Suggestions As To How To Keep My Girlfriend From Knowing Our Flight Destination Once We Arrive At

What should someone flying out of India for the first time know about airports, immigration, and air travel? What procedures and jargon should one be aware of?

Before the flight and Check in:Go to the airport and check in like a normal domestic flight, please be mindful of any additional requirements in place for the country you are visiting(since you might be asked for at check in), like yellow fever vaccination certificate for example if you are visiting Brazil.Be mindful of the Baggage allowance, some airlines do not allow 2pcs of check-in babbage, for the ones that do its usually 23Kgs per bag of free allowance. You dont need to be at the airport 3 hours prior like usually recommended, unless if your flight is late in the night during which the queue would be quite long.Immigration:Collect your boarding pass and your cabin baggage and walk to the immigration desk, keep a pen handy since you have to fill a form of your details.Wait for your turn(at times these lines can be painfully long),open up the page of your passport on which the visa is stamped and hand it to the immigration officer along with the form filled.Usually most of the immigration officers would ask you a question or two and at times none at all, be calm and just answer them normally. If you have all documentation related to your travel, it should be super quick.Customs Declaration:You dont need to declare anything unless you are carrying a lot of taxable new stuff with you, that too it would be a asked at the destination. A laptop and camera in your cabin baggage are allowed.Security:Clear the security just like domestic airports, you might have to take your boots off if you are wearing any. After this proceed to your gate, remember to keep your passport safe, sit back relax and think of ways to pass your time prior to boarding. Have a nice trip!!

How to keep the holiday destination a secret from my girlfriend until we board the plane?

I'm planning on taking my girlfriend on a 'surprise holiday' to Egypt next summer. I'd like to keep the destination a surprise as far as I can, if possible, right up till we board the plane where she will inevitibly see 'Egypt' on a sign.
However, how can I actually go about doing this? Surely she will need to check her luggage etc in and she will need to know where she's flying then? Or could I check her in for her?

Any ideas?

How can I ask a girl if she arrived safely to her home?

If it's a date that ends late just say that you would like to make sure she gets home safely and asking she could text you when she gets home. If you don't demand it and don't do it too often, then you can avoid being being an overbearing, controlling twerp. In fact probably make a comment on how you aren't like that so that she can put down the red flag.Don't do it if it's still light outside. I personally (And a lot of my girl friends) find it patronising and controlling, if you ask out of kindness and love, then it is usually well received. The other option is to just send a text like:“Hope the journey home wasn't bad. Had a great time.”Or“Just wondering if you got home alright. Hope to see you soon!”Casual and genuine interest in the person's safety is needed. Nobody likes to be micromanaged.

I'm a teen flying by myself for the first time?

I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm going to be flying from NC to Canada to visit my best friend in a few weeks. I'm going to be by myself and honestly I have no clue what to do at the airports. I'm really nervous about getting lost or not being able to find my gate or doing something wrong.
What do I do during the layovers, during security, and how do I find my luggage? I would appreciate any tips you could give me about what to do...
I don't mind long detailed answers. The more info, the better! Thanks. :)

(please no rude or stupid answers)

FIRST FLIGHT ON MY OWN! HELP!!!?

Check if your flight company provides an online check in, your actual check in will go much faster and you'll not have to wait in line so much, because you can use fast bag drop and it'll help you deal with problems sooner. Always arrive at the airport three to two hours early.

Once you enter the airport, the check in counters should be apperent. Check online or on the sign boards at the airport which check in caters the company you're flying with. Also memorize your flight number, say "QR 541" and look out for that number, it'll appear on the signboards next to it's destination and when it leaves.
At the check in counter, when your boarding card is printed, the gate is written. In my experience the person behind the counter always tells you which number represents your gate.
Next you follow the signs to your gate, and hang around. It's possible it's a long walk and you will encounter passport checks, so be sure to have it at hand at all times, I suggest you get a special bag in which you keep all your travel documents together.
Once at your gate, you wait until boarding commences, usually when that is, is printed on your boarding pass. Then you fly and get to Belgium. This is tricky for me because my stops have always involved boarding another plane. But if you had to board another plane, they'll have given you two tickets in Newcastle, you'll get to the transfer terminal. If not, just stay on the plane, unless they allow people off.

The airport itself? Things written you won't have a problem, because it used to be a colony. Once past the airport you'll probably hear some local words. I talked to a Tanzanian girl once, it was sometimes quite hard to understand.

All in all, flying is intimidating the first time, but for us, mere passengers it's incredibly simple and straightforward.

Carry on and plane tips for a teen girl?

Im 14, and have never been on a plane before! Im so scared, and i dont know what to pack in my carry on. I have a pretty big carry on, its a roxy backpack with 2 pockets. One big one, and a smaller one in the front & theres 2 mesh pockets on either side. Im bringing makeup on the plane because we are flying to the czek republic and i have a quart size baggy, would it be a bad idea to put in the mesh pocket or would it get stolen?? Our itinerary goes like this:
-hometown to chicago *1.5 hours
-chicago to frankfurt, germany *9 hours
-frankfurt to prague * approxamatley 2.5 hours

* also we are leaving my house at about 6 because the plane leaves at 7:45, we get to chicago at about 8, their time. so basically the flight is all over night, and we get to prague in the early afternoon.

also, i have braces, if that matters snack-wise. We are leaving in about 3 days, and it will be summer there && we will be there for 3 weeks *18 days to be exact* <-- i dont know if that matters about my carry-on but ill take any help i can get (:

umm, i have long hair? how should i wear it on the plane, like what would be the most practical...
and on the plane im wearing sweatpant capri's from abercrombie and fitch, and my cheer sweat shirt, which is kind of heavy but super comfy! any feedback on this would be super helpful!

another thing, i LOVE reading! but i dont know if i should bring a book, or just some magazines? i bet i could finish one book the whole plane ride, but i dont know if its practical to bring...

what shoes should i wear on the plane? i was just going to wear flip flops and bring some fluffy socks, and the last question. What should i expect of a plane ride? please tell me, i would like to be well informed (:

PLEASE HELP (:
