If Google takes over Twitter, would it be a hostile takeover?

No, it would NOT be a hostile takeover!  The only circumstance under which a hypothetical purchase of Twitter by Google would be considered adversarial, i.e. hostile, would be if Twitter's board of directors disapproved of and openly resisted Google's overtures. The following scenario is typical of a hostile takeover, rather than a mutually beneficial merger or acquisition:The acquirer ('raider') usually takes the takeover offer directly to the target firm's stockholders (shareholders) or seeks their approval to remove the obstructing board members. --What is a hostile takeover? Definition and meaningGoogle does not have a history of hostile takeover behavior, not that we know of.  Most of Google's acquisitions have been private companies, without shares listed on public exchanges. If Twitter were to be a Google takeover target, and Twitter were unwilling, everyone would know the details, as both companies are public.Watch the movie, Wall Street, to get a good idea of what constitutes a hostile takeover. Google would be Michael Douglas/Carl Icahn, Twitter would be Blue Star Airlines and Dick Costolo would be Martin Sheen. The term "hostile takeover" refers to the financial transaction only. Google's penchant for absorbing the talent and technology of acquired businesses, then discontinuing the existing product, is a strategic decision. It feels quite hostile to happy former users of the acquired company's products or services, but that is a different issue.* See too Username's answer to Why would Twitter be willing to be bought out by Google?

Should Srinagar be made the summer capital of India, to enhance India's sovereignty over the entire Kashmir region ? What are the challenges in doing so ?

I've two answers for your interesting question- one answer is the actual answer based on facts, the second one is a hypothetical answer.Let me answer based on facts first.J&K is a disputed territory, India can never make Srinagar as its capital. Even if India pushes for such an initiative it'll be confronted by Kashmiris as well as Pakistan as it'll be a direct threat to disputed nature of J&K. It'll reduce article 370 to nothing. Also, the militant threat would always be looming over. Shifting capital from Delhi to Srinagar means you'll have to set up embassies in Srinagar. This is very foolish step from security point of view. Kashmir valley is very volatile. This will also not spell out because of poor connectivity of Kashmir with the other parts of India. Sometimes even heavy rainfall leads to halt of road operations. Srinagar airport doesn't even have night landing facilities, and the airport is very small. Train facilities are just for locals and hasn't been connected with India. So, keeping in mind the disputed nature of J&K, it's imposible to make Srinagar capital of India. Now, moving to the hypothetical answer to your question.Yes, it'll be one of the best steps India can take in integrating Kashmir with India. Making it the capital means more influx of Indians into Kashmir. Multiple ethnicities from different parts of India will live in Kashmir and integrate with people of Kashmir. More support companies will be setup in Srinagar and it'll give the city dwellers more economic opportunities. There'll be more and more seminars, conferences, political rallies in Srinagar and this will lead to making the people forget the disputed nature of the state. Thus, if Srinagar is made the capital, it'll somehow create a different vibe altogether. It'll be a good step, but as I said before, it's hypothetical. It's highly unlikely, even if state makes roads of gold the aspirations of Kashmiri people are very strong and sentimental to be altered.

How do I take over in a basketball game?

I'm a high school freshman and have been doubted all my life in middle school. I've improved by a mile during summer ( I was a star during summer camp) but my classmates are still in doubt because they haven't seen me play to my full potential yet. Recently my class' star player has been hit with dengue fever (unable to play) and I see this as an opening for me to go ahead and take over.

The rules are kinda stupid, you can only play 2 quarters, 1/2/3 and the 4th. Subs are only allowed in the 4th. I was meant to play in the third quarter but I will have to move to the first in place of my classmate. There is no one that can consistently score in that quarter except him. I can score and get through defenders, but during real game time, I get extremely nervous. I think when I play but when it comes to competitive play I lose myself and make the worst decisions. That's why I can't say I can score consistently. Do you guys know how I can over come this? I need to prove once and for all that I'm no pushover.

When Theon took over Winterfell with only 30 men, why didn't Bran and Rickon set their direwolves on them? Couldn't they have easily killed them all off?

Before or after the ironborn snuck into Winterfell? The main reason, apart from the fact that the castle was seriously undermanned, which allowed Theon to capture Winterfell was the fact that everything happened in secret, overnight, in the cover of darkness. As soon as the handful of armed guards were taken down, Theon had direct access to Bran, Rickon, and pretty much everyone else at Winterfell. If he takes a dagger to Rickon's throat and demands that they control the direwolves, there's nothing anyone could do but submit. Remember this?Robb, and Grey Wind (was Summer there too?) could do nothing but surrender, and ironically it was Theon who saved them.Even otherwise, two direwolves will be no match for twenty ironborn raiders. They will rip the face off four, maybe five soldiers, but once the swords, spears and crossbow bolts start singing, they will die.

Why is Ether often considered to be the greatest diss track?

Great question! To answer it, i'll need to provide some context. Nas' first album, Illmatic (1994), was a CLASSIC. It was considered by many to be one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time. By 1999, his influence and fame were waning, and the 1999 album Nastradamus was considered absolute garbage. In contrast, Jay-Z was HOT. Every album was hot and critically acclaimed. So when Jay-Z dissed Nas at the Summer Jam (one line: "ask Nas, he don't want it with Hov"), and Nas responded with the Stillmatic freestyle, Jay-Z responded with Takeover, which was absolutely brilliantly crafted. It was the shot heard around the world, at the time one of the greatest disses ever imagined. It was universally acclaimed as the END of Nas, who was already seemingly at the end of his career (because his most recent release was two years ago and it was Nastradamus. Meanwhile, Jay-Z had just dropped Blueprint, the album he is most known for.).Everyone knew Nas was going to respond, but no one expected Ether from Nas because he hadn't been hot since maybe 1996,1997. So, to finally answer your question:Ether is considered the greatest diss track because it was the ultimate "come from behind" victory. A formerly great rapper, brilliantly dissed by the top rapper in the game, responded with the unexpected knockout blow that no one believed he was even capable of. It saved his career and hip-hop heads everywhere rejoiced that the Nas they had been missing since Illmatic was still here.Source: Nas is my favorite rapper. I own every album he ever made, including Nastradamus, and I know every lyric from every song, except for every song on Nastradamus (Well, I know "You owe me" w/ Ginuwine, because that was all over the radio and BET).

What countries did the Romans invade?

At the time?Italia, Gaul, Illyria, Hispana, Carthage, Numidia, Greece, Macedon, Thrace, Pontus, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Germania, Britain, Belgica, fora start. This is broad groupings. Of those, only Carthage, Numidia, Macedon, Pontus, Egypt, Syria, and Iran were ‘countries’.In modern day terms?Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Algeria, Morroco, Tunisia, Libya, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Syria, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Andorra, Montenegro, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Malta, San Marino. It’s quite likely I’m missing a few. These are countries they invaded, not necessarily successfully.Amusingly, not the Vatican City, unless we take the frequent Roman Civil Wars into account.
