What ability and power will your superhero have?
I would choose the power to be invisible, intangible and go into a pocket dimension where no sound, light, heat, people, nor any kind of object existed. Not space, anything, just pure nothing, there is where I would get quality alone time, where I can be bothered by anyone or anything other than my own thoughts.It would also be the place where I do my best distraction free writing.That would be my super-power, to be completely anonymous and unreachable by any force in the universe.
Is time manipulation a good superhero ability?
I would think so. Besides going forward and backward in time, you could also use it to slow time down to a point where you can be attacking them at an extremely quick speed, or to stop things from hitting you, or to rewind and stop things from hurting others. You could completely undo tragedies and get emergency services/other superheroes to show up before they were even called to the scene of a crime. The only problem is reaction time. Sometimes, if you're not using your powers, and you get shot in the back of the head, you won't be able to fix the problem, because you're dead. You would need to have armor and safeguards in place to be able to stay safe long enough to react to the situation.
If I was a superhero with the ability to control a single animal, what would be the most awesome animal to be my sidekick?
I know it's almost cliche, but I would have to say polar bear. Not only would it make you look super awesome, but consider these little polar bear facts:1) How many people would mess with you if you've got ol' Frosty following you around? Answer: very few. Although that may be because of the velociraptor behind them.2) Aside from just generally being massive and awesome, polar bears are amazing stealth hunters. Just when your enemies think they're safe: BAM! Polar bear!3) Polar bears are determined, have an awesome sense of smell, and will chew glass if they have to in order to get some tasty, tasty man meat.4) While a polar bear is obviously capable of kicking ass on land, consider just how far can a polar bear swim as well. They can swim for up 40km, just for fun! And when desperate, they've been known to swim for as far 350km. Your enemy thinks he's escaped you by swimming across the River? Think again, buddy. Think again.5) A polar bear is so strong, it can kill an animal with a single swipe of paw. This means 'high fives' are out, but 'awesome kills' are in.6) By 'control' let's assume this means the animal won't attack you. If that's the case, when you're feeling a bit lonely because no one understands you or your secret identity, you have the world's most awesome beanbag / fur blanket to snuggle up to while watching back-to-back episodes of Frozen Planet.So there you have it. Give him weaknesses. Say, for example, he absorbs energy through a gem on his chest. A gem that, if were ever torn from his body, would rende rhim powerless.Pit him against balanced enemies. Being OP is relative; Superman is OP compared to The Joker, but Batman is on his level. Give him enemies who are on the same level as him.Make sure he’s relatable, he still has a character other than “"I like to beat up bad guys,”.
