Stretched Ear Weird Feeling Xd

Stretching my ears to 00g... How long should I take?

So i'm stretching my ears. I started at 18, and stretched to a 12 right away ( i know it's not good to skip sizes but it didn't hurt and i've heard 12 is a good place to start.) My ear was healed in a week and i had no pain at all and could pull on my lobes. So exactly 1 week later I stretched again to a 10, They went in easily. a little pinch but no pain. Those healed very quickly and after a week they were fine, but i decided to wait an extra week. Then i stretched again to an 8 and thats where i'm at right now.. it's been almost a week and they seem completely healed... But should i still wait? i hear everyone's body is different, and i seem to be having no problems stretching as fast as I did, (even though they are small sizes.) I was wondering if it doesn't hurt, and my ears are healed and feel fine, could I stretch quicker than other people? And How long should i wait to get to 00g? im not super impatient, just wondering if it's necessary to wait so long (like 4 months)

What are the pro's and con's of stretched ears?

I've always liked the look of stretched ears but my parents say I shoulden't because i'm not sure what I want to do when I get older. and the ears will prevent me from getting a job. i'm 16 in highschool

Does stretching your ears ever STOP smelling weird?

How weird they smell can sometimes depend on the material of your jewelry-like for example, many say that they don't get as much odor with wood because it's porous & your ears can kind of like, 'breathe'. And then some say they get horrible odor with steel, yet I feel I get less odor with steel. In general though, everyone gets some odor & 'ear funk' (that lovely whiteish crud) to some degree. You'll always get these annoying people that try to act like they don't and are like, 'I don't get that because I clean my ****' (insinuating that you don't & are some kind of dirtball for daring to mention that you get it), but unless they're robots perhaps, everyone sheds dead skin cells & gets old oils, old soap/shampoo mixed with it to create ear funk. Even people without stretched ears often do-if they have say a pair they leave in a while,& then were to take them out & take a whiff, they'd likely smell something.

But you can reduce odor & the ear funk. Like I said, certain materials can make it better or worse for some people. Like for me, I don't wear acrylic because it really makes me get alot of it. And of course cleaning them helps, but it doesn't necessarily eliminate it totally. You can however also get products that help reduce odor, such as Funk Off Ear Deodorant and Smelly Jelly. You can get Funk Off on www.kingsbodyjewelry.com and Smelly Jelly on www.painfulpleasures.com.

What is that strange sound you hear when you yawn or stretch? Why does it make that sound?

Hypothesised causes of yawning

1. An indication of tiredness, stress, over-work, or boredom.
2. An action indicating psychological decompression after a state of high alert.
3. A means of expressing powerful emotions like anger, apathy, remorse or tedium.

A previous long-standing hypothesis is that yawning is caused by an excess of carbon dioxide and lack of oxygen in the blood. The brain stem detects this and triggers the yawn reflex. The mouth stretches wide and the lungs inhale deeply, bringing oxygen into the lungs and hence to the bloodstream. It is almost certain, however, that this hypothesis is incorrect. One study has documented that this effect does not exist.

A more recent hypothesis is that yawning is used for regulation of body temperature. Another hypothesis is that yawns are caused by the same chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain that affect emotions, mood, appetite and other phenomena. These chemicals include serotonin, dopamine, glutamic acid and nitric oxide. As more of these compounds are activated in the brain, the frequency of yawning increases. Conversely, a greater presence in the brain of opiate neurotransmitters such as endorphins reduces the frequency of yawning. Patients taking the serotonin reuptake inhibitor Paxil (Paroxetine HCl) have been observed yawning abnormally often.

Another theory is that yawning is similar to stretching. Stretching, like yawning, increases blood pressure and heart rate while also flexing many muscles and joints. It is also theorized that yawning helps redistribute an oil-like substance which coats the lungs and aids breathing. Some have observed that if one tries to stifle or prevent a yawn by clenching one's jaws shut, the yawn is unsatisfying. As such, the stretching of jaw and face muscles seems to be necessary for a satisfactory yawn.

Yet another theory is that yawning occurs to stabilize pressure on either side of the ear drums. The deep intake of air can sometimes cause a popping sound that only the yawner can hear; this is the pressure on the inner ear stabilizing. This commonly occurs in lower-pressure environments, such as inside an airplane, which cause the eardrums to be bent instead of flat.

Has anyone used stone plugs to stretch ears?

You can't wear stone initially in a fresh stretch, and not all stone is that heavy, I have tons of stone jewelry and the only one that's as heavy as steel is hematite. At 1" ALL jewelry that's not hollow is heavy, even bamboo is rather weighty at 1". So use whatever you like, as anything's gonna slowly help that natural stretching other than maybe Kaos earskins.

As for stones on the heavier side, hematite and obsidian, and gemstones like quartz and amethyst. Howlite, bloodstone, and unakite also have a nice weight to them. Tigereye and goldstone aren't terribly heavy, but somewhat hefty. Synthetics stones are often glass, which is somewhat heavy, or dyed howlite. So fake turquoise is heavier than real turquoise. If you have a rock and gem store near you, stop by to feel the weight of stones before buying stone jewelry online.
