All of a sudden the other day my right hand/arm went numb then a few minutes later my lips and the inside of my mouth felt like i had gotten shots of novicane or something then i wasnt speaking right and was confused which i know are all signs of stroke. I went to the hospital and got a CT scan and my blood drawn, The CT scan came up good and i ended up being released with a huge headache and he told me to take a asprin a day (which im not doing until i go to my doc and he says to or not too) But now everything seems okay besides my heads kinda still hurting and i havent been feeling great but my question is, He told me i prolly have a kind've migrane that mimics a stroke .Does this happen to anyone else? Im young..I smoke but no drugs and rarely any alcohol.. This is the first time i've went numb but not the first time i've gotten a mean headache with confusion and not being able to speak right that happened about a year ago but everything was good until the other night when

The numbness and tingling is nerves. There are many facial nerves. What it could be is bell's palsy. None of this is life threatening or needed to be seen at the ER. The only reason to go to an ER is an A-B-C problem (airway, breathing, circulation). IF this continues till Monday call you doc in the am and explain the symptoms to him/her. If your bloodpressure is way high you will have visual disturbances and a headache, if way low you will be dizzy. A stroke(CVA cerebral vascular accident) would effect the ipsilateral side (face) cross over to the contralateral side of the body at the brainstem and you would have weakness on the left side of the body. Since you have no symptoms on the contralateral side of the body it can not in any way be a stroke

Why is my tongue numb after taking Benadryl?

Can numbness from a panic attack be sudden or is it only gradual?
Back when my anxiety first started, I'd always get a gradual tingling/numbness that would start in my hand and move throughout my body e.g. up my arm, through one side of my face and even in my mouth/teeth. That hasn't happened for a very long time, even if I've had a bad panic attack. Recently though, I experienced a migraine aura (blind spot, weird zig zags etc) and it completely freaked me out and I was in a very high state of panic, and out of nowhere my whole arm right went numb (which obviously didn't help the panic lol). I'm trying to figure out if it was from the panic attack (and if so, why wasn't it gradual), or whether it was some other effect of the migraine aura. After about 5 minutes of it being numb, I had the usual symptoms of it gradually moving throughout my body e.g. to my teeth/tongue and face and eventually it went away (have never had this symptom otherwise during migraine aura, I think I was just very scared that time).
