Study Abroad In Norway To Major In Nursing

What would be best for me to major in?

You could do nursing or be a doctor (a good foundation for medical school is a bachelor's in biology). Knowing a foreign language or two would be a great asset in both professions, especially Spanish, considering the number of Hispanics needing medical care in the United States.

English would be a great major for someone who's passionate about writing, but it's not very practical...I would say it's less practical than other liberal arts degrees such as sociology and political science, but I could have be biased, being a political science major myself. Majoring in English won't get you many jobs unless you plan to go to graduate school for a more useful degree.

Although this isn't a major, you could take a few pre-law classes in the event that you would want to go on to law school. Law school requires good writing, and again, knowing a foreign language would be helpful. I think you could also specialize in something relating to health law, which is where a biology background would become useful, pretty much tying all three interests of yours together. For this, you could pick a major from English, biology, and a foreign language and then minor in one or both of the other fields.

Edit: You say you're interested in theatre? I am too! I started a minor in it but ultimately stopped because of a variety of complications; I didn't think it was worth it in the end. For this, I'd honestly just recommend taking theatre classes as electives and possibly doing community theatre outside of school. There's really not much you can do with theatre as a profession, and the options that are available are often low-paying and would require an additional job on the side.

How can I study abroad as transfer student?

I’m assuming you want to graduate on time or as close to on time as possible. You should try to find a study abroad program that offers courses that you can use towards your major or other university requirements such as language. You will need to work closely with your advisors to make sure the credits will transfer to your institution and to confirm that they can be used for degree requirements. I suggest doing this before you leave to study abroad.
