IBook page on my iPad is frozen HELP?
This happened to me too today, I'm also a new iPad owner. What I did, and what worked for other people also, was I went to the home screen, then held on the 'Power/Sleep button' and the 'Home' button (the square button) at the same time, holding on to both of these buttons will take you to the screen that says 'Slide to power off', when you see that message ignore it, keep holding on to both of the buttons. Then a black screen will appear, followed by a White apple logo, let go of the buttons now, and then after a few seconds or so you will be taken to the normal screen. And now the iBooks app should work! :)

You will need a jailbroken iDevise. Just down load and install PDF Printer from Cydia (it's in the Big Boss repo). Then, in the iBooks app, open PDF file you wish to transfer. Then chose the email/print icon. Once the Print Options box appears, chose the PDF icon to the top right of dialog box. Once the file "prints" open it in the app you want a copy kept in, such as PDF Expert. Pretty simple workaround! You will have a duplicate copy in iBooks... If you want to, you can delete the iBook version since a complete copy in now in your preferred PDF reader/editer app.

Contact the seller. Most ebooks have DRM on them thanks to all the scum-sucking pirates out there. iBooks may not be able to read the files with DRM on them. You can try Adobe reader, but the seller will be able to give you a definite answer on what apps work. They may have a custom app.

I've been reading a little bit about apple's ibook author. It seems pretty cool and easy. However, it seems like a lot of people are unhappy with it because you are trapped into only publishing your book on apple's ibook store. My question is.... Can I write a book with apple's ibook author and then write the same book using a different program to publish it on kindle fire? The kindle fire version would have have the same words and same cover but made in it's on way completely separate from apple's ibook author. thanks
