for this? This is easy to explain, and it is VERY common. As a starting point, let me ask you a question:What is a typical straight guy physically attracted to in a woman? He’s attracted to her breasts, her longer hair, soft skin, hairless legs, round bottom, high heel shoes, her facial features enhanced by makeup, her fragrance, accessories (scarves, handbags, jewelry, etc.) and the way she walks and carries herself in public - her body language. All of these are gender cues, and what I would describe as “the beacons of femininity”.All of this contributes to the outward appearance of a stereotypical female. Although this is admittedly a broad generalization, it’s a proven one:Most heterosexual guys are attracted to the outward signs of femininity. This - by the way - is one of the reasons male crossdressers choose to emulate a woman’s appearance. The same gender cues are attractive to crossdressers too. And even better yet if you see these images when you look in the mirror.Heterosexual guys know intellectually that feminine-looking guys aren’t women, but when all the female gender markers are expressed - regardless of who’s expressing them - then physical attraction literally becomes a no-brainer.The thin body, smooth and shapely legs, feminine face, and long hair that appeals to you in women is - for many guys - also appealing in men even if it’s only an unconscious attraction.Consider these feminine attributes “triggers of arousal” if you will. When enough of them are right in front of you at the same time, your body reacts as if you’re looking at an attractive woman — even though you are technically looking at a guy.

Women, do you find long haired men with feminine looking faces attractive?

It's a trait of human (or feminine) nature, but perhaps not so surprising really, that our eye is drawn to symmetry. Whether a face is feminine, or not, probably depends on the viewer. Most humans love to gaze on a face that's attractive, especially a pretty woman's face, or a rounded, glowing child's face.Except for defined adult cheekbones, so beloved of models and photographers, children have the attributes women try to achieve with cosmetics; the hues and shading of a more childlike, feminine face. The female face is generally softer, rounder, smoother - comparable to a child's face.We like lips that are full, sensuous; curving shadowed cheeks, deep set eyes, perhaps bigger than average, framed by long eyelashes. An unfair aspect of nature, and which seems to be ubiquitous, is the fact that so many men have the long, full eyelashes that women would kill for, but must depend on cosmetics to achieve. Many women have a fascination with long hair, as do many men. If it's worn up, they like to see it fall down; if it's clean, shining, and soft, they like to run their fingers through it. If it falls over the forehead and eyes, they like to brush it back into place with an affectionate gesture. Some people think girls love horses for sensual reasons; sitting astride a broad back and nestled in a saddle. I think they feel a strong attraction to a horse's mane. They love to brush the mane and tail until they glisten like glass.Offhand, I can think of two men with long(ish) hair and feminine faces that women love to look at; one is Prince, who wore eye makeup, and the other is Johnny Depp as a pirate, who also wore eye makeup.

Are most women attracted to men with overly masculine faces, overly feminine faces, or in-between? What influences their preference?

The predominant view in psychological literature is that women prefer more masculine faces, as well as the scents of more symmetrical males, but only during the most fertile part of the menstrual cycle (see Preferences for variation in masculinity in real male faces change across the menstrual cycle: Women prefer more masculine faces when they are more fertile symmetry and attractiveness). There is also evidence that both sexes find more feminine and neotenous (young looking) faces more pleasant most of the time:  "Increasing masculinity was found to decrease perceptions of co-operation, honesty, and parental ability, whereas feminization increased the attribution of these traits" -(Page on stir.ac.uk).Despite the fact that these are currently the most widely accepted positions, I would caution against taking them at face value. It can often be more illuminating to look at opposing positions and see if you can deconstruct them, instead of just taking the most widely believed view for the truth.  Here are a few papers by CR Harris et al, that argue that there is not good evidence for a preference for masculinity:-Shifts in Masculinity Preferences Across the Menstrual Cycle: Still Not There. -Humans, Deer, and Sea Dragons: How Evolutionary Psychology Has Misconstrued Human Sex Differences-Shifts in Methodology and Theory in Menstrual Cycle Research on AttractionHere is a meta analysis that sides with Harris:Meta-Analysis of Menstrual Cycle Effects on Women’s Mate PreferencesThis article also describes a Decline effect in studies that find preference for masculinity. I personally think that the evidence for a preference for masculinity independent from overall attractiveness is weak, and that this area of research is a great example of why the scientific method needs to be continually improved with stricter and better documented research methods. The reality is that peer reviewed papers are not held to high standards and type one errors (false positives) are very pervasive. To give an idea of the scope of the problem, it is estimated that a majority of peer reviewed medical studies are wrong: Lies, Damned Lies, and Medical ScienceSee also:Scientific method: Statistical errors

Are most men physically attracted to women with youthful faces, small chins, small noses with babyish traits or baby faces?

Well yes, but not because they are pedophiles, but because evolutionarily, these people have greater potential to develop into more advanced human beings.

Its due to that ability to develop more which makes men more attracted to them, as they are more evolved.

Asian women have youthful looking faces and are the most neonatal looking. With faces that looks more childish than any other race.

Of course not all Asian women look like that. But the Asian race looks the most neonatal out of any other race with Asian men looking the most feminine.

"The Mongoloid skull has proceeded further than in any other people", "The Mongoloid skull, whether Chinese or Japanese, has been rather more neotenized than the Caucasoid or European" and "The female skull, it will be noted, is more pedomorphic in all human populations than the male skull". In his list of "[n]eotenous structural traits in which Mongoloids... differ from Caucasoids", Montagu lists "Larger brain, larger braincase, broader skull, broader face, flat roof of the nose, inner eye fold, more protuberant eyes, lack of brow ridges, greater delicacy of bones, shallow mandibular fossa, small mastoid processes, stocky build, persistence of thymus gland into adult life, persistence of juvenile form of zygomatic muscle, persistence of juvenile form of superior lip muscle, later eruption of full dentition (except second and third molars), less hairy, fewer sweat glands, fewer hairs per square centimeter [and] long torso".

"Mongoloid anatomical changes could be explained by the phenomenon of neoteny, whereby an infantile or childlike body form is preserved in adult life. Neoteny in hominids is still one of the simplest explanations of how we developed a disproportionately large brain so rapidly over the past few million years. "

Their heads are also the biggest.

Its not that men are pedophiles. Its just that many men have the drive to make their genes the best, and they can reach humanity's potential by mating with more neonatal looking women.

Why are girls attracted to guys with feminine baby faces ?

The kind of people that are attractive to the opposite sex seems to change with time, it's like a fashion. Twenty or so years ago women were into dark, rugged, strong men, but for some reason that's changed and the fashion is now for pale, feminine, baby-faced guys.

This works the other way around too. These days many guys prefer brunettes, when it used to be all about blondes, and once upon a time very curvy was sexy, but most guys now prefer slim girls.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. There will always be girls and guys who have their own mind on what they find attractive, and are not affected by trends. Yes, some women will prefer the boyish look, but plenty more do still go for ruggedly handsome guys. Fortunately this group seems to get bigger the older you get.

What's With Straight Women Saying The Female Body Is More Beautiful And That The Male Body Isn't?

Pete C has a point. There is a lot of emphasis on female beauty and their "sexiness" so much that this influences girls from an early age into obsessing about the female body. Even though they like men, we are basically trained to see feminine beauty as delicate and to be special. Ask any person.

I'm a straight female and I've never said anything like that. Because I don't find it to be true from my opinion. The male body to me if it's properly taken care of (even with body hair if it's not too much) is a very wonderful, beautiful thing to look at. Why would I think the female body is better or more beautiful? I have a female body and I don't see anything interesting about it to be honest. The skin can get dry, we have to shave off our body hair frequently, we get pimples and acne, when we work out there are certain parts that sweat and stink. Just like any other human body. It can be good but if not taken care of it can be disgusting.

I think women who say are actually women who seem to want to put the female gender on a pedestal. Not necessarily feminists, I'm a feminist and as I said above I don't do that. But certain women feel the need to put emphasis on female beauty and they're help by the media, fashion industry, and countless magazines that focuses on women.

Why do Straight girlsl ike Feminine guys?

I am a bisexual female, much prefer women though, and I love feminine guys. But I know I love feminine guys because I am bisexual and like femininity. which is weird because I had a bloodtest done and my doctor said I had wayyy too much estrogen so I thought that i should prefer masculine guys but I don't.

All of my female cousins go crazy over feminine guys. They all love Justin bieber or the boys of one direction.

if you look at even history, Elvis Presley was feminine looking, he had a feminine face shape, full cheeks, pretty blue eyes and nice clean cut hair. and Girls lovedd him, then the more masculine men like johnny cash girls didn't really like.

Justin Bieber is SO feminine, he has all feminine features, he actually looks like a girl with a hair cut.

I was out the over day at starbucks and these two lesbians were kissing, and one looked exactly like justin bieber, the other was feminine and literally looked like a blonde porn star with fake breasts lol, I know so many lesbians who could pass for justin bieber yet "straight" girls loovveee him. But its funny, because not many girls like masculine men like Vin Disel (sp?), thats who id describe as real masculine.
I've been noticing lately that the more feminine a guy is the more girls love him, even in school i see this.
I thought girls wanted a masculine looking guy to protect them, like natural cave men who were to hunt for food for mother and baby, nature seems that way? imagine justin beiber hunting for food lol

anyone else confused by this or is it just me?

Straight women, what do you love about masculine men?

This

"I can bet you that you will not find such a type of man useful in long term".

Was very telling

and this

"For the record, I think culture and media have made you inclined to such types of men...."

is projection, its culture and media that is promoting the sort of men you favour and depicting masculine men in the way you are.

Do gay men generally find the same features attractive in men as women do?

In terms of physical traits, I think that largely they are similar with a few major distinctions:I. There seems to be a certain amount of fetishism in a significant segment of gay men that I don’t see in women. Just judging by the “type of guy sought” on gay dating sites, some gay men focus on one or a narrow “phenotype” in potential partners. Common search terms include:Bears - hairy, overweight men, with facial hairGym bunnies - hairless or shaved, trim muscled torsos, preferably under 35.Clones - men with mustaches and facial hairRacial segments: Black (BBC), White, Latino, Asian etc. (although some women also specify this category)Daddies - men over 40 interested in younger gay men; body shape may or may not be importantSilver Daddies - men over 60 sought by younger menChubs - severely obese menHung - Some even specify the lower limits of endowment they want!SM - This group associates leather paraphernalia with sexual arousal.Twinks - young gays, preferably hairless with boyish bodies.II. Gay men often don’t factor in wealth, profession or social power in choosing a sexual mate. You OFTEN see beautiful women with unattractive men in politics, media and industry. You almost never see it in gay couples. When you do, the immediate assumption is “The ugly/older/fatter one is paying.”
