What supplies do I need for high school? (Both for educational and personal purposes)

But a possible idea would be to buy them beforehand before the stores run out in the back-to-school rush and save them, if they aren’t needed, for subsequent years.I read this somewhere on Quora and I’ll certainly do this next year. Instead of binders (unless your teacher really, really wants binders and/or mandates binders only), use folders with the three prongs and side pockets. It’s much, much lighter.Pens & Pencils & HighlightersYour basics. I personally prefer pens as they look much nicer on paper and they are more vibrant then pencils. However you should still keep some pencils on you for subjects like math where you’re constantly erasing and fixing errors.Highlighters are a no-brainer.WhiteoutIf you’re going to use pens, get some whiteout. The whiteout tape more specifically. They don’t need to try before you can write on it like liquid whiteout and there usually isn’t an odor.Backpack (a good one)Do yourself a favor and invest in a good backpack or some kind of bag. You’ll be carrying a good number of textbooks, notebooks, folders, binders, etc and unless you like back pain, DO IT!PersonalGumDefinitely. This is a must. HI Jessica, Don't buy anything before you have visited your teachers and classes. Now, we all know you are going to use pens and spirals... but perhaps there are specific supplies your teachers will be requesting... like floppy binders or recordable DVD's orCDs. No need in you spending money before you know where that money needs to go. It is kind of like going to college. You just show up with a small spiral and write down all of the supplies each teacher needs in that. Then you go shopping for the exact and specific items that were requested. No $$$ wasted and probably lots of $$$ saved. If you want to buy something beforehand, get a nice tote... as teachers will be handing out books and syllabus and you will need something to carry these things in. the supplies u need are; 1.notebooks for each class idk if u wanna do like 5 subject and just do that but i write a lot so just my opinion 2.highlighters 3.colored pencils/markers 4.ruler 5.scientific calculator 6. sharpener 7.mechanical or regular pencil whatever u use, leads in case u get mechanical pencils 8. erasers 9. graph paper 10.a lot of loose leaf paper ur going to write like a bunch of things 11.pens/black,red and blue 12.folders for each subject 13.a composition notebook if ur taking science 14. a backpack maybe a messenger or a tote 15.post-it if u wanna like use it for class and other things 16. dividers/sheet protector 17.white out if ur teachers like lets u use different kind of pens 18.pencil pouch 19.glue 20.a pocket dictionary 21.index cards if u want for like test to study 22. and i strongly recommend a planner to write down ur schedule and class assignments the reason u need glue and colored pencils if ur taking like art science,history ur need glue and colored pencils u think ur going to be done with that in before high school ur wrong lol but ya there u go good luck iam also going to be a freshman this year

Last year, all I needed for the beginning of the year was a large binder (two smaller ones would work), a pen, a few pencils, a pack of lined notebook paper, a composition book, and dividers for the binder.Depending on the classes you take, you might need extra supplies like textbook covers.
