The thing is, SMB 3 does seem like one of the most engaging and fun NES games with excellent graphics and game play.If you are asking personal opinion, I daresay your answer would be Yes 7 out of 10 times. This is because not all like fun jumping games and some are into more action packed games like Ninja Gaiden, Contra and Double Dragon.I personally like both SMB series (1/2/3) and Ninja Gaiden Series (2/3 - 1 not that much) equally. Contra Series and Islander Series would be the next candidates of good games.

I know there is a whistle at the end of world 1-3, world 1 fortress, and the desert land fire trooper. But for many years I am pondering about the princess letter she send after completing world 6 (Ice Land). Of course the letter describing that she's asking if you found the whistle at the darkness at the end of world 3. For years I was thinking about the darkness around 3-9 since it the only sector in World 3 that has a white pillar in there...but I am never fast enough to disocover the darkness. Now I am wondering is there a fourth wistle at all?

I'd venture to guess its pretty well known by now- but it's that endless underwater level, -1. You have to get there from some trick in level 1-2, jumping above the exit pipe and "through" the brick wall as a glitch and down the first pipe of the 2 or 3 that are there. One you get in though thats it. You can't leave.

Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, Zombies Ate my Neighbors (one of my faves), and this is going to sound bizarre, but Wizard of Oz was actually one of my other favorites. I don't know, it just seemed so cool and was super fun from what I remember of it.
