I am also throwing a sweet 16 party for myself, here in a few weeks...and I also have a budget so i thought id just share with you of what i am planning on doing, hopefully it will help you out some, cause i know how stressful it can be, since im in the same situation too. But, right now, I am just having a whole bunch of friends come over to my dads house(boys and girls)... we will have food and drinks set out and of course the cake and that. And basically we are all just going to hangout and we will have the music going and that.. play some games and im kinda thinking im going to rent some scary movies...that always fun. and the food, im just having like snack/finger foods... nothing to big. hopefully this helps you.

I m having a sweet 16 on November 14th. I need some ideas on what I should do. I want it to be outside but I don t know how the weather will be. I m inviting both girls and boys so I need things both of them will enjoy. I live out in the country so I have room to do things. I wanted to do a hay ride but the weather is a major issue. I'm not having a 16th birthday party, will I regret it?
I didn't have a BIG birthday party when I was 16. I know most teens celebrate that (even though turning 18 and 21 are waaaay more important. That's REAL adulthood. Not 16. Bahahaha.) but, it isn't something that's required of you. I had a small get-together with close friends when I turned 16 and I don't regret it at all. People throw a BIG party, spend lots of money on it, and in all honesty... unless they are super popular and can say they have 100 or more great friends... everyone just wants to be "invited" to the party in the end. No one cares about the birthday, the new phase in life. It's all about the food, drinks, dancing, and their other closer friends who were also invited. Not the birthday boy/girl. allright, so my bestfriend and I are planning on having a HEUGE sweet 16 party coming up this December (it's the month btwn. both of our b-days) and we need some ideas such as who to invite, what kind of food (if any), invitations, favors, dress codes(I have the idea of black and white, but not in love with it), and other things to go on during the party. We want to have it either in one of those big "conference or whatever" rooms in a hotel or some other place where it will be a dance party with a lot of people.
