I make it pretty simply. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Spray the cut side of both halves with oil. But them cut side down on the pan and bake for an hour. Then I scrape out the insides with a fork, and season to taste with butter, salt and pepper, but season it as you like.
