Super 8 Silent Projector - Another Question On Sound

Is astral projection true? If so, has anyone done it? Is there a standard procedure?

Hi,Thanks for A2A.ASTRAL PROJECTION or A.P. is obviously and doubtlessly real and true.Because I have experienced it myself.I know how it feels, how it is like to be in astral world, how it is like to float over your body far far away from your regular course, regular portion of life.Let me give you short introduction about it. Astral projection is not an easy-peasy experience to experience .You have to spare a lot of time, practice a lot, meditate a lot, work with your chakras a lot, keep patience to experience it.Some are born with the natural habit of astral projecting. They astral project every now an then and even spontaneously but we,the ordinary fella ain’t born with this gift.We have to practice a lot in order to reach that high level. At least I had to go through a lot in order to experience astral projection. For your third question, yes there is a standard procedure. Also, there are more than one procedures starting from monroe method, rope method, hammock method to wkae induced method. But,this one is my personal favourite → → → →You start with relaxing your body, muscles, mind and then let go all of your thoughts.with time your mind becomes less responsive to the outside world and you enter a hallucinating state commonly known as Hypnagogic state. With time your body becomes numb and heavy. You enter sleep paralysis. If you carry on, you enter a deeper state commonly known as pre-obe state.Sooner or later you feel your heart thumping against your chest and your body itching very badly. This sensation is intolerable and makes you move.BUT,if you manage not move and not to think a single thing, you get deeper and vibrations catch you.First, you will feel electricity shots running all over your body. It’s not painful but a quite enjoyable state.A buzzing sound generated from your inside accompanies these vibrations. With time they increase and make you go shake as if you were in an earthquake and you start to feel yourself being lifted upwards as if someone were lifting you.You finally come out of your body. This is how ASTRAL PROJECTION is done. Also have a look at these other methods→”66 methods to astral project”Let me know if it was helpful or not and don’t forget to upvote and comment.Hope this helps.

Basic question about projector/sound bar?

Uhhhhh usually you hook a sound system up AHEAD of the projector by running HDMI through a AV Receiver, or running the optical output of your source device (cable box, sat receiver, BluRay, Media Streamer, etc) to a sound system.

You want to avoid Bluetooth. It is stereo or 2 speakers worth of sound. Home theater is 5.1. See the problem?

If you go for the sound bar solution, get one that has HDMI input and outputs. This will strip off the audio for the sound bar use and pass along the video to the projector.

Was there sound on 8 and super 8mm movie reels?

Although both standard 8 mm and Super 8 are 8 mm wide, Super 8 has a larger image area because of its smaller perforations.

The original Super 8 film release (1965) was a silent system only, but in 1973 a sound on film version was released. The sound film had a magnetic soundtrack and came in larger cartridges than the original so as to accommodate a longer film path, and a second aperture for the recording head.

Sound cameras were compatible with silent cartridges, but not vice versa. Kodak discontinued the production of Super 8 sound film in 1997, citing environmental regulations as the reason (the adhesive used to bond the magnetic track to the film was environmentally hazardous.

How do I get started using a Super 8 film camera?

Sound film is no longer manufactured, but silent film will work fine in your camera. The most readily available Super8 colour film today is Kodak Ektachrome 64T which has a film speed of 64 ASA - quite a lot of older cameras can't meter for this film speed properly and will either over or underexpose your film. I've done a bit of research, and although your camera can't meter for 64 ASA film properly, it has a manual override. If you adjust the aperture to be 2/3 of a stop less than the in-camera meter suggests, you should have no problem with Ektachrome.

To project the film, you can use any Super 8 or Double 8 projector. Ask around - you might find that someone you know or a local school or college has one they no longer need or would let you borrow.

For editing, you have to use good old fashioned cutting and splicing. You'll need a Super 8 tape splicer and splicing tape. It's very useful to have a viewer as well so that you can see more accurately where you want to cut your film. You could also get your film digitised (a process known as 'telecine') and edit it on your computer... but where's the fun in that? :P

What are the pros and cons of 8mm film?

You CAN get 8mm movie film. That is a common misconception people seem to have, that you can't get 8mm movie film anymore. But you CAN. I use it all the time. You have to order it online, but they still make NEW 8mm, Super-8, and 16mm movie film.

I really wish people would check facts before they perpetuate a myth that "oh you can't get 8mm movie film anymore." YES you can. A lot of people like to use 8mm as a hobby.

Advantages:

- You can find vintage 8mm movie cameras and projectors on eBay in good condition for dirt cheap. (I got a really nice Bolex K2 camera for about $50).

-8mm movie film has a very unique look to it. Especially if you watch it on a projector

-When exposed correctly with a good camera, it has surprisingly good quality.

- It's fun!

Disadvantages:

- The film is kind of expensive.

- You have to order the film, and then mail it out to a lab to be developed, which can be a little inconvenient. Unless you live near a commercial photo lab that can develop movie film

- 8mm movie cameras are silent only. It is possible to record sound separately and synchronize and edit it so that you get a movie with sound, but this is tricky to do. If you get the film telecined (transferred to a video), it's fairly easy to edit it on a computer though.
