Really bad nausea, stomach pain?

You might just have a case of the stomach flu or you could have acid/indigestion or heartburn in the stomach. The stomach lies from left side across the bottom of the rib cage on the right.Do you drink sodas and caffeine drinks. Caffeine can irritate the lining of the stomach, cause gas, nausea and pain.Drink plenty of water. limit spicy foods and don't eat before bed. Try taking an over the counter drug antacid like Prilosec. Look for the store brand it is much cheaper. Take it morning or night on a empty stomach. Make sure you drink water before bed. This might save you a Doctor's visit.

I took Imodium, now my stomach hurts.?

I know it's probably a little late but I'm desperate. If anyone could help me it would be vastly appreciated.

I've had the flu for about five days and this being day 5, I'm basically back to my old self. Except for one problem, the only thing that won't go away is the terrible runs.

This is the first time I've ever had to take Imodium, and it's pretty regular for me to get sick between September to December.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I've already missed two days of school and unless I can get help soon, it'll be three.

Also, since I took the regular doctor's amount (about 8 hours ago) I've had terrible stomach aches. Although I can control my bowls now, (I'm not running to the bathroom, trying not to shat myself) I can't really seem to excrete anything.

I know it's gross, and also really embarrasing, but I'm desperate.

What is my stomach swollen after appendectomy?

Do you mean stomach or abdomen (belly)? If it was done by laparoscopy [most likely] they pump in gas to make room to work. Your body will naturally resorb the gas and the swelling will go down. If it feels swollen, any invasive procedure leaves some residual local inflammation. This is oversimplified, but the body gears up for trouble when it’s invaded. As soon as it realizes there’s no infection to fight and only minor healing to accomplish [the stump] it will calm down and the feeling will stop. Sharp pain [not a dull ache, or soreness] should be reported right away.

How can I get the swelling to go down in new belly button piercing?

First of all, all these people obviously don't have a lot of piercings.

Redness in belly button piercings are normal and the skin on the stomach is going to be a little warmer because of the location- so it doesn't mean it's infected. You'll know if it's infected. You'll have nasty pus (usually a green, orange, or funky color) white pus is usually normal and usually not a sign of infection but you still want to make sure.

It sounds like you're irritating the crap out of the piercing. Stop moving it around, you want to avoid touching the piercing as much as possible- that means ONLY touch it when cleaning it. Also, make sure you clean you hands before touching the piercing and if you touch ANYTHING wash your hands before handling the piercing.

Now to clean, you didn't specify how you're cleaning it so I'll give you a good regime to go by.

Clean the piercing with a mild antibacterial soap such as Dial once a day (I find it easiest to do this in the shower) Do this at night or in the morning when you shower- then every night or morning (opposite of when you used the soap) do a sea salt soak.

Mix non-iodized sea salt with warm water in a shot glass or a dixie cup and soak the piercing for about 10 minutes. Sea salt soaks with promote healing and clear up or prevent infections.

Good luck!

Right testicle pain, and slight swelling after sex?

So, I have had epiditimitis 3 times in my right testicle ( basically the veins got twisted, or a blood vessel inflames ) however, that was a looooong time ago.

I'm 21 years old. -Physically- healthy.

Anyway, after sex, or a workout ( like jogging, or a brisk walk )

I get more of discomfort ( sometimes pain ) but more of discomfort in my right testicle. And not the testicle its self but the part that connects to it ( all those veins and what not ) swell up.

It only last for about 30-60 minutes

but I'm wondering if I should be concerned or if it's nothing out of the norm?

I'm in the process of switching my family doctor, so I don't know when I'll see my new doctor, maybe a month?

To worry, or not worry?

What's causing my abdominal swelling?

Non Life-Threatening Causes
Abdominal swelling has many causes, most of which are non life-threatening. Liver disease, on the other hand, is very dangerous and because of fluids, bile and blood backing up in the liver and related ducts, it can cause severe and uncomfortable abdominal bloating. Much of the time, however, the real problem is simply dehydration, as many people do not drink enough water throughout the day. If you don't drink an adequate amount each day, your body will store water and quite often the abdomen is where it will be stored--because this is where most of the important internal organs are located. Your organs need an adequate water supply to function properly.

Proper Diet
Your diet is important in reducing the amount of bloating. Some foods are difficult to digest, most likely due to artificial sweeteners and chemical preservatives in the food. A good diet change you can make is to eat only foods that are organic, without additives and preservatives. Eating too much in one sitting can be a problem, because it forces the stomach to expand temporarily to accommodate more food than it is used to. Gas causes uncomfortable bloating and it can be exacerbated by eating too much, or chewing gum. Gum chewers swallow a lot of air as they chew; cutting out the chewing every so often is a good way to relieve the problem. Dairy products present a problem for those who are lactose intolerant. Abdominal swelling is a primary symptom of lactose intolerance.

Fatty Foods
Fatty foods are slow to digest and can create problems in the digestive tract, causing the whole system to back up and create gas and bloating. Reducing the amount of fat in the diet is very helpful in reducing bloat. Constipation leads to abdominal swelling due to the backup of feces in the bowel. This problem is often caused by a shortage of water in the system. Drinking more water helps get things moving again, relieving the pressure. Tumors, such as those involved in ovarian cancer, also can cause abdominal swelling. See your doctor to make sure the problem is not a serious one.

Upper stomach bloated and hard?!?

Often, my upper stomach tends to bloat and go hard. I have sort of a chubby stomach, I'm size 12 and the lower part remains soft and squishy. I also have lower back pain and my stomach makes strange gurgling noises and happens mostly after I have eaten. However, it occurs any time. Pregnancy has worried me but the last time I had sex was end of June, a condom was used and it was a couple of days after my period ended. I had a late/light period in August, July was missed and the other periods were fine but December was two weeks late and a bit lighter. I've also had negative pregnancy tests. Any ideas??
